Stephen Baldwin,
Stephen Baldwin bankruptcy
Actor Stephen Baldwin is millions of dollars in debt according to court reports, and has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, OMG! Yahoo reports. A filing Tuesday in federal court in New York shows that Baldwin owes $1.2 million in two mortgages on a property about 30 miles north of New York City valued at $1.1 million. The document shows he also owes more than $1 million in taxes and has about $70,000 in credit card debt. His wife, Kennya Baldwin, is also named in the filing.
Dang!!!!! Well, in all honesty, I can't really say much about this case. I haven't had the chance to be in debt like that and I don't know anyone that far into debt. In no way am I trying to get on him or say that he is not capable of handling this matter, but seriously guys, this is just a reminder to us that we all have to make sure that we don't take on more than we can afford or spend too frivolously. We have to be wise stewards of our money. Regardless of if we're celebrities or just regular down-home people, we have to be able to handle things. Again, that is not to get on Stephen. I'm not going to judge Stephen and say that, "Oh his behind is a celebrity! He should be able to handle all this!" I don't know him like that. More than likely, none of you reading this do. Times are hard, man. Even our paid actors, actresses, and music artists are going through it.
I hope everything works out for Stephen and his wife.
PEACE.
