Empire's co-stars Grace Gealey and Trai Byers are engaged!

According to E! News, Trai planned the engagement himself. He set it up to where Grace thought they were going to dinner, just the two of them. However, he also gathered a few of her friends and family members to surprise her on the new engagement.

Always good to know that a foundation of love is still being built between two people.

Claire Holt, best known for her role as Rebekah Mikaelson on the hit show The Originals, is getting married!

The actress announced the news on her Instagram page, posting a picture of her with boyfriend Matt Kaplan. The lighting is bright, but you can somewhat see a ring glistening on her finger! Claire simply captioned the photo, "Yes."

Iggy Azalea and Nick Young are taking things to the next level!  After two years of dating, Nick proposed to Iggy, and she said yes!


"She said yes. It’s over man. I’m getting married!” Nick wrote on Instagram below a photo of the couple kissing and Iggy showing off her engagement ring — which has been said to cost $500,000!

Looks like Kim Kardashian has another ring to flaunt. At Kim's 33rd birthday celebration last night at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Kanye West reportedly popped the question in a huge way!

After asking Kris Jenner for her daughter’s hand in marriage, Kanye supposedly gave Kim a huge 15-carat diamond ring from Lorraine Schwarts, while the field’s jumbo screen flashed, “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!”

A 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey‘s “Young and Beautiful,” followed by Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo and Kanye’s ”Knock You Down. Then a display of fiireworks hit the sky! Really really grand, as only could be expected.

This will be Kim's third marriage. Her first was from 2000-2003 to music producer Damon Thomas. Her second, which was just finalized in April, was to Brooklyn Nets player Kris Humphries and lasted only 72 days after their lavish wedding in August 2011. All power to her for wanting to get married again. I just hope that this time it lasts for her!

A big congratulations goes out to Naya Rivera and Big Sean who are officially taking that next step in their relationship! That's right, the couple is engaged, six months after first stepping out as a couple!

Naya's rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly. The couple walked the red carpet at Latina Magazine's Hollywood Hot List party at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood and the Glee star was rocking a very nice engagement ring on her finger!

Naya was wearing a beautiful outfit from Giorgio Armani, but stayed quiet about her engagement even though she was wearing the ring! However, she loved talking about Sean. When asked what she loved most about him, the actress said, "Everything! He's my best friend." Aww how cute!

Though this engagement is a pretty quick one, I wish Naya and Sean the best. I think they are a very cute couple. And Sean, that ring? INCREDIBLE. Congrats guys!

After three years of dating, singer Miley Cyrus and  actor Liam Hemsworth are engaged to be married! Their reps confirmed the news to PEOPLE.

"I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam," Miley said.

Liam and Miley met when they co-starred as love interests in The Last Song back in 2009 and were dating ever since. Liam proposed on May 31 with a 3.5-carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane!

Wow! I think they're a very cute couple, and I hope that their marriage holds up! I want them to have a nice little engagement though. They're both pretty young, and are busy with their own ventures. Right now, Miley is working on a new album, and Liam is filming a few movies before he stars filming the second Hunger Games movie. Think they should just take it slow and make sure marriage is right for them right now. Congrats to them though!

Seems things were a little too rush. Just a few short weeks after announcing their engagement, the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin and her fiance William 'Willie' Wilkerson have called off their wedding, which was supposed to take place this summer. According to PEOPLE, Aretha released a statement today:

 "Regretfully, To Our Friends and Supporters: Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast, and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly," she said. "There will be no wedding at this time. We will not comment on it any further because of the very personal and sensitive nature of it. We appreciate all of the many well wishes from friends." The statement was signed "Aretha and Will."

This is not necessarily saying that they're over, or that there will never be a wedding. Sometimes, people jump into things a little too fast. And yeah, Aretha's pushing 70, but yet and still, you don't want to have to go through any messy proceedings over a rushed marriage. Besides, so many celeb relationships are failing now a days, it makes me wonder who's next on the block. Here's hoping everything goes well with them.

I have been away for so so so so long! Took some time for finals and to spend time with the fam for the holidays, but I'm back! It's the last week of 2011 so I have to get back on track!

First news of the morning: John Legend is engaged!!! According to PEOPLE, John's rep reported to the mag that he and his model girlfriend Chrissy Teigen, were engaged in the holidays while on vacation in the Maldives. There weren't any more details, but it's sure an exciting time! Any engagement is wonderful, but an engagement over the holidays is extra special! Wishing John and Chrissy the best! Congrats!
