After Lifetime's failed Brittany Murphy and Aaliyah biopics, many have understandable doubts Angela Bassett-directed biopic of the late great Whitney Houston. However, the official trailer for Whitney may just change your mind!

Lifetime has released the clip for the biopic, which stars Yaya DaCosta. Yaya is giving it EVERYTHING SHE HAS in this movie! The trailer showcases Whitney and ex-husband Bobby Brown's volatile relationship, including their fights and drug use. I LOVE Yaya as an actress, and she isn't disappointing at all. I'm actually excited now and can almost breathe a sigh of relief.

Whitney premieres on Saturday, January 17, 2015 on Lifetime. Check out the trailer below!

What do you think of the trailer? Will it be a hit or huge miss like the Aaliyah biopic?

This weekend is Grammy weekend, which everyone is excited about. However, the event will forever be somewhat marred by the passing of Whitney Houston. February 11 will mark a year since we lost this great legend. In honor of her memory, legendary wax museum Madame Tussauds has honored Whitney with four wax figures.

This is the first time in 200 years that the museum has simultaneously created this many different figures of the same person! While made in London, each of the figures will be in different museums across the United States.

Check the figures out below!
The figures represent four very iconic moments in Whitney's career--her performance of the National Anthem at the 1991 Super Bowl to be featured in the Washington D.C. museum; her 1992 The Bodyguard which will be in Hollywood; Houston will display a young Whitney from her 1988 video for "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)"; and New York will exhibit the singer in her final years, from her 2009 photo shoot for her last album.

Crazy just how much these images look like her! Madame Tussauds always gets it PERFECT! RIP Whitney

Ok, so this is my first ever video review on the blog. I wanted to try something different, and if people like it, then I'll start reviewing more award and TV shows in video format. If not, I'm sticking to writing! Haha! I was definitely a little nervous, even though it was only me and my laptop (and a few people walking in and out at my job! I got bored!). Like I said, just wanted to try something new. Check out my review of the big night below!

I'll probably post some videos of the big performances later today too, when I actually have enough energy to deal with searching for them and embedding HTML codes!

Oh and by the way, look out for a song from me coming up soon "Marvin's Room Revamped." Yes, everybody and their mother has covered that song, and you can add me to the list haha! I'll tell y'all more later!

I woke up to some terrible news just now. Legendary songstress, Whitney Houston, has passed away at the age of 48. The singer was known for her outstanding music and movie career, as well as her sad drug use and her crazy marriage to singer Bobby Brown.

Whitney's publicist, Kristen Foster, said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unknown, according to ABC. Several other news sources such as CNN and TMZ has reported the singer's passing as well.

I honestly am in shock. One, because Whitney was only 48. That's my parents' age. I could only imagine. Two, she seemed to be on the road to getting herself together. We are truly losing all of our legends. Etta James, Don Cornelius, and now Whitney! It's terrible! Praying for Bobbi Kristina and the rest of Whitney's family. This is truly unbelievable!

RIP Whitney!

After a good seven years since her last album Just Whitney and a divorce from New Edition member Bobby Brown in 2006, Whitney Houston is back! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, one of the biggest singers of all-time is back! Above is the cover photo for her album that Whitney released. She looks good!! Go Whitney! According to Usmagazine.com, her comeback album I Look To You is set to be released September 1. Arista Records held a listening party for the CD on Tuesday, and there's more events ahead in NYC and LA next week.

Wow! Congratulations Whitney! Honestly, I believe that this is going to be a great CD. A lot can happen in seven years, and a lot definitely happened with her. I can only imagine the pain, the joy, the good and bad memories that have been put into the songs on the CD. Music is definitely supposed to be about your own life experiences, even though some artists are slacking in that department, just looking for a profit. (REFERENCE "Superstar" by Lauryn Hill off of the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill CD) But I digress. I'm glad to see Whitney back on her feet, and I'm looking forward to this CD! Again, congratulations Whitney! Good to see you back! Show some of these lame artists how it's done! I would say some names, but I will just leave that alone LOL If you know me, you know that certain female "R&B artist" I CAN'T STAND!!! LOL Dang, now that I mentioned Lauryn Hill, I'm fittin to listen to the whole Miseducation album!

PEACE.
