On Friday, March 20, I headed back to my alma mater, Loyola University Maryland, for the 17th annual BSA Fashion Show: Mystique! Having a slew of student volunteers, models, scene assistants and directors, as well as gaining support and clothing from a variety of retail stores and local brands, it literally takes months on end to get this show together (I know because I modeled as well *wink*). It's a HUGE event for Loyola, with students, staff, alumni, and other members of the Baltimore community and beyond coming out to support!
Directed by Loyola seniors Wah-De Dennis and Tiaira Walker, the show had amazing clothes and transitions for the audience to enjoy. Clothing was provided from Gap, The Strut Truck, Party Dress, Christopher Schafer, Brooks Brothers, Tin Lizzy, Double Dutch Boutique, Francesca's and Southern Proper. Hair and makeup was also provided by Roshé Cosmetics. There was even a special part of the show that integrated fashion and spoken word, featuring designs from a current Loyola senior I modeled with before, Abigail Lordson-Banini and her own clothing brand, House of Afi! I'm hoping to feature her and her designs on the blog soon!
Definitely one of the best shows that Loyola has put on! I really enjoyed myself, and got to catch up with a few staff members, alum and students, which is always nice. Check out pictures and video from the show below!

Hey hey yall! Happy Saturday...Sorry for the MIA status. This week was busy, and the times when I didn't have anything to do, I just passed out on my living room couch lol I wanted to share this video with yall. It's not celeb related but it is a music video dedicated to my college, Loyola University Maryland. Taken from "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, a kid at my school named Eloy hooked up with this artist from Bmore named Bridget Linsenmeyer to create "Loyola State of Mind" LOL It was a cool video. Some people complained about them not having minority students in it, which I wish they would have done to show that there are different ethnicities at Loyola. But I'm not surprised though. Loyola is a PWI (predominantly white institution). I've learned to deal. The makers of this video not having students of color isn't the focus for me. The song is. Which I really like! So shout out to this guy Eloy for making this! I think it's cool. I need to meet this guy LOL Anybody know him tell him Brittany said hey, and wants to do a little interview LOL GO GREYHOUNDS!
PEACE.
Hey people, sorry for the delay in posts. School plus clubs plus no really interesting celeb news being out equals no posts on Spotlight for a couple of days.
However, I'm here right now to do a little advertising. There is a new blog at my school (yeah Greyhounds) called Loyola Looks (click the link to visit the site). It's a student run blog that focuses on the latest and hottest fashion across the world, and features our celebs, people around Baltimore, and students at Loyola University Maryland. So if you're into fashion, this would definitely be a great site for you to check out!
I'm in love with it already and it just launched this morning! The writers obviously have worked hard on it and the hard works shows! I will definitely be featuring this site every once in a while on the blog. Have to show some school pride, you know! Plus it's just a really hot site. It's new. It's fresh. It's Loyola Looks. So make sure you take a visit to the site!
