First Lady Michelle Obama got bars?!?

As a part of both her Let Girls Learn initiative and the White House's #62MillionGirls Campaign, the First Lady has dropped a new track called "This Is For My Girls!" The song features top musical acts Missy Elliott, Zendaya, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monáe, Lea Michele, Chloe & Halle and Jada Grace to help promote the two programs.

According to Baller Alert, all of the artists involved have also waived all royalties and fees to participate in the song, with all proceeds going towards the Peace Corps' Let Girls Learn Fund

The Diane Warren-written track is available now on iTunesCheck out the track and let us know how you like it!

Hey hey all. Hope everything is well. Ok, so haven't blogged in almost 3 weeks :-( A lot going on in Australia, so don't be surprised if you don't hear from me every now and again. I'll still be tweeting though so at least you'll know I'm alive :-) So go follow! And now some news!

Beyoncé has officially joined First Lady Michelle Obama's effort to fight child obesity, according to SingersRoom. The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation is also a part of the campaign, titled "Let's Move!" The campaign encourages kids to get out and get moving to better their health.

“I am excited to be part of this effort that addresses a public health crisis,” Bey said in a statement. “First Lady Michelle Obama deserves credit for tackling this issue directly, and I applaud the NAB Education Foundation for trying to make a positive difference in the lives of our schoolchildren.”

Bey revamped and re-recorded one of her songs for middle school students across the States to perform a pre-choreographed dance exercise at 1:42 p.m. on May 3. She also has personally recorded an instructional video demonstrating the dance routine for students.

I think it's a great idea for the two to join together. I also applaud First Lady Michelle on starting this effort. Child obesity is a major issue across the United States, with kids being glued to TV and video games, instead of being active. Why not have two of the most powerful women in the world join up for a great cause? Definitely a good venture. Go Bey!

PEACE.

Urgh...sometimes the American people can really just get on my nerves. If you know me, you know that I am a supporter of Barack Obama and his family. So, of course, when I read the articles about this "controversy" with First Lady Michelle's shorts when she visited the Grand Canyon with her family this past weekend, I got a tad bit offended because people were just being rude, claiming that she had no class and all this and all that. I just came up on it again, and it made me mad all over again, so I decided to write on it.

To me, this "controversy" is plain stupid. It's hot as all get out in Arizona. What do people expect her to wear, a full sweatsuit just so she can cover every inch of her body?! People are becoming too obsessed with what she's wearing!!! Personally, I don't see anything wrong with the shorts. People are saying that the shorts she was wearing were close to freakin Daisy Dukes, and the length of those shorts were nowhere near any Daisy Dukes! Check it for yourself!!! For those that argue that she should've worn capris, you tend to get hot in those too. It's freakin hot in Arizona! People need to chill.

I know that the President and the First Lady and the rest of the First Family directly represent the American people, and they need to be held to a higher standard but dang! All of yall can wear shorts, but they can't?!! That's completely stupid! They are human beings too and I'm pretty sure they get hot in the summertime just like the rest of us. They sweat. They fan themselves. THEY GET HOT! Dang, people treat them (as with all celebrities) like people who are just supposed to wear this and look like that and do this and be the most perfect human beings that ever graced the earth!!! PEOPLE PLEASE!!!! Stop putting them on so high a pedestal that you fail to recognize that they are just regular people.

By the way, I think the shorts are cute on her! Michelle's got style yall! Shoot, she dresses a lot better than a lot of our past First Ladies. Sorry, just my opinion lol!

PEACE.
