Jennifer Hudson debuted her new video this week for her song "I Still Love You" off her third studio album JHUD that she released last September.

The video makes a statement on marriage equality and acceptance, a cause Jennifer has been in support of as she's working with Turn It Up For Change, a campaign sponsored by W Hotels that advocates for gay marriage.

Her powerful and award-winning vocals, along with the uptempo beat, may make one want to dance but it doesn't fail to send a message.

Check it out below and read J Hud's vision behind the video!

"I just think the concept was just powerful to go with such a positive song," Jennifer told MTV. "It's about love and everyone should have love and have the right to love who they want to love. So I thought it would be powerful to take a concept like trying to find your equality in love no matter who you love."

The singer adds adds that one can show support through social media with the hashtag #turnitupforchange.

The Baltimore Ravens are officially World Champs! After a rocky second half and the lights going out at the Superdome in New Orleans halfway through the game, the team clinched victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, 34-31!

After a beautiful cover of  "America The Beautiful" by Jennifer Hudson with the Sandy Hook Elementary Chorus, as well as the National Anthem sung by Alicia Keys, the game was underway! The Ravens led early in the first half of the game by 28-6, with many thinking that the game would be a landslide. However, after an electrifying performance by Beyoncé at the Halftime Show, the lights went out on one side of the Dome, halting play for half an hour (yeah my girl shut it DOWN!) .  After the lights were restored, San Francisco quickly made a comeback, making for one of the craziest second halves ever seen at the Super Bowl! However, Baltimore was able to hold them off, winning the game in the last minutes of the game!

The game marked the end of Ravens vet Ray Lewis' career, allowing him to go out on top with another Superbowl ring (he won his first at Super Bowl XXXV with a win over the New York Giants)! The victory gave Ravens head coach John Harbaugh a victory over his younger brother Jim in the first Super Bowl featuring brothers as opposing coaches.

I've fallen off of football, and I really only watched the game to see Bey at halftime and the ads (which were pretty lackluster if you ask me!). However, I went to school in Baltimore, so I wanted the Ravens to win for the city. I know that it was mad crazy last night! Congrats to the Ravens!

Oh, I know that you all have read about The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour by now!  It hits DC on July 29th and I'm DETERMINED to be there to finally see Beyoncé LIVE!!!! Just had to throw that in there.

Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo dorpped their video for their new song "Think Like A Man," which has been on repeat in my iTunes for about a couple of weeks now! The collaboration also features Rick Ross, and serves the theme song for the upcoming movie Think Like A Man. TLAM is based off of Steve Harvey's hit book, Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, which gave great relationship advice for women from a man's perspective. I encourage you all to get that book.

The movie definitely has a lot of star power, starring Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, Gabrielle Union, Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Hart, Meagan Good, and Terrence J! TLAM hit theaters April 20! Check out the trailer for the movie and J. Hud and Ne-Yo's video for "Think Like A Man" below!

J. Hud looks incredible as always! I see her trying to get her little dancing in! The video was great. Ne-Yo and Jennifer's voices are awesome together, and Rick Ross adds in that Maybach swag. Kevin Hart definitely adds in some comedy too! I'm excited to see this movie for sure!

(Via Concrete Loop) Jennifer Hudson has released the cover for her new book entitled I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down.

Read the brief summary of the book, which is a personal memoir on J-Hud's 80 pound transformation after the jump!

Soulful and sultry, Jennifer Hudson wowed the world with her powerful voice in American Idol’s third season, and then took Hollywood by storm with a star turn in Dreamgirls that won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. But before we knew her as an American Idol standout, Jennifer was singing in her church choir in the Southside of Chicago. This uplifting memoir tells the story of Jennifer’s meteoric rise from American Idol to Dreamgirls to her amazing weight loss on the megablockbuster Weight Watchers diet plan. With the Weight Watchers brand endorsing her, Jennifer gives her fans tips for embracing a healthy lifestyle in order to lose weight and reclaim their bodies. Full of stories from her American Idol days, her experience acting in Dreamgirls, and how her son inspired her to want to live healthfully, this book is a gift for her millions of fans and an inspiration for anyone struggling with weight issues.
The book is set for release on January 10, 2012. You can pre-order a copy on Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

She looks absolutely amazing! My friend and I have called her our "thinspiration" in our weight loss journeys. Glad to see that she's working hard to maintain her weight! I might just buy this book. Definitely seems like it will be a great read.

"No One Gonna Love You," is the second single to J. Hud's second album, I Remember Me. The official video was released earlier today. It was directed by Diana Martel, and features Hassan Johnson (Wee-Bay Brice from The Wire) as Jennifer's love interest. The video tells the story of the couple celebrating their anniversary, with Jennifer tired of her man constantly letting her down. She sings that she is willing to fight for love, but wants him to realize that she's a good woman, and the woman for him. It seems as if, when anniversary night finally comes, that he has failed her again, but he has a surprise for her! Check out the video below!

Love, love, LOVE Jennifer Hudson! So excited that she's back into music! She looked great in this video! Even did a tiny bit of dancing, too! Go J. Hud!!!

Morning all! Hope all is well on this Monday!

Sooooo I'm excited about this new song Jennifer Hudson just dropped today!!! :) From the tragedy of losing her mother, brother, and nephew in 2008, to becoming a mother herself and losing weight and becoming a spokesperson for Weight Watchers (My "Thinspiration" lol), Jennifer has went from extreme high to terrible low, and is now rising up again. She released her new song "Where You At?" for her faithful listeners, which depicts a story of a woman dealing with broken promises from her man..."Thought you were my hero, but as it turns out, you were a no show." A story many women know all too well I'm sure. It's definitely a great song! I'm too happy that Jennifer is back in terms of music. I've missed her amazing voice. Her new album I Remember Me is set to be released March 22!!! Listen to "Where You At" below!

PEACE.

Hello all. Here's the new post for the day. More Jennifer Hudson news!

Jennifer will have her Behind The Music episode premiering on VH1 in June. Those scheduled to comment on her life and music include her fiance David Otunga (Punk from I Love New York), Ne-Yo, Randy Jackson from American Idol, among others.

According to VH1, this hour long special will chronicle Jennifer's childhood in Chicago with her family, her short-lived stint on Idol, and of course, her rise to fame with the role of Effie in Dreamgirls. What I did not expect to be talked about in this episode was the tragic murder of her mother, brother, and nephew. However, Jennifer will be speaking about this openly (to an extent, I'm sure, so don't expect a tell-all) and talking about her return to the public eye after such a painful event. She will also discuss life as a mother, with footage being shown of her interaction with her son, David Jr.

I am a big Jennifer Hudson fan, so I definitely will be tuning in. The episode will premiere June 28 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1. So be sure to watch!

PEACE.

Good Monday morning all! Hope everyone has a productive and blessed week. Here's the news for the morning.

According to Access Hollywood, the production of the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela biopic starring Jennifer Hudson, will continue, despite of Ms. Madikizela-Mandela's threats of legal action. The ex-wife of former South African president Nelson Mandela wanted to approve the script before the filming of the biopic went underway. However, film director Darrell Roodt and producer Andre Pieterse decided against it, saying that the film's script had been thoroughly researched and there was no need from influence and interference from the main characters.

Production of the film will begin May 31 in South Africa, lasting for 10 weeks. The biopic will scan Ms. Madikizela-Mandela's life from childhood to the present, and will, of course, entail her marriage to Nelson Mandela and her fight to get him released from prison during South Africa's apartheid era.

My girl Jennifer Hudson will play her role, and Terrence Howard will star as Nelson. Jennifer admitted that she didn't know much about the Mandelas and South Africa before she accepted the role, but she has done her research and seems to be ready to take it on. "I’m still in the process of learning,” she said. “It’s not small shoes to fill, it’s a big deal. And it’s something that I’m extremely excited about.”

I'm excited too. I love movies that detail history, because they give audiences across the world to educate themselves about issues and stories that took place in the past. I honestly, am not all that familiar with this particular story myself, but I look forward to watching the movie and learning. Perhaps I will even pick up a book or two at the library and read up on Ms. Winnie. And my girl Jennifer is going to be in it too?! That's always a plus. I greatly admire her as an actress. Now I'm just gonna need her to come out with a new album, and I'll be straight!

PEACE.
