Wait, WHAT?! Tyra Banks is a mom, y'all!

The legendary model and businesswoman announced that she and her boyfriend, Swedish photographer Erik Asla, welcomed a baby boy via surrogate on Wednesday, January 27! She confirmed the news and the baby's name to PEOPLE.

“We are so excited for our new baby boy bundle of joy. The journey to now has not been an easy process, as I’ve shared before. But there was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father, Erik,” she said. “As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them everyday. My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms.”

The new mom announced York's birth on Instagram, sharing a pic of a little newborn hat!
“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here,” Tyra captioned. “He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”

Tyra admitted her struggles with conceiving, revealing that she had even undergone IVF procedures to try to have a baby. “When I turned 40, the one thing I was not happy about is that I did not have kids,” she told PEOPLE. “When you’re like, ‘OK, I’m just going to do it,’ then it’s not so easy as you get older.”

Talk about keeping them all on the need to know! This is a surprise! However, I'm very glad that Tyra has fulfilled her dream of being a mom, and wish her, Erik, and baby York much love and happiness!

Eve's back! Tyra Banks has confirmed she will reprise her role as Eve in the upcoming Life-Size sequel.

The model and TV personality confirmed to Variety that she will indeed be taking on the role. "There is no one else that can play Eve but me, thank you very much!" Tyra said to the media outlet. "I'm just joking with you, but yes, I am going to be Eve."

For those who don't remember, Life-Size was about a daughter of a widower who accidentally brings her doll to life while trying to cast a spell to resurrect her mom. However, there is no news on who will be Eve's new owner. "We have not talked about casting at all so I have no idea who is going to be the young person that will be the owner of Eve. We haven't gotten to that," Tyra stated. There aren't too many details about the sequel, but Tyra is set to serve as the film's executive producer and it will more than like premiere towards the end of 2016. "We're looking at it as a holiday movie so hopefully holiday 2016," she spilled. "I'm really excited about it."

I'm grown, and I'm still excited. In fact, I'm going to go relive my childhood a little bit with the clip below (skip to 7:35 for "Be A Star!" Or go to YouTube and watch the whole movie!).

Will you be checking out the Life-Size sequel?

Morning everyone! Another start of a busy week. Hopefully the weekend gets here fast. It hit me this past weekend that I didn't report (not like you didn't already know lol) on two of the biggest events to take place this weekend. I was on Fall Break, and when I break, I break! So I didn't get to congratulate Miss Alicia and Swizzy on their baby boy Egypt (why that name, I don't know) who was born Thursday. Alicia tweeted, "There is no word to properly describe LOVE, to describe BLISS, to express a FEELING like this!!! Thank U 4 your love, support and prayers!" Congrats guys! Hope to see pics soon!

Another big piece of news is that T.I. is, as we figured, headed back to jail for 11 months after his arrest for suspicion of drug possession. SMH!!!! I'm so mad at him. You just got out, you're on probation, and now you're leaving your fans again, and your fam and label. At least, we will have a new album this time around. Maybe. No telling when it will be released. The date keeps changing =/ Tip, please get your life together. No more of this prison foolishness!

But back to the topic of this post haha...According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tyra Banks is being sued for $3 million! Apparently, in 2009, Tyra had a guest sex addict, who was 15 years old at the time, appear on her show, without the mother's consent. The daughter had responded to an open call on the show, and managed to get on. Got an expense paid trip to NY and everything, and the episode was released before the mom even knew what was going on.

The mother, Beverly McClendon, claims in the suit that, "this show was undoubtedly watched by sexual deviants, perverts and pedophiles alike." The suit was filed in federal court last week. McClendon's complaint claims the teen's right to privacy was violated. She is also seeking an injunction against any future airings of the program, which still appears in repeats on the CW network.

My opinion? Ummm lady, first off, how did you not know that your daughter flew all the way to New York from ATL?!! People need to keep better tabs of their kids. I understand what she is saying though. The show was irresponsible. The daughter probably did have to sign some sort of release, with the parent's signature on it that she probably forged. However, she is a minor. If she was going to appear on the show, she should have been required to have a parent or guardian with her, which doesn't seem to be the case. So, honestly, I have to agree with the suit. The producers should have been more careful with an issue like this. In media, with any type of event or show, any pictures or video released of kids HAVE to have parental consent. That's a given. And apparently, the child was paid for her appearance, which brings labor laws into play. So it's this huge mess of a suit, but, to me, it's one that this woman may just win. Sorry Tyra.

PEACE.

Hey everybody! Hope yall had a great Christmas. I took a few days off, as you can see, you know to spend some time with the fam and just relax and all that. But I'm back and here's the next story.

Past supermodel and creator and judge of the hit show America's Next Top Model Tyra Banks will be ending her talk show after this season. "This will be the last season of The Tyra Show,” Tyra told PEOPLE. “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.” The show's last episode will premiere in spring 2010.

With the end of her show, Tyra will be focusing more on the launch of her film production company based in NY, Bankable Studios (that's catchy), working on different projects. Of course, Top Model will still be going, as well as Tyra's other ABC reality show True Beauty, which she produces along with Ashton Kutcher.

“There’s a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart,” Banks wrote on her Web site. “And I salute you my amazing family of viewers; without you there never would have been a Tyra Show. I really love you all.”

Gotta be honest, I never really kept up with the show on the regular, but the episodes I did watch were very interesting. It seemed like she was doing quite well, but hey, I don't blame her for wanting to branch out into other fields. She's Tyra. She can do that. And, of course, I wish her well. Judging from her past production projects, she will do great in producing films.

PEACE.
