The 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards are coming! The award show will air live on NBC at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium on March 29 from 8-11 pm ET! According to E! Online, it will also be broadcast simultaneously on iHeartMedia stations nationwide and across the iHeartRadio digital music platform.

The list of nominees have officially been released, and, at no surprise (at least to me), Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith lead the pack with five nominations each! Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift both received four nominations themselves. Can't say I'm in total agreement with the list, but there's a lot of deserving artists!

Fans will get to be involved in the selection of the winners in the Best Fan Army and Best Lyrics categories, as well as for the first-ever Renegade Award, sponsored by Jeep. Voting begins March 2 and ends March 20.

Who do you hope will win?

Image via Brian Steffy/Getty Images
Taylor Swift was open and candid in her interview for the April issue of Vanity Fair, discussing her music, the media’s opinion of her, and her infamous breakups with boy pop stars.

It’s no secret that many believe that Taylor is a clingy, boy-crazy young girl that only writes love songs, a rumor that Taylor strongly refutes. “Everybody in these tabloidy gossipy blogs, they think they have you pegged, like 'Taylor's boy-crazy'...For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her...that's taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist,” she said. "I'm sick of the tabloids saying I obsess over guys. Why would you obsess over guys? They don't like it."
According to the mag, Taylor did give a friend permission to spill the beans about her past relationship with One Direction’s Harry Styles. The friend said that the singer went after Taylor for a year, eventually wearing her down and getting close with her…and then was photographed making out with another girl. (Harry’s rep told the mag this was "undeniably false," but who knows what the real deal is). Taylor’s friend continued saying that the couple got back together, though Taylor didn’t fully trust him. However, they broke up again before the Grammys, where Taylor seemed to be making fun of Harry’s English accent when she opened the show with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." You can read more of the interview in the new issue of Vanity Fair (which Taylor looks great in!).

Regardless of what people say, I like Taylor more and more as time goes on. I’ve had “I Knew You Were Trouble” on repeat for the past few days now. Her songs are catchy and fun, perfect for the teen girl demographic that her brand is made for (I'm 22, and I still like her!). She’s not for everybody, but she’s perfect for many! I give her props because that girl can sell some albums!

Ok, so I've been MIA from here for a minute. Now I reappear with clips from the 52nd Grammy Awards that were held Sunday night. Ok, now I didn't watch the full show because I was working on a huge school project, but through Twitter and Facebook (gotta love social networking lol), I read about some of the highlights of the night and watched the clips. So I'm gonna post what I thought was hot and what was definitely not. Check the vids after the jump.

BEYONCE THANKS JAY-Z IN ACCEPTANCE SPEECH FOR FEMALE POP VOCAL PERFORMANCE
Ok so this was huge, because B has never publicly mentioned Jay-Z as her husband, least of all in an acceptance speech. I mean, we all know that they're married, but for Beyoncé to publicly thank him is awesome. They are definitely a power couple!

MAXWELL PERFORMANCE OF "PRETTY WINGS"
Need I say more. It's Maxwell! He killed it!

TAYLOR SWIFT WINS ALBUM OF THE YEAR?!!! WTH?!!!!!
Yooooo when I read this on a friend's Twitter, I honestly screamed "What the hell?!" Album of the Year?! I give the girl country, because she is a popular country artist. But Album of the Year?! No. I mean, seriously, I know Beyoncé won 6 awards last night (breaking the female record for most Grammys won btw), but my goodness, you know she deserved it. Or Lady Gaga. Not a big fan, but I'm sure her album was better than Taylor's. I'm sorry to all you Taylor Swift fans, but I honestly believe that the only reason Taylor got that award was because of the Kanye incident at the VMAs. And it's a shame. Later on Taylor dropped a Grammy though, and it shattered into a million pieces. If it was this one, good. LMAO! Sorry Taylor, but that award was just not for you. Still shaking my head at this nonsense....

LASTLY...
MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE FEATURING LIONEL RICHIE, CELINE DION, USHER, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, JENNIFER HUDSON, SMOKEY ROBINSON, AND MJ'S CHILDREN, PRINCE MICHAEL AND PARIS JACKSON
It was an amazing sight to see. All of these artists coming together to sing "Earth Song." Michael loved the environment, and it showed through this song. And it was a
3D performance! People in the audience could watch the corresponding short movie that was going to be shown at his tour in London. It was good to see MJ's kids at the end accepting a Lifetime Achievement award for their father (which I felt came a little too late personally but I digress) I thought they seemed a little out of place there, and definitely nervous, but it was still nice to see them.

So there are my favorite moments from a show that I didn't watch in full LOL. But hey, this is all I needed.

PEACE.

~Brittany Shawnté
