Bow Wow is the latest rapper to cut contractual ties with Cash Money Records. Shad recently announced the split via his Facebook account. The rapper have been signed to the storied Southern rap imprint since 2009 but has yet to drop an album even though he has been frequently plugging his upcoming LP Underrated for years.

According to Bow, the split was amicable. Clearly lack of support from the label to put out music is a major factor in Bow wanting to leave. This is the same gripe that has been brought up by CMR employees Lil Twist, Tyga and cash cow Lil Wayne in the recent past. This is the third Cash Money artist to jump ship in less than a year. Last July, Busta Rhymes left the label after spending nearly three unproductive years with Baby and Slim. In October, British R&B singer Jay Sean parted ways with CMR after six years with the New Orleans powerhouse, dropping three albums while with the label.

Seems like Bow Wow's new gig at 106 & Park came just in time! According to TMZ, he has been ordered to pay child support for his 1-year-old daughter Shai. However, Bow Wow apparently wasn't working with much money at Cash Money to begin with!

Bow Wow and baby mama Joie Chavis were in court Monday, with the main fight being over exactly how much Bow Wow is worth and how much he has to pay! Finally, Bow Wow agreed to shell out $3,000 a month in support for baby Shai. However, he told the judge that he makes $4,000 a month working as an employee at Cash Money Records. Yes, that's allegedly all. He also testified he leases a Jeep and has a grand total of $1,500 in his checking account.

However, since Bow Wow has officially been named one of four new co-hosts for BET's 106 & Park (which he failed to mention), the judge ordered Bow Wow to pay $11,500 in back child support! And Bow will have to come face to face with a serious payment plan when he comes back to court in December.

When I first heard that Bow Wow was hosting 106 & Park, I was honestly like "Whaaaa??" But now I see. Cash Money is reportedly only paying you $4000 a month, and that's BEFORE taxes?! (Well, I personally would like to get paid that, but for a rapper signed to one of the biggest labels out right now, that's not much!). And with $3000 automatically going to your baby's mother, that's not much left to work with! I hope BET is paying him good money over there, because he's going to need it. On the other side, Baby and Lil Wayne, stop playing with that boy's money!

Lil Wayne, Drake, now Bow Wow?!! Well it's been confirmed by Bow Wow himself on (wouldn't you know it) Twitter. Dang! Must everybody use Twitter to detail their business decisions?! Ugh...

But it's official. Bow Wow, who "retired" earlier this year from the rap game (that's another thing: how you gonna retire from anything at 22? LOL that's just crazy to me!), has signed to Cash Money Records, home to Lil Wayne and Drake.

"It's official, I'm a Cash Money Millionaire," Bow Wow told his followers on Twitter.

In June, R&B singer Omarion signed to Cash Money as well. Hmmm...interesting. I was in love with Omarion when I was younger and I loved Bow Wow too. But they seemed to have fallen off a tad...well let's keep it real. They've fallen off a lot. I'm hoping that Cash Money will put them back on the map. It's a little out of reach, but I'm hoping. Good luck guys! Wayne, please do something with them....please.

PEACE.
