British singer/songwriter Mi'das has officially released his debut album, All Inside Your Head!

The album is a collection of songs which represents the last 10 years of his own life. As for the meaning behind the name of the project, Mi’das stated, "I called it 'All Inside Your Head as I've come to notice that most things in this life, good or bad, come down to something you can change yourself in your own mind without blaming anyone or looking for other reasons."

Mi'das brings a lot of soul and emotion to each track, and I definitely think you guys will enjoy it!

Got some new music for you all today (be sure to check the blog Tuesdays and Thursdays for new tracks)! Back in June, we featured Mi'das, a great singer/songwriter based in London. Well, the artist is back with a new single "Feels Like Only Yesterday!"

From his upcoming debut album All Inside Your Head, the song features Mi'das' soulful vocals and draws inspiration from Stevie Wonder himself. As you listen, it's like being taken back to the chill vibes of the 70s, which is perfect as the song speaks on the "worry-free innocence of youth," according to a press release sent out by Project Light Agency. The song itself is smooth and easy, perfect for a drive or a day outside. Personally, I'm a very visual person, so I kept picturing myself outside walking and relaxing even as I sit at my desk typing this! It's also a great song for reflecting on the easier days of childhood.

I love the track, and I love that Mi'das uses his gift of music to express real emotions and feelings, creating tracks that have a classic, timeless feel. "My viewpoint is that popular music doesn't have to be throwaway," Mi'das said of the track. "We as musicians, songwriters and earthlings have the opportunity to say something in that 3-4 minute window. If we convey it honestly and concisely it will hopefully then carry to the listener and affect them." Exactly!

Today, we have London-based singer/songwriter Mi'das! The artist got his start in music at the age of 12, after learning a bit from his brother who played piano and his uncle who played guitar. "I also began to sing at school assemblies when I was quite young and that gave me the performing bug," Mi'das said. He eventually went off to a music college and realized there that he wanted to pursue his own music full time. "The people and music I was exposed to at college were big first inspirations," the singer stated. "From there, it's never stopped, and I'm constantly gaining new tastes and perspectives on things."

Inspired by greats like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles as well as Fiest and Everything Everything, Mi'das' own music brings soul and emotion that pulls listeners in. The singer just released his Stronger EP, which was the final part of his three-part Story So Far series (which also included EPs Glow and Grow). "I was in the process of wanting to my own album last year and couldn't fully decide on a direction at that point," Mi'das admitted. "That led me to thinking, 'Hang on a minute. I'll release the stuff in three EPs and see what people react to and what they like about what I do.'" In terms of Stronger, the singer calls it "the fullest soundest of the three," wanting to convey to listeners "some of the complexities in life we all come across at one point or another." Mi'das' favorite track on the project is "Too Little Too Late"(the music video for the song was featured on The Spotlight earlier in the week!). The singer feels captures what he's personally about as an artist. "I like music to be honest and soulful from a place, and also to say something," Mi'das stated. Check out Stronger below!

Currently, Mi'das has been working on new music and also working and writing with new artists. He has also been writing a bit with UK blues/soul artist Jo Harman, having actually produced and co-wrote most of her first album!

In terms of what makes him stands him out from other artists, Mi'das is focused on creating timeless music. "I'm interested in music being a craft. I'm not interested in what I call 'Fashion' music," the artist said. "My music is a unique, eclectic view on soulful music that's also influenced by folk elements." In the future, Mi'das wants to build up a loyal fan base and play to audiences in the UK and Europe. Hopefully this great talent gets across the pond to us over in the States and makes an impact here as well!

Singer-songwriter Mi'das (who will be featured on the site later on in the weekhas released the visual for his single "Too Little Too Late!" The song is the second single on Mi'das' Stronger EP.

According to Eurofied, Mi'das shared his feelings about the song and its meaning. "This song is about being afraid of getting old and having regrets about how you lived your life, about making too many compromises and not following your dreams," the singer said. "It’s one of my favorite songs because it mixes my soul and gospel influences with my love of songwriters and results in the song having a timeless feeling.”

I love how simple the video is. It's just Mi'das and his team singing and performing in the studio and on stage. Mi'das sings with such passion, and the song definitely draws you in!
