Tamar Braxton has released her fourth studio album, Calling All Lovers, today October 2! Though her 2013 release, Love &War, was definitely a good record, the singer came back stronger than ever with this one! Tamar delivered stronger vocals and material, showing us a more vulnerable side as she takes us through the stages of love.

Check out my full review below!

Tamar's vocal ability can never be denied, but what makes this album stand out from other albums released this year (as well as her own), is the fact that is pure, grown and sexy, unadulterated R&B. That includes all the good and bad emotions in between. Though Love & War was a good record, Calling All Lovers has way more passion and vulnerability with tracks like "Simple Things," "I Love You," and "Raise The Bar." While her last album seemed to have a more..."sophisti-ratchet" sound (yes, that's my best word for it), with a mix of modern R&B and dance tracks and I actually did like it, I found myself personally wanting more from her in terms of material. Well, Tamar gave it to us this round!

Though she sings of the good moments of love, Tamar also opens up about the bad moments with ballads like "If I Don't Have You," "Circles" and "Broken Record." She still shows us that fun persona we've come to love on the upbeat, funky "Must Be Good To You," as well as "Catfish," a fun side that we don't ever want to see Tamar get rid of. After all, it's her personality from her shows Braxton Family Values and Tamar &Vince that drew many of us into her work in the first place. The singer also has no problem showing off her sexy side with the mid-tempo track "Makin' Love," where she admits that she wants her man to put in work in the bedroom. "I want you in the worst way," she sings. "I love a man who knows how to work me...oh, oh, when we be makin' love."

The ballad "King," is probably the strongest song on the album.  I first heard the track when Tamar sang it on The Real and was literally moved to tears. And I mean, full-on, boo hoo crying! "Fear not...and when the world starts trembling, just say my name. Fear not...'cause I'll be with you all the way. Don't you worry, it's almost over," the singer croons. The emotions on that song are at an all-time high, as are Tamar's vocals. Seriously, this song should be a single.

The album title, Calling All Lovers, truly is so fitting for this album as Tamar sings songs literally for lovers at all stages. From the lovey dovey times, to the sexy and lustful sides, to the painful times, Tamar goes through it all on this project. Though I still need her to work on her enunciation, the talent and growth between albums is undeniable. It was so great to hear her open up more on this record as well. This is definitely a record for the lovers, for those who want real R&B back in rotation!

"If I don't have you...Rocks me to the core. I can't love no more."

Tamar Braxton has released her new single, "If I Don't Have You!" She gave a little bit of a teaser of the song for her Tamartian friends last week, but now it's available for purchase on iTunes!

On the song, Tamar sings of basically not being able to love or not even function well without her significant other! We've all felt that way, so the song is sure to hit home for a lot of listeners. Per usual, Tamar's vocals are on point, especially as she effortlessly hit those high notes!

I'm going to personally go listen on repeat and be in my feelings...yall listen to the track below!

What do you think of Tamar's new single?

Just a few short weeks after the release of her newest single "Let Me Know," featuring Future, Tamar Braxton has released the official visual for the track!

The sultry video features Tamar in a variety of fly outfits, singing directly to her man! She looks positively stunning in every scene. I love the song, and the video is a classy and simple one. I can't wait to hear more music from her!

Check out the video below, and Let Me Know what you think!
I had always heard about For Sisters Only (every major city seems to have their own), but never actually went to . However, this year, since the expo fell on my birthday weekend (I turned 24 on October 1!) and I was determined to do something fun, I decided to go with my sister and friends. And I am too glad I went!

Hosted by WPGC 95.5 and held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, For Sisters Only had a lot of great vendors selling jewelry, doing hair and makeup, and so much more, all for the ladies! Y'all know me, though! I was here primarily for the performances! I marched my sister and friends right to the front to the main stage, and basically parked it there the entire day. It was worth it, because I had a GREAT seat to all the action!

Throughout the day, the audience got to hear from various panelists for two subjects: She Means Business" and "Why I Stayed." The former discussed strong business principles for women, and the latter went into how to deal with toxic relationships (romantic, friendly, and family). Panelists included Lil Mo, Torrei Hart, Micheline Bowman, Debbi Morgan, Drea Kelly, Dr. Sherry, and more (You can check out great photos here and well as on my Instagram)! We saw the legendary Debbi Morgan perform an except from her latest one-woman show, Monkey Off My Back, and even had a sexy fitness dance showcase by Drea! All in all, a really great time! I'll be there again next year...hopefully it's close

Tamar Braxton just dropped a big surprise for her Tamartian friends right in the middle on an episode of Tamar and Vince: her official video for "Hot Sugar!" Her third single from Love and War, "Hot Sugar" is sexy and fun, and the video gives us that as well!
The video is creative, showcasing Tamar's love on Instagram as she invites fans to "choose the Tamar you want to share!" Tamar dances a little with her little eye candy in the background too! It's so much fun and I love it! She looks absolutely gorgeous....really killed this one!

A special shout out goes out to Miss Tamar Braxton as she announced today on Good Morning America that she is pregnant! This will be the first child for her and her husband Vincent Herbert.

Later, the mommy-to-be took to Instagram to share a pic of her baby bump. "I have a love on top! I am pregnant!" Tamar (referencing Beyonce's "Love on Top" performance at the VMAs in 2011) told ABC's Lara Spencer. "I feel great and greedy at the same time. This is the most I've eaten ever." She also mentioned that she doesn't have that far to go so the baby might be here sooner than we think!

Fans of Braxton Family Values as well as Tamar and Vince have been wondering when Tamar would finally have a baby! I'm so excited for her!!! Had to refrain from screaming at work as I type all this haha! Congrats to Tamar and Vince and their families!

Be sure to check out the season premiere of Braxton Family Values March 14 at 9 pm ET on WeTV!
