Finally, the Final Challenge for Battle of the Seasons! Picking up from last week, after weeks of challenges, the final teams (San Diego, Brooklyn, and the two-member team of Las Vegas) start the final by jumping out of a plane! It's definitely adrenaline-pumping! All of the teams have to run to a checkpoint, and already Devyn and Sam are struggling to run. Of course, everybody's yelling at their slowest members, because it's not a great way to start for any of them.

The first checkpoint is to align numbers on rocks in a grid so that, when added in every direction, you will always get the number 15. The time limit is 20 minutes. San Diego and Vegas struggle to Brooklyn is last to get into the puzzle, but the puzzle puts them ahead! They run to a helicopter where they race on in first place! San Diego finally got it, placing in second. Las Vegas' time runs out, putting them into third.

The second checkpoint is Rung Out, where you have to toss a ring on a hook. If you miss you have to take a shot of hot, nasty camel's milk. It's harder than it looks! Sarah finally gets it for Team Brooklyn, and they run off. Zach gets it for San Diego, which leaves Vegas to figure it out for themselves. Devyn struggles to run which slows their team down. You're really only as strong as your weakest player, and it's clear that Devyn is messing up Brooklyn's pace. Trishelle and Dustin finally get past Rung Out, but are so far behind

The next checkpoint, Get Tired, requires the teams to build a structure with pipes and ropes to move eight tires (four for the two members of Vegas). Brooklyn takes off with their tires by rolling them on the ground, but San Diego put them on their backs which puts the team right on Brooklyn's heels! San Diego eventually passes them. Trishelle, of course, struggles
Come to find out, the smartest team of the bunch, Brooklyn, was carrying an extra tire! Vegas eventually passes them, putting them in last place. The teams all eventually get to their helicopters where they are flown to the next part of the challenge. It's more running for them to the next check point, but this time it's across sand dunes!

After a long day in the desert, the teams are finished for the night, and get a chance to rest. Only catch is that one person gets to sleep at a time, while the other members stand inside a box holding a leash for a camel. You get a one minute penalty if you step outside the box. While playing tic tac toe in the sand, Devyn's foot accidentally goes over the line, but everybody's so cold, tired, and delirious, they don't even care!

The next morning, TJ rolls through on a four-wheeler to introduce the next day. San Diego gets an 11-minute head start, Vegas gets a 6-minute head start, and Brooklyn gets left in the dust. However, Sam is so slow, there's a chance that the other teams can catch up. The next checkpoint, Hallucination Nation, requires the teams to find numerical values from letters in a list of words to unlock a safe. San Diego has a decent lead, but Vegas is right behind them. Brooklyn is still in third.

In the next point, Sand Shift, the teams use sieves to put sand into their sieves. Sand is blowing everywhere, which makes it hard. Devyn is literally dead in this challenge, so Brooklyn might as well be out. Suddenly, Trishelle and Dustin get a fire under them to race San Diego to the top of a dune. Frank ends up pushing Sam causing her to fall, which pisses her off. However, the thought of $250,000 gets her back on track. San Diego ends up getting to the pole first, which makes me mad a little bit, because they irritated me the whole season, but they killed it, so I can't hate. Trishelle and Dustin wins second place, getting $50,000 for Team Vegas. Brooklyn comes in third, winning $40,000 for their team. Though I wanted and pegged them to win, it's still great that they finished together. Overall, it was a crazy Challenge this season. Just hope that MTV gets a few more veterans for next season!

I apologize for the serious delay in these recaps! A lot of things going on last week, but here is the recap for last week's episode of Battle of the Seasons (Jersey Shore one will be up soon too).

Picking up from last episode, the remaining four teams (Vegas, Cancun, San Diego and Brooklyn) leaves Turkey behind and heads to Namibia, Africa, to fight to keep their spot in the finale! Two people are for sure going home, so the teams are definitely nervous! The house in Africa is SICK! Later, they all get a clue from TJ saying: "Tomorrow's your last shot to make it into the final! Good luck!" The challenge is definitely important for Brooklyn to win because they know they will be thrown into the Arena if they don't, since Cancun and San Diego are in alliance with each other).

The next day, the teams play "Sling Shot." The game is complete with a four-wheeler, a ramp, and of course, water. The teams all have to assign a driver and a jumper (teams of four will assign two to go twice). The driver will take off with the jumper in tow, who will then be launched off of the ramp into the water, and swim as fast as they can to the dock to ring a bell. Then the jumper will swim back in to swim to shore and cross the finish line. With the teams of four, their times will be averaged.

Vegas surprisingly kills it first, setting the tone for the other competitors. Dustin is extremely winded and sick from swimming, so it's probably going to be harder than anyone thought! It's definitely not the easiest challenge. San Diego's four-wheeler stalls, which makes it a farther swim for Frank, unfortunately. The team that lost with a trip right into the Arena is Cancun, with San Diego falling not too far in front of them. The Power Team going into the finals is Las Vegas, which nobody expected! They win their first challenge, and the most important one to win at that!

The high from Trishelle and Dustin's win is short-lived, however, when TJ makes them pick the second team to head in right there on the spot! No surprise, they pick San Diego to go against Cancun, and pick them to play Strategy. With that decision, Brooklyn also makes it into the finals! It's a great way to break up the Arena. It's clear that Frank and Ashley need to prove themselves in the Arena, so they will most likely be going in. Back at the house, Sam makes fun of Frank's major fail at the Challenge, which, of course, pisses him off.

Surprisingly, Sarah gives Jonna advice for the Arena, hoping that Cancun will send two members of San Diego home so that Brooklyn will be the only team left with four people. Jonna and Derek face Ashley and Frank in "Knot So Fast" for the final Arena. Instead of there being domes, the challenge uses pyramids. First, the teams will tangle their pyramid with rope as best as they can, and then switch pyramids to solve the other team's. It sucks for Zach to watch because he's a part of Team San Diego, but still has feelings for Jonna and wants her to do well too. Vegas and Brooklyn of course are yelling advice at Cancun so they can send home Frank and Ashley. However, San Diego pull it out, sending Jonna and Derek home. TJ congratulates the remaining teams of gaining their spots in the finals.

Back at the house, the teams get new gear for the finals the next day, showing that this challenge is going to be a tough one! Trishelle and Chet talk about their team's weaknesses, and contemplate what will happen in the Challenge. Everyone's nervous, because there's no telling what will happen! The next day, the teams all head out to the desert. There's four planes and three helicopters up ahead, which puts everyone into suspense about what they're getting into! TJ introduces the challengetelling them them that they will be jumping out of those planes from 10,000 feet to start things off, exciting some team members and terrifying others! They will all have to dig deep to make it to the finish line to win any money!

Battle of the Seasons is starting to get REALLY crazy! Picking up from last week, Dustin has planned to quit after Nany and Alton were eliminated at the Arena. The next morning, Chet tries to talk him out of it, and when Dustin thinks things through, he decides to stay to fight for Team Vegas. Meanwhile, Brooklyn plans to gun for Cancun and know that they need to win the next Challenge in order to stay out of the Arena.

The next day's Challenge is called "Force Field." Two team members will share a huge inner tube in girls' and boys' heats (unless you're only a team of two, then you're by yourself!) The object of the game is to push people off the platform into the water. There is a point system: The 1st team out will receive no points. The 2nd team will get 20 points. 3rd will get 40, 4th will get 60, and the last team standing will get 80 points. If you fall down three times, you'll be disqualified.

In the girls' heat, Marie works with Brooklyn to get Vegas, Cancun and San Diego out! Sarah and Devyn end up winning for Team Brooklyn! In the boys' heat, Chet and JD falls three times disqualifying them from the game, which basically screws up the girls' win for Brooklyn moments before. Zach and Frank are the last team standing, automatically winning the Power Team for San Diego. Vegas heads straight to the Arena after coming in last place with points.

Back at the house, San Diego deliberates who they want to send in to face Vegas. It's abundantly clear that overall, this team doesn't think with their head at all. Sam and Zach want to send in St. Thomas, purely based off the fight that happened last week with Marie accidentally pushing Sam down. Because Frank is friends with Marie, he suggests picking the team that could take Vegas out, which could be Brooklyn. San Diego goes out to talk to Brooklyn and St. Thomas. Marie gets irritated really quick because she realizes that they're all just pawns in San Diego's minds right now.

At deliberation, San Diego chooses St. Thomas to go in against Vegas. They also choose Mental which wasn't the game that St. Thomas wanted to do. It's all stupid because if San Diego was thinking STRATEGICALLY, they would have put Brooklyn up and possibly break up their team. That would leave San Diego as being the only team left with four people, which would be a HUGE advantage to them. But that's okay! Leave my favorite team to make it to the final!

That night, the house go out to party, and Marie is over emotional on the bus. It's a little irritating, because this IS a game, and, at the end of the day, everyone is going to do what they think is best for their team and themselves. We can be friends, but I'm ultimately here for my team and to make some money. Marie GOES OFF on Frank and says that she doesn't want to be friends with him. It's just an extremely sour night. Marie continues to go off on the bus with Robb having to restrain her. Back at the house, Marie gets in Sam's face. She turns quickly to JD which gets Robb into it again. They both were just over emotional about the entire thing. It's a competition people!

That night, Vegas and St. Thomas go head to head in "Water Torture." Though Robb and Marie give it their all, ultimately, Dustin and Trishelle win the game! Back at the house, they get a clue from TJ that says that they have a huge challenge ahead of them! "The first part will be just getting there. Pack your bags you're going to Namibia!" Get your passports! The Challenge is headed to AFRICA!

I've missed watching Battle of the Seasons these past two weeks (read up on the last episode here)! To start this week's episode, San Diego decides to work out together and give some positive and negative things about each other, all to try to strengthen their bond. Later, T.J. sends a clue to the house for the next day saying, "Don't abandon your teammates if you want to win this challenge."

The next day, the teams play "Abandon Ship." Each team has a line connected to an anchor with buoys at different heights underneath the water. One person jumps off the boat at a time to get a buoy, with everyone having to grab one of his own. When the last buoy is recovered, a lifeboat will appear. The team will then have to row that lifeboat to the finish line on the shore. The team with the fastest time is Power Team and the slowest will head to the Arena.

While Brooklyn and San Diego and even Cancun with only two team members kill it, St. Thomas struggles! Trishelle messes it for Team Vegas as well. She panics and Alton has to go get her buoy, adding a five minute penalty to their time. Of course, they give her mad crap about it, since they end up being one of the last teams to make it to shore. San Diego surprisingly kills the challenge and they all communicate well, winning Power Team! St. Thomas ends up being the last place team, earning themselves a spot in the Arena.

Back at the house, Dustin and Trishelle still go at it about the loss. Honestly, Trishelle should've stepped it up. She didn't even have the farther to go to get her buoy in the first place! Dustin tells her that if they are thrown in (which in all likelihood, they will be) she will be going into the Arena regardless for costing them the win, which she doesn't react well to. At deliberation later, San Diego decides to send in Vegas "based on performance," but we ALL know San Diego doesn't like them. They pick both Vegas and St. Thomas to play an Endurance game in the Arena.

That night, people drink and enjoy themselves. However, Nany randomly goes off on Derek about not being a good friend to her, and Frank gets into it, yelling at Nany in her face. Marie decides to get in it to break up the fight. Robb pushes Derek away from Marie and Derek pushes him to the ground, which causes Marie to push Derek and Sam gets knocked down in the process! This whole fight was a MESS! Everybody was drunk and needed to go to bed, if you ask me! Later, Frank, Nany and Trishelle go to the cabana to try to talk things out which lasts for a total of 20 seconds! Frank ends up going off on her and then starts talking about her sister being a heroin addict, and gets Dustin into it when he talks about his gay porn video. As Frank continues to yell from the balcony at the both of them, Dustin and Nany make fun of him. Frank jumps in Dustin's face, and Dustin pushes his face. Zach calms him down and reminds him about the final. Alton is annoyed with the craziness of this entire season, and I don't blame them. MTV advertised this as the biggest fight in Challenge history. I don't know about all of that, but I definitely know it was the dumbest fight!

At the Arena, Vegas and St. Thomas go head to head in "Balls Out."  Nany decides to step up to compete with Alton, when Trishelle refuses to go. Dustin yells at Trishelle because she definitely copped out. The game is best two out of three. With Robb's long arms, the first round goes to St. Thomas easily, while he second round goes to Vegas by one. It all came down to the final round which was extremely close, but it ended up going to St. Thomas, sending Nany and Alton home! It will leave Dustin to deal with Trishelle unfortunately. Dustin, of course, throws shade at her for not going in the Arena in the first place! Back at the house, Dustin decides that he is going home too, refusing to work with her. God only knows how this is going to end! Guess we'll see next week!

Another grueling episode of Battle of the Seasons! Picking up from last week, there are five teams left in the game (Brooklyn, Las Vegas, Cancun, San Diego, and St. Thomas barely)! The game is dwindling down, so it's more important than ever for these teams to fight hard to solidify their spot in the finals!

The teams go out to let loose. However, there is still a lot of tension between Frank and Zach. Of course, everybody has their opinion on the drama among Team San Diego. Later, Jonna reveals that she lost everything due to a crazy ex who got rid of all of her stuff. She is trying to get her life together and hopes that The Challenge will give her some start over funds.

At the next day's challenge, the set up is a 70s game show called "The Hunger Games." TJ even dresses up like an old school host (slick back hair and all!). It turns out to be an eating contest. The teams will bet how much they can eat in a designated time. The team that bets the highest will have to try to eat that amount. If you win, you will get to put a team into the losers' round. If you bet the most, and don't eat it or throw up, you will go straight to the losers' round. The first two teams are the losers.

For a game that typically has the most disgusting things for these people to eat, it's actually pretty decent food at first, with the first two items being baklava and grape leaves. When Cancun misses their goal of baklava by 2, they automatically get put into the losers' round! Brooklyn takes on the grape leaves, betting 35, but ending up eating 47! They choose San Diego obviously to go into the losers' round with Cancun. The next food is chilies. St. Thomas bets 18 of those, though it's only 2 of them. However, Marie loves peppers so she got 25! It comes down to St. Thomas and Brooklyn for the Power Team, eating as much COW LIVER as they can in two minutes. St. Thomas is disqualified for throwing up, which gives Brooklyn the coveted title of Power Team AGAIN! The losers' round with Cancun and San Diego has them all eating COW INTESTINES AND TESTICLES in two minutes. The teams struggle to hold it down, and who can blame them?! It was very close, but San Diego loses, heading straight into the Arena!

Back at the house, San Diego tries to work through their problems. Zach doesn't think he should go in, but doesn't trust Frank to stick to his word to go in. Brooklyn discusses their options of who will face San Diego. Later, at deliberations, Brooklyn picks Cancun because they haven't gone into the Arena yet (though it's still strategic because San Diego and Cancun are in an alliance together).

Since the only game left is Physical, CJ plans to go in but wants Jonna to go in with him. Jonna is the stronger between her and Jasmine. However, she doesn't want to go into the Arena because she doesn't want to risk getting sent home. She really needs the money, which is understandable, but everybody has to face the Arena sooner or later. She ends up walking out of the room, leaving her team upset.

At the Arena, San Diego chooses Sam and Zach, while Cancun offers CJ and Jasmine. The teams play "Hall Brawl," which has the girls and guys going against each other. There is a narrow hallway to run through each other to get to a bell on the opposite side. Unfortunately for Jasmine's little behind, she got the complete air smashed out of her by Sam! In the boys' heat, even though CJ is little, he outsmarts and outruns Zach, beating him in the first heat. Since the game is tied, it's decided by a coin toss that the guys will go again. CJ wins the first round, but Zach kills it to win the last two! Unfortunately, that leaves Derek and Jonna to fight for Cancun! The win definitely boosts team morale with San Diego. Let's see if they get it together!

Battle of the Seasons will return in two weeks after Thanksgiving!

Things are definitely heating up on The Challenge! Picking up from the last episode (due to Halloween, the Challenge was cancelled for last week), Team Brooklyn hosts an Insane Games House Edition to ease tension around the house and have fun, something this Challenge has been seriously missing! Afterwards, they all get a clue from TJ: "Tomorrow's challenge is not going to be easy but it will be memorable," showing that they will probably be playing a memory game. Meanwhile CJ is connecting to Ashley from San Diego, though it's still up in the air if she likes him back.

Next day at the Challenge, the teams gear up to play "Logged Out." The goal is pretty simple: solve a puzzle. The means? Not so simple. The teams will go through three check points. The first is the answer key to memorize a complicated puzzle. The second checkpoint is to carry logs the carry the puzzle pieces up a hill, with the teams all having to stick together. At the third checkpoint, you have to solve the puzzle.

Once the game starts, it's seriously a test of endurance for everyone. The logs are extremely heavy, and it's difficult for them to travel up and down this hill, trying to make sure they have the right logs and the right puzzle in their minds! Brooklyn is very strategic, figuring out the puzzle before heading up the hill with their logs unlike the other teams who wait until they get up the hill to do so.
However, that hike up the mountain is grueling. Everyone is struggling, especially San Diego surprisingly! Sam is having a hard time making it up the mountain with her logs, and it doesn't help that the guys on her team are yelling at her.

In the end, Brooklyn takes the win! One by one, the rest of the teams figure the puzzle out. It ends up being St. Thomas and New Orleans, who both only have two people left on their teams, fighting against each other to not go to the Arena. St Thomas pulls it out, sending Jemmye and Knight into elimination.

Back at the house, the deliberation is the easiest I want to say in Challenge history for Brooklyn. At deliberation, they choose San Diego to go into a mental challenge, simply based on the fact that San Diego has been the head of their separate alliance, sending all of these other teams in, especially Brooklyn. Afterwards, Frank mentions that he wants to go in with Ashley. It turns out that Zach and Frank had made a pact that if their team went into the Arena, Frank would take the mental and strategic games, with Zach, with his strength, would take physical or endurance. When Sam speaks up, saying that she feels she should go in, Frank quickly backs out, scared to go in with her because of her lack of performance lately. It starts a huge fight because Zach feels that Frank is going back on his word. Neither one of them wants to go in for different reasons.

That night at the Arena, Jemmye and Knight take their place for the elimination round. Though Sam steps in to fight for her team, Zach and Frank didn't come to a decision about who will go in, leaving that power in Brooklyn's hands. Brooklyn quickly chooses Zach to go in, though the mental game is "Water Torture" (the game that Camila and Eric failed miserably at a few weeks ago!) Though the game is mental, it's also about strength and endurance, with the guys having to pull themselves down into a tank of water and holding themselves under for their teammates to solve a puzzle. I honestly would have actually put Frank into this one, because he's definitely weaker in those categories. When Zach starts struggling to get to the bottom of the tank, Sam surprisingly lights a fire under his ass and gets him to dig deeper! They end up winning the challenge, sending Jemmye and Knight home and leaving five teams left in the game.

Back at the house, it's obviously awkward between Frank and Zach. Frank thanks him for his work in the Arena, but Zach walks away from him, seeing what kind of competitor he really is. The game will only heat up from here, so we'll see what happens next week!

Check out an all new episode of Battle of the Seasons next Wednesday at 10 p.m. only on MTV!
Picking up from last week, we have six teams...well five and a half, with Knight and Jemmye holding on for New Orleans.

Alton and Frank get into a little altercation in the gym. Frank keeps trying to antagonize him, but Alton keeps his cool. Later, Alton makes a decision not to go to the beach with the rest of the house.
It's a rule on the show that if one of them doesn't go out, nobody goes out. That pisses Sarah off as well as the rest of the house. Of course, Frank gets into it. Then Frank starts a fight with Dustin when Dustin comes to Alton's defense. Frank is quite the little annoying instigator!

Later, a clue from TJ comes in: "If you think your opponents in the house are crazy, just wait until you see the challenge tomorrow!" The next day, everyone heads to play "The Insane Games," a series of events, where one team will be eliminated each event. The teams that lose the first two events will go head to head in the Losers' Round. The first game, Chariot Race, requires one person to pull his entire team on a chariot, while wearing a horse mask. It's hot and the mask is suffocating to all of the teams. Brooklyn comes in dead last, meaning that they will be the first team to head to the Losers' Round.

The next game is Egg Drop. One person is throwing eggs over a 10 foot wall and the other is supposed to catch it...with a dog collar around their neck. The first team to catch 6 eggs will win. St. Thomas is the last team to catch their eggs, putting them in the Loser's Round with Brooklyn. In the next game, Ear Pull, opponents sit on a long, with a two foot string around each opponent's ears and you're trying to get the string off their ear using your face. Absolute insanity!

In the Winner's playoffs , the two remaining teams end up being Vegas and New Orleans. Two members charge at each other with a chariot, with one other person hitting them with a mallet trying to knock them off. New Orleans ends up winning the power team after Trishelle accidentally stepped back from her chariot.

During the loser's round, Brooklyn goes against St. Thomas to play "Fish Head." The goal is to knock your opponent off of their platform...using a 15 pound FISH! It's two out of three, boys then girls.Marie gets heated when Laura wants to go for her team, because she doesn't feel like Laura is stronger than her in competition. While Trey wins the heat for his team against Chet, Sarah annihilates Laura in theirs.  In a coin toss, the girls ends up going again. And down goes Laura again! St. Thomas is making a trip to the Arena, and New Orleans will deliberate to decide who will go against them.

Back at the house, Alton talks to Zach about putting Vegas in. He plans to lose so he can get away from these people and tells his team. Of course, his team members are pissed and tell him that they  refuse to throw the challenge in the Arena. It's definitely selfish of him to do that. I understand his frustration, because there are a lot of young rookies at this Challenge. However, it's still a game, and they're playing it to their advantage, especially if they can get you to quit like that!

At the deliberation that night, of course, New Orleans chooses Las Vegas to go against St. Thomas and picks Strategy for their game. One guy and one girl will go in to represent their team. Nany says that she will go in, but she would rather go in with Dustin, who she knows will put up more of a fight than Alton.

At the Arena, TJ reintroduces "Knot So Fast," the game with the jungle gym and the 100 foot ropes that the players tangle up and leave for their opponents to solve. Nany and Dustin go against Trey and Laura. On the sidelines, Alton gets into it with Zach and CJ about his not going into the Arena. During the challenge, Nany and Dustin are struggling with communication, while Laura and Trey are doing pretty well. Nany and Dustin seem like they didn't tangle as much, leaving Laura and Trey with a pretty easy puzzle to solve. However's it's about endurance as well, because those ropes are extremely heavy. Vegas ends up pulling it out, eliminating Trey and Laura, leaving Robb and Marie to fight for Team St. Thomas!

Back at the house, Zach and the rest of the alliance is annoyed with Vegas coming back to the house. The others are annoyed with the alliance, and Trishelle's not sure what to do about Alton. Who knows if he'll try to really throw a challenge to go home or not! Just another day on Battle of the Seasons!

Did you check out last night's episode of Battle of the Seasons?! Picking up from last week at the Arena, Devyn volunteers herself to go into the Arena which sucks for her romance with Eric (Remember, Fresh Meat are in YET AGAIN!). JD volunteers himself for Team Brooklyn as well. The dueling teams play mental game "Water Torture," which has two giant water tanks and two giant puzzles. The girls will be lifted by a rope to solve the puzzle.  The twist is the guys have to hold down their partner's weight by hanging by a rope from their ankles and hold their breath under water for as long as it takes for their partner to solve parts of the puzzle.

JD has the advantage because he's a competitive swimmer, and he's worked with marine animals. Fresh Meat seems to be going a lot quicker at first, while Brooklyn is struggling with communication. However, with the blood rushing to his head, Eric begins to struggle to get to the bottom of the tank, and the competitor in Camila starts freaking out. Eric eventually decides to quit the Challenge AGAIN, which sucks for Camila. She starts to go off on him, and I honestly can't blame her. It's clear that she wasn't trying to quit herself! Eric has a history of quitting, and now he did it again. Eric, stay AWAY from the Challenges. The game was completely out of Camila's hands which sucks for her. Of course, Devyn is sad to say goodbye to Eric, because that's the end of their romance for now. However,  I'm happy that Brooklyn gets to stay! Fresh Meat is the second full team out behind Austin!

That night, TJ sends the house a clue for the next challenge: "Knowledge is power, and tomorrow we find out who the real power team is!" The next day, the teams play "Chairmen of the Board." It's the famous pop quiz challenge where you will have to answer questions to stay alive in the game. You sit on a chair on a platform above water, and answer a question. If you get it right, you stay on the platform. If you get it wrong, TJ pulls a lever and releases you into the ocean (and that's a long drop!). Once one member is out, another team member goes in. Whoever's the first team out goes straight into the Arena. Whoever lasts the longest will win Power Team.

Trishelle is dehydrated, and is told not to participate in the challenge for the day, leaving Team Vegas with only three members to start out with. The questions range from trivia about past challenges to geography, sports to pop culture, and spelling. After TJ having fun with pulling the lever on teams, and people giving crazy stupid answers to questions, New Orleans ends up being the losing team, while San Diego is left standing as Power Team to decide who's going into the Arena against New Orleans.

As always, alliances were bound to get shaken up, and somebody from this alliance was going to go in the Arena eventually. San Diego decides to throw in Brooklyn to go against New Orleans (no surprise there!), San Diego also picks Endurance for the teams to battle in.

At the Arena, McKenzie and Preston volunteer themselves to represent New Orleans, while Chet and Sarah team up again. The teams play the endurance challenge "Balls Out." The teams have to slide balls to opposite sides of the court. Whoever has the most balls on their opponent's side will win the game. The twist this time around is that there are three heats of 90 second heats. The first heat goes to Brooklyn. The game really is about Endurance, and McKenzie loses her fire, losing the second heat. Brooklyn pulls it out, sending Preston and McKenzie home and leaving Knight and Jemmye to fend for themselves!

Time for more of Battle of the Seasons! Picking up from last week's episode, we're down two members from Fresh Meat after Cara Maria and Brandon were eliminated in the Arena, leaving Eric and Camila to fend for themselves. The house enjoys a day on the water. Eric and Devyn are happy, flirting with each other. Meanwhile, Knight and Trishelle talk. Knight is suspicious of Team Vegas after they almost broke the Cancun/San Diego/New Orleans/Vegas alliance last week.

TJ sends a clue later that night : "Tomorrow is the perfect opportunity to shed some excess weight." Nany later goes searching for her missing bag of laundry, only to find that her clothes are in the pool. Knight is the one who did it, trying to break her down, but really just looks stupid. Jemmye herself goes to tell Nany. The whole house turns on Knight for his stupidity. He's trying to mentally break people, and goes to throw more of Nany's laundry in the pool. It's immature, but everybody comes out to help her get her clothes out. Dustin makes it fun by diving in to get the clothes. All of it did was put a target on Knight's back (and the rest of their alliance).

At the challenge the next morning, the teams play "Don't Weight Me Down" The game has a giant platform with seven holes, with the goal being to hold a basket by a rope through the holes while opponents fill it up with rocks. Two people hold the basket, and the other two run to fill up the basket. The first team to let their basket hit the ground will go straight into the Arena, and the last will be the Power Team.

It's a hard challenge because the rocks are heavy and the challenge is long. The Alliance starts out throwing their rocks into Brooklyn's basket, and Devyn and Chet have to let go. The next they try to get out is Fresh Meat, which only has Eric holding the basket, but Eric uses his legs and arms to keep fighting. He did amazing, but he eventually gives up too. The game eventually comes down to Cancun and Vegas. Cancun ends up taking it, after Vegas gave out.

Back at the house, Cancun brings up the Alliance and talk to St. Thomas about not choosing a side. Marie and Robb automatically get defensive. St. Thomas is the wild card of the entire Challenge, because they like to do things their way. Later, when TJ comes back for the decision, Cancun chose Fresh Meat for the fourth time in a row! This challenge will use all mental. It sucks for Devyn and Eric, because either one of them will go home, and thus end their romance for now. Later, Chet calls CJ out on throwing Brooklyn in the Arena, and tells him he's a phony for speaking positive to their faces, and then throwing them in the ring like that.

That night, the house goes out to party. Devyn and Eric are stunned at their connection, and talk about their love connection. It's so different for both of them, because they both date different types of people. Camila, meanwhile, is frustrated by these alliances and goes off on the bus, which I can understand. It's a game, but the teams that are the strongest should get to compete. It sucks that some of the weaker teams are still around only because they are in an alliance. However, it's a game, and that's how you play. Jemmye and Knight fire back at Camila. Knight goes off on Nany too back at the house, and Nany goes to fight him. Dustin tries to calm her down, and Nany packs her stuff to go to another room to get away from Knight.

The next day, Jemmye tries to talk to Knight, telling him that this all really just shows her that he hasn't changed at all. Nany is through with the alliance with Cancun and San Diego and New Orleans. However, she refuses to leave.

Eric and Devyn get in an argument after she refuses to tell him the age differences between her and the men she's dated (she likes older men....yeah). Eric doesn't like being vulnerable, but felt like he was being open and honest. Now, he feels like she wasn't honest with him. Jemmye goes to talk to her about it, and she feels like he thinks it won't work when he goes back to Kentucky and she goes back to New York. Knight goes to talk to Eric and tells him to enjoy the time that he spends with Devyn now before it's over. It's very emotional for them, but they work through it. Devyn herself is still not sure if she wants to go in because of her relationship with Eric. At the Arena, Devyn volunteers herself to go up against Camila and Eric, and the episode ends. I really, really wanted them to stay together in the house, but that's how the cookie crumbles. That's the Challenge!

Check out what happens next week on an all new episode of Battle of the Seasons on Wednesday at 10 p.m. at MTV!
Watch The Full EpisodeSorry that this took so long! The presidential debates were last night at the same time as Battle of the Seasons, so you know which one I had to pick (Rock the Vote...but make an INFORMED decision people!). I finally had a chance to check it out and do a recap.

Picking up from last week's episode, we're down one full team already, losing Team Austin! Back at the house, everyone is resting a little easier, with some even making some love connections! Eric clearly has a thing for Devyn, while Alton and Sarah are developing a connection of their own. Trishelle doesn't trust it at all, because she was told that Sarah is extremely manipulative during these challenges, and she thinks Alton's lovestruck enough to fall for it.

Later, Camila reads the text clue from TJ: "Some of you have hooked up with each other in the past. Let's hope this doesn't sink you at tomorrow's Challenge." The manipulating among the Las Vegas/New Orleans/San Diego/Cancun alliance starts, with their plan to get rid of Fresh Meat, and then Brooklyn. However, Trishelle sees that Alton messing around with Sarah is messing that plan up!

The challenge for the next day is "Hook, Line and Sinker." The goal is to make it across this weird platform with bars with hooks to keep them in the air. The whole team has to move together in order to get to the next bar. The team with the fastest time will be the Power Team. The team with the slowest is going right to the Arena. Since they won the last challenge, San Diego gets to make the order.

In their heat against Brooklyn, Fresh Meat seems to have a good rhythm. However, Easy loses his grip and falls to the water, disqualifying their team. With all of the teams either finishing within the time limit or making it past Fresh Meat's falling point,  Fresh Meat, YET AGAIN, goes into the Arena. Between the two fastest teams, Cancun and Las Vegas, TJ reveals that the power team is Las Vegas!

Of course, Vegas has to deliberate who will face Fresh Meat in the Arena. Trishelle wants to send in Brooklyn, while Alton wants to send in New Orleans because they're weak. Clearly Alton wants Sarah to stick around, and hates the alliance stuff, but Nany and Trishelle know they have to go with the smart decision and stay with their alliance which is with New Orleans, San Diego and Cancun. The other teams in the alliance catch wind of the possibility of Alton wanting to break the alliance, and now they're suspicious of Vegas as a whole. The majority of Vegas does end up choosing Team Brooklyn, against Alton's wishes of course, and pick Strategy for the battling teams to face in the Arena.

Back at the house, Trishelle talks to Sarah about her basically manipulating Alton to win the Challenge. Sarah and Alton are actually happy together, and Sarah tells Trishelle that. Of course, Trishelle doesn't believe it and doesn't even think that Sarah will volunteer herself.

Fresh Meat doesn't not work as a team at all. Camila and Brandon go at it after Brandon approaches her to talk. She ends up being extremely upset, and wants to go home. However, the next day, the two work through their problems, and plan to do better for their team. Meanwhile, Trishelle is hell bent on getting Sarah out, thinking that Sarah is so manipulative. Chet backs Sarah up.

That night at the Arena, YET AGAIN, Fresh Meat can't decide who they want to go in. Cara Maria and Brandon are picked by Austin. Sarah and Chet volunteer themselves for the Arena. In the challenge "Not So Fast," two ropes are attached to two separate jungle gyms, and the teams tangle the ropes through the jungle gym, wanting to make it as complicated as possible. Then the teams will switch domes, and untie the rope that their opponents just tangled. Whoever brings the entire rope in the middle of the Dome will win.

While Sarah and Chet are more strategic with their tangling, Brandon and Cara Maria seem like a true blue mess.  It's clear that this Strategy game uses everything- Stategy, Physical, Mental, and Endurance too! The game is really, really close, but Sarah and Chet take it, leaving Fresh Meat with only Camila and Eric! Meanwhile, Trishelle's feeling kind of stupid because she didn't even think that Sarah was going to put herself in, but she did and she won.

The last game in the Arena is now Mental. Back at the house, though he only has one teammmate left, Eric is cool because he's spending time with Devyn. They have a great connection with each other, and he's good with that.

*****For the record, Eventually I will get back to entertainment news, but I'm learning how to balance three other blogs so please bear with me!

Decided to recap the newest season of MTV's The Challenge--Battle of the Seasons! Held in Bodrum, Turkey, and, as always, hosted by BMX rider TJ Lavin, this season brings together teams of people from various Real World seasons battling the other seasons to see who's number one! Of course, it's awkward, because not everybody got along! The seven RW seasons represented are Austin (Wes, Lacey, Danny and Melinda), Back to New Orleans (Preston, Knight, Jemmye, and McKenzie), Cancun (Derek, Jasmine, CJ, and Jonna), San Diego (Frank, Ashley, Zach, and Sam), Las Vegas (made of the original and the second season-Alton, Trishelle, Nany, and Dustin), Brooklyn (Chet, JD, Devyn, and Sarah) and the newest kids on the block, St. Thomas (Trey, Marie, Robb, and Laura).

Of course, the money should be enough to override all (or at least some) of the drama! $250,000 goes to the winning team, the biggest prize in Challenge history! $50,000 goes to second (think it should have been at least $75 K, but whatever), and $40,000 goes to third. TJ also introduces everybody to the Arena is where the elimination rounds will be. The losing team is sent into the Arena, and the winning team will send another team to battle against them. There's a twist, however. Each team has to decide which two players will go in.  If they lose, your team is down to two players (which can be a pro, but mostly a con depending on the challenge). And, of course, if you go in again, and lose, your team is automatically finished. My question is, will the other two members who got disqualified still get money in the end if their other teammates win? Because I don't like that haha!

The first night is all partying, as always in the gorgeous villa. Of course, everybody talks through some of their past issues with each other. Ashley and Frank have problems, because, from their season, he felt like she was being fake and lying to him. The next day, the cast still drinking and having fun. Melinda and Danny try to deal with their divorce (which I just found out!), and it's kind of awkward for them. I think that, as time goes on, they will definitely hook up in the house. Jemmye and Knight broke up because he cheated, but he's persistent on getting her back. Meanwhile, Jonna is crushing on Zach, and goes to Jasmine for advice on how to handle it. Jasmine tells her to get to know him better, and see where things lead.

Later that night, the crew gets a text from TJ with a clue to the next challenge: "Some of you have crossed each other in the past. I hope that doesn't come to bite you." Already, CJ is going into the game wanting to send Wes home, because Wes sent him into elimination from Fresh Meat 2. Of course, Wes starts plotting and manipulating already, trying to get the St. Thomas kids on his side.

At next day's Challenge, TJ makes the shocking revelation that one more team is joining the roster! I was expecting it to be a Road Rules team (because MTV acts as if they never existed, and it would just be a nice change up), but it was a mix of folks from Fresh Meat (Brandon, Cara Maria, Eric, and Camila). The challenge, "Don't Cross Me," has a wooden X up in the air, with the teams having to climb up ladders from the ocean to get to it. The teams, two at a time, cross from opposite sides of the X. Everyone has to be careful though, because it the weight isn't distributed right, the X will be thrown off, possibly sending someone into the water! The team with the quickest time wins, and the last place team will be sent right into the Arena!

Each team does pretty well. Though Big Easy boasts about losing 70 pounds, and wants to make up for his less than impressive performance in The Challenge some years back, he falls from the ladder and is unable to get up, putting Team Fresh Meat in last place. Preston falls too during his team's turn, but he digs deeps and gets back up to finish. Of course, Fresh Meat ends up last, and will be automatically sent into the Arena. The first power team of the season is Cancun, who zoomed through the challenge no problem!

Of course, at deliberations, CJ tries to get Team Austin in the round to get Wes back. St. Thomas were brought up too, of course, because they're the rookies, and rookies are normally first to go. Cancun does end up choosing Austin, though. In showing the cast the Arena again, TJ announces that there are four types of games for the eliminations--Endurance, Strategy, Mental, or Physical. The power team will choose which game the teams will face off in (yet another advantage). Cancun chooses Physical, while the Austin crew and Fresh Meat have to decide which two they will be sending in.

Later, the other six teams come back and get drunk. Frank ends up getting all worked up from the alcohol, even getting in Wes' face with Zach having to pull him away. Sam says something smart to him, and Frank throws her a low blow talking about her girlfriend. After finally getting Frank to chill out, Zach gets away with Jonna and they kiss. They have a connection. Later, Jonna talks to her boyfriend back home and breaks up with him, which breaks his heart. She needs her freedom, and obviously wants to spend more time with Zach.

Before the elimination round, Wes and Lacey (Austin's chosen duo) were confident that they wouldn't go home. Meanwhile, Cara Maria (who volunteered herself) is worried about everything and has second thoughts about going into the Arena, which pisses off Eric (who's going in too) and Camila. Seriously, Cara Maria is never in the right head space for these games. She's good, but mentally she's not there fully, and that's her downfall!

The physical elimination is "Hall Brawl," and the goal is to run through your opponent in a small glass hall and ring the bell on the other side. Cara Maria runs over Lacey in their heat, and Eric pretty much stomps Wes. Their heat came down to a photo finish, and by 2/10ths of a second, Big Easy got it! Fresh Meat sent Wes and Lacy home, leaving Melinda and Danny to fend for themselves. Of course, CJ is happy, because he took out the top dog and his fiercest rival. TJ also announces that the other types of challenges have to be used before anyonc can use Physical again (to make it fair).

Overall, a good premiere episode. I thought last challenge was bad, but this challenge looks like one of the fiercest yet! Of course, the hookups and drama are going to be rampant, and I'm excited to watch! Make sure you check out Battle of the Seasons every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET only on MTV!
