Sad news for the afternoon. Actor from the 70s sitcom, "Diff'rent Strokes" Gary Coleman passed away at the age of 42 this afternoon of a brain hemorrhage. Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said that Gary died at 12:05 p.m. MDT. Gary suffered the brain hemorrhage Wednesday at his Santaquin home, 55 miles away from Salt Lake City.

A statement from his family said he was conscious until midday Thursday, when his condition worsened and he slipped into a coma. Coleman was then placed on life support, and passed away this afternoon.

Even if you didn't watch the show (or the reruns for my generation LOL), you definitely knew Gary by his famous line "Whatchu talkin bout Willis?!" LOL I also remember him being in The Parkers, and Nikki made a show for him or something called "Gary & Company" and they had a theme song for it. I used to sing it all the time LOL Here's the episode below. I loved this one! Part two starts the song if u dont wanna watch the whole thing. After the jump!

Gary & Company Part 1

Gary & Company Part 2

Awww...swear the last two years have been terrible for celebrities. We've lost several, and it's sad to read about, especially when you watch them and read up on them. RIP Gary. You will be missed. Keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

PEACE.

I normally don't do late posts like this, but I saw this news and had to write a short piece on this one. To the title of the post, WELL DUH!!!!!!!!! I've been seeing the pictures for weeks now with Alicia Keys and her obvious baby bump! I know you guys have as well. According to UsMagazine.com, Miss Alicia has finally come out and confirmed that she and her FIANCE producer Swizz Beatz are expecting their first child. The wedding will take place sometime this year! Sorry Mashonda lol

Well it's good to have some confirmation on their side. Congratulations to them! I truly wish them the best. And I hope this whole mess between Alicia, Swizzy, and Mashonda gets worked out, FOR THE SAKE OF THE KIDS YALL! COME ON!

PEACE.

Well, I love Brandy and Ray J's new show "Family Business" that is shown every Sunday on VH1. It's cool to see the Norwoods at work and at play. They're a tight knit family, but every family has its problems, as is seen on the show. Well, glad to say that VH1 has decided to develop another season featuring the Norwood family, according to SingersRoom. The news was announced Wednesday. The show is still going through its first season, with the season finale to premiere on June 27 at 9 p.m. ET. Oooh wait, conflict. BET Awards...gotta do my review so I will check that out online later that week. But to everyone else, if you aren't watching the Awards or anything else, make sure you check it out.

"What Chilli Wants" has also been renewed for a second season. The season will feature either Chilli looking for love with a new set of men, or settling down with whoever she has on the show. I never really watched the show. I might catch up on it sometime. After all the stories I've heard about Miss Chilli not really knowing what she wants, I might just watch it for entertainment. The season finale for this season is this upcoming Sunday May 30 at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Ok, so this is one of my favorite songs by Trey Songz probably EVER. I saw the preview for this video a while back, and I knew it was going to be good. It features Keri Hilson and Trey as husband and wife (they make a very cute play couple btw) and they have a young daughter and wonderful relationship. Only thing is, Keri is a soldier in the army, and is suddenly deployed to Iraq. Check the video below!

I'm not gonna lie. The video had me upset. It was a great video definitely. I was sad and mad and it really hit home for me. Families all over are going through this exact same thing because of this stupid war, and it angers me. People are saying goodbye to family members and friends, and it's possible that that last hug before they leave to head to Iraq will be the last hug they ever get. *Sighs* It was a sad but true video. I'm praying for all of the soldiers that are fighting overseas. I pray you make it home safe and sound. Good job Trey and Keri.

Ahh...Romeo. Romeo, Romeo. Such a cutie, but going through some struggles though. I don't know if he's still a student at USC(University of Southern California) and all , but I know he got kicked off the basketball team after two seasons (and I had such high hopes for him too). He only played 19 minutes over the past two years, and wasn't really contributing so I guess the athletic department over there decided he wasn't worth keeping. Awww :(

BUT...seems Ro still has some things to look forward to. According to MTV News, rapper Romeo may win a role in the last Twilight film of the popular vampire/werewolf series. "We're talking to some of the executive producers right now," he said. "It's a small [role], but you might see me in there," Romeo revealed in a interview with MTV.

In addition to the possibility of this role, Romeo is now promoting a new album due in July and the horror movie The Pig People, set in Louisiana, his home state. It's a movie Romeo described as both "spooky and sexy" that revolves around creepy half-pig creatures that go on a murderous rampage in a small town {UMMMMM...OK). The film also stars Romeo's dad, Master P {OF COURSE}.

Don't know how successful these endeavors are going to be, especially that pig movie LOL, but alls I can say is good luck to the boy. Hope to see him in Twilight and maybe some more LEGIT movies (cuz I highly doubt that The Pig People is coming to theatres worldwide LOL).

Morning yall....hope all is well.

Early this morning, Ne-Yo premiered his first single off his upcoming album Libra Scale, called "Beautiful Monster." Listen to it below!

It's not the hottest song I have ever heard from him, but it's catchy. I'm a big Ne-Yo fan, so I'm looking foward to the new album. Been patiently waiting since Year of the Gentleman. Libra Scale is going to be released in September so be on the lookout.

PEACE.

Good morning people! Hope everybody had a great weekend and that this week goes well! Unfortunately, I have to start this week with some sad news.

According to the L.A. Times, only five months after the passing of actress Britany Murphy, it was discovered last night that her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack, died in his Hollywood Hills home. The cause of death was unknown. Sgt. Louis Lazano, of the L.A. Police Department, said, ""We have detectives at scene. They are conducting their investigation. Once we have further information, we will provide it."

Brittany passed away of pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple drug intoxication. Coroner's officials said she had gone into cardiac arrest because of "drug intake," and her Dec. 20 death was classified as an accident.

This is really sad news to read. It's hard losing one loved one, but two? Within a five month period? I can only imagine what their families are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with them in this time.

PEACE.
Good morning all....

Here is an alternate video of "Halo" by my girl Beyoncé. It was released by different news sites today. I don't know if any of you have seen it, but I haven't, so I had to feature it. I'm gonna let you figure out the concept. Look at the released version and then watch the original version, and try to figure out what Bey was going for.

Hello all. Here's the new post for the day. More Jennifer Hudson news!

Jennifer will have her Behind The Music episode premiering on VH1 in June. Those scheduled to comment on her life and music include her fiance David Otunga (Punk from I Love New York), Ne-Yo, Randy Jackson from American Idol, among others.

According to VH1, this hour long special will chronicle Jennifer's childhood in Chicago with her family, her short-lived stint on Idol, and of course, her rise to fame with the role of Effie in Dreamgirls. What I did not expect to be talked about in this episode was the tragic murder of her mother, brother, and nephew. However, Jennifer will be speaking about this openly (to an extent, I'm sure, so don't expect a tell-all) and talking about her return to the public eye after such a painful event. She will also discuss life as a mother, with footage being shown of her interaction with her son, David Jr.

I am a big Jennifer Hudson fan, so I definitely will be tuning in. The episode will premiere June 28 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1. So be sure to watch!

PEACE.

Hello all. Hope this post finds you well. And since tonight is Glee night, this post is fitting for a Tuesday.

For those of you who are huge Glee fans (AKA Gleeks) like myself, as well as Madonna fans, this news will excite you. A few weeks back, the show dedicated a whole episode of songs to the legendary Madonna, giving us the Glee cast version of songs like "Vogue" and "Four Minutes" (which quickly became #1 on my top 25 most played list on the iPod). Well, it is official that there will be another Madonna episode coming! Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed to Access Hollywood that this episode would probably come sometime next season. Regarding whether or not Madonna would make a guest appearance, Ryan told Access, “I can’t say. But she’s sort of the muse of our show, I think now She loves the show and has supported it. She gets the show is about arts education and so she’s very supportive about that.”

Awesome! Madonna is definitely a legend that should be celebrated, and I'm excited to see what songs the cast sings this time around. I don't think I can say it enough. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! Side bar: Did yall know that Jonathan Groff (who plays Jessie St. James, Rachel's boyfriend) is gay? Not against it cuz I have love for everybody and have quite a few gay friends, but I just had no idea. Bet now when I watch tonight's episode, I will probably look for some signs or something lol.

Oh btw, like my new signature?

PEACE.

Good Monday morning all! Hope everyone has a productive and blessed week. Here's the news for the morning.

According to Access Hollywood, the production of the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela biopic starring Jennifer Hudson, will continue, despite of Ms. Madikizela-Mandela's threats of legal action. The ex-wife of former South African president Nelson Mandela wanted to approve the script before the filming of the biopic went underway. However, film director Darrell Roodt and producer Andre Pieterse decided against it, saying that the film's script had been thoroughly researched and there was no need from influence and interference from the main characters.

Production of the film will begin May 31 in South Africa, lasting for 10 weeks. The biopic will scan Ms. Madikizela-Mandela's life from childhood to the present, and will, of course, entail her marriage to Nelson Mandela and her fight to get him released from prison during South Africa's apartheid era.

My girl Jennifer Hudson will play her role, and Terrence Howard will star as Nelson. Jennifer admitted that she didn't know much about the Mandelas and South Africa before she accepted the role, but she has done her research and seems to be ready to take it on. "I’m still in the process of learning,” she said. “It’s not small shoes to fill, it’s a big deal. And it’s something that I’m extremely excited about.”

I'm excited too. I love movies that detail history, because they give audiences across the world to educate themselves about issues and stories that took place in the past. I honestly, am not all that familiar with this particular story myself, but I look forward to watching the movie and learning. Perhaps I will even pick up a book or two at the library and read up on Ms. Winnie. And my girl Jennifer is going to be in it too?! That's always a plus. I greatly admire her as an actress. Now I'm just gonna need her to come out with a new album, and I'll be straight!

PEACE.

What a great Christmas it will be then! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you read that title right! A new Tupac Shakur album will be released this Christmas, according to BET Entertainment (I LOVE THIS SITE!). The president of Canadian company Wideawake Entertainment John Payne told VIBE.com that the album will consist of previously recorded unreleased material. Apparently, these songs were recorded during the All Eyez On Me days.

Payne told VIBE.com, “This is unreleased Tupac…no remastering or remixing. The songs are from a collection of tracks that were recorded during his Death Row days around All Eyez On Me. I believe that these songs could have been Tupac’s next record if he were still alive."

Well, I'm definitely looking forward to it. I will be buying that on iTunes. Man it's crazy. If Tupac (and some of our other legends no doubt) were still around, they would definitely be letting my generation know how it really be! Swear some of this new stuff out now, I just can't get with it.

So I'm a huge fan of the song "Unthinkable" off of Alicia Keys' newest album The Element of Freedom. In fact, it's probably one of my favorites off of the album, falling second to "That's How Strong My Love Is." The video for the song premiered this morning, and I had to put it up and give my two cents. It takes the audience through different decades and highlights Alicia and Chad Michael Murrary, who are in an interracial relationship. They get flack from their friends and family because it is somewhat unacceptable in families, even today, to date outside of your own race. I connect the concept of the video to the song like this: Despite what everyone around them are saying, Alicia sings "If you ask me, I'm ready." She's ready to do the unthinkable, to take this journey with Chad, because she loves him and it doesn't matter what anyone else says. Great concept Alicia. Watch the video below.

Before I begin, I would like to say rest in peace to legendary singer, actress, and activist Lena Horne. She made a great impact on this world, and she will be missed. My condolences to her loved ones.

After a good couple of years of being engaged and having a son who is now three years old, LaLa Vasquez and Carmelo Anthony are finally set to marry this summer. According to BET Entertainment, VH1 will chronicle the couple's pending nuptials in a five part series. Read an except from the news release after the jump...

The series begins with the betrothed couple, Lala and Carmelo, meeting with A-list wedding planner to the stars Mindy Weiss and follows them through all the wedding planning festivities. Viewers will ride along as Lala shops for the perfect designer wedding dress, chooses the wedding venue, picks out the ultimate wedding cake and menu, plans their honeymoon, and contemplates the guest list, all while maintaining her and Carmelo’s hectic schedules.

Along the way viewers will also get a glimpse at Lala’s celeb-hosted bachelorette party in Las Vegas, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the couple as they gather with their family and friends to prepare for the big day. The series will culminate in a 90-minute lavish celebrity-filled wedding finale in New York that only this superstar couple could host.

The series will premiere Monday, September 13 on VH1. Should be interesting...I love how all the celebrities have to have their reality TV stints now a days. Well, it's money in the pocket. Can't be mad. Plus, I do wanna see this happen. FINALLY. I wish them well.

Hello my readers! First, I would like to wish a very happy birthday to my little cousin Bre'Anna who turned four today! Love you much *MUAH* lol ok back to my news for today.

A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by Lauren Coleman, founder and president of Punch Media Group. Her company focuses on reaching 18-34 year olds through online and cell phone methods to spread the word about different businesses and their products. She reached out to me to do a piece on a show called Asia Uncut, a late-night talk show in Asia!

The hour-long show premiered in 2009 and mixes sketch comedy, musical performances, and celebrity interviews from both Asian and Western talent. Past guests include Edward Norton, Jackie Chan, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, as well as Asia celebrities like Lee Wonghorm and Donnie Yen.

Creator and host of the show, Jon Niermann, decided to create the show after spending 12 years in Asia. Niermann, who was also a past Disney execute, felt a great need for a regional night show in the area. "We finally just decided to shoot a pilot, and it got picked up right away," he said. "[The show] gives international artists a unique platform in a familiar format to reach a broad, affluent audience, while at the same time, gives Asian artists a chance to broaden their fan base to the English-speaking market." The show is produced by Niermann's company West Meets East Productions, and is shot in a studio in Shanghai, China. It is broadcast weekly via syndiccation and reaches 100 million people worldwide.

This season is now available to watch in the U.S. online at the Asia Uncut website. I've checked out a few episodes, and I really like it! The music is great to listen to, and the guests are very interesting people with varying talent that will definitely excite you! You guys should definitely watch yourself!

So I've been in love with this song for a minute. Miss Beyoncé killed with "Why Don't You Love Me?" which tells the story of a hard working woman telling her man that he better realize what he has in front of her before she rolls out. I wasn't in complete love with the video, but it was cool to watch. It has a pin up style to it and Bey even showcased her Grammys in it (a message to all these R&B chicks that they better recognize who the ultimate Queen is? lol). Had to showcase it, so watch below!

Happy Monday all. I hope everything is well with each of you...

Ok, so I'm beyond excited for this post, because it features Mr. Wale Folarin {DMV where yall at?!} Wale released his video for his new single "Diary" this morning on MTV Jams. I wasn't expecting to see it til Thursday when he is supposed to premiere it on 106 & Park, cuz Loyola doesn't have MTV Jams, but, my luck, Rap Radar posted it for me! So now I'm sharing it with all of you....

This is definitely my favorite song off Wale's album Attention Deficit. The video, directed by Rik Cordero and shot in Brooklyn, is pretty basic, but the lyrics are some of the most beautiful lyrics I have ever heard. Wale basically talks about a woman that has had bad experiences in the past with relationships, and how it is hard for another man to come in and win her heart and trust. It is a very true song. I feel many women today find it hard to open themselves up to men because they continue to let hurt and pain from other relationships paralyze them, and make them fearful that the next man will do the same. I know this first hand. So I say to any woman (or man, possibly) that could have been wronged by a past partner, don't let that keep you from finding true love in another.

Let me stop rapping LOL Enjoy the video!
