Ariana Grande has released her latest music video for new track, "Focus!"

The song itself, which is the first single from Ariana's upcoming third album Moonlight, reminds me a tiny bit of "Problem," but I still love it. She brings the sass and confidence on the song and in the video, and breaks out dance moves while donning a purple wig! It's really fun, and I know her fans will love it.

Check out the video below!

What do you think of "Focus?"
Last night's episode of Being Mary Jane was HEAVY! Picking up from last week's season three premiere, the episode starts with Lisa having what seems, at first, like a typical night. She makes herself dinner, takes a shower, before putting on a nice nightgown. In a very calm and weirdly happy manner, though, she slowly takes a bunch of pills with wine, committing suicide! Afterwards, Mary Jane gets a call from David, but ignores him and deletes his number from her phone. He eventually shows up at her house, but she's already at work. Niecy calls MJ asking her to come over, as David tells the Pattersons what happened to Lisa. Niecy ends up telling Mary Jane over the phone, as Helen cries and Paul sits in shock.

That same night, Mary Jane looks through all of the calls she's been ignoring since her accident. She comes across all the ignored calls from Lisa too, including Friday, which I'm assuming, may have been the day (or close to it) that Lisa killed herself.

Later, Kara comes to visit Mary Jane, along with Mark and Nichelle, and they all reflect on memories about Lisa. Mary Jane takes matters into her own hands, planning the funeral service. Nichele reveals that David is actually the one who found Lisa, which prompts Mary Jane to have an actual conversation with him, albeit short and awkward.

The next day, Mary Jane goes to see her parents, with Helen believing that they played a part in Lisa's death by ignoring her. Mary Jane seems very numb, as she focuses on planning the funeral. Helen told Lisa's family what happened, which upsets Mary Jane since Lisa hadn't spoken to them in 15 years, and, for good reason, as we find out later on. MJ then goes to Lisa's house and sees Lisa's last dinner on the table, still in a sense of shock and numbness. At that moment, Lisa's mother and stepfather arrive, and, by the little details, it's clear that MJ had a stronger connection with Lisa than they did. Mary Jane refuses to have the stepfather Charles at the funeral, and states that she will not be there if he is, implying something happened specifically between the two of them. Lisa's mother later states that she lied to the family about what happened to Lisa, and that people will talk if Mary Jane doesn't come. She doesn't want a scene, so she asks Charles not to come, which he agrees to. Seems like she doesn't even care that her daughter is dead, instead worrying about what people will think.

Right before the funeral at the end of the episode, Mary Jane and David talk, and she reveals that she finally broke down and cried the night before. Instead of writing her eulogy, she spent time picking out a dress for the funeral, and oddly got this bad pain in her chest before finally crying for hours, It was because the dress she picked, Lisa had told her not to buy because it was too expensive. That was the one of the last times they went shopping together and spend real time together as friends, and now Mary Jane is giving the eulogy at Lisa's funeral. It's all really sad to watch and think about.  David struggles to find the right thing to say, but encourages MJ, stating her eulogy will be great. He also tells her that Lisa's death is not her fault, which, understandably, she gets angry at. For one thing, you don't say that to somebody, especially on the day that she has to bury a friend she's had from childhood. Mary Jane is angry at him implying that it was her fault, instead of saying they both could have done better by Lisa. To be quite honest, everyone could've done better by Lisa. Not saying that her messing around with David was right, but when you have a good friend like that, you need to rally behind them even in their hard times. It's clear that Lisa was struggling with serious demons, and she was often pushed away, specifically by MJ.

At the funeral, Charles still comes, and the minister shuts MJ down before she can make a major scene. During her eulogy, MJ admits that she and all of us really are constantly pretending that we're okay in life, when we're really not. We're afraid to be honest with each other. "The lies we tell each other are what killed my friend Lisa," Mary Jane said, before opening up about some of Lisa's ugly truths. Mary Jane shockingly states how Lisa's stepfather molested Lisa from the ages 9 to 16, and that she suffered from depression and insecurities. Lisa's mother breaks down, and I don't even think it was because all of this happened to her daughter, but because of the fact that now everyone knows about it. Sad. Though a shocking eulogy, Mary Jane expresses that the best way to celebrate Lisa's life is to tell the truth. She encourages everyone to tell those around them that they are loved, no matter how ugly their truths are.

I posed a question on The Spotlight's Twitter page, asking was Mary Jane wrong for telling Lisa's truth or was it necessary? My goodness, I felt like it was needed, though shocking and awkward at a funeral. Lisa was wrestling with real problems, which ultimately led to her death. If she had talked about it more with others, and people hadn't swept it under the rug or ignored her, she might have still been around. What I love about this show, what I've always loved about this show, is that, even though you're wrapped up in the plot, it discusses real issues that impact us all, especially people of color. It opens the door to have some much needed discussion. This episode had me thinking about mental health and suicide. I have been trying my personal hardest to be more of an open ear to others and more observant and understanding of what they're going through, because life is hard, man. It takes a lot out of you, and, often times, people struggle with problems alone. I don't want to ever miss or ignore signs that someone in my life is seriously struggling, and may need help. I hope you all don't either.

If someone has said something to you about wanting to kill themselves or you are noticing a lot of signs, PLEASE DO NOT sit idly by. Call a doctor, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255 or try to convince your loved one to go to the hospital immediately and seek help.

Today, we have singer/songwriter and actress Malynda Hale! Hailing from Santa Barbara, CA, Malynda got her start singing in church, and also participated in musical theater in school. "Santa Barbara was very eclectic, and I was always exposed to different genres of music," she said of her hometown. Her father was also a musician, so she grew up listening to many of the greats like Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Whitney Houston. "I think being exposed to so many different styles did help me to craft my own," said the singer, whose own style is within the pop/soul realm.

The singer attended Azusa Pacific University, majoring in Opera and minoring in Musical Theater under the university's Vocal Performance program. With all of this knowledge and experience in music, Malynda began booking gigs around L.A. and released her first project, No More Tears, eventually moving to New York a few years later. "I just wanted a change of pace, and I started getting into doing theater again," she said of the move. "I ended up doing shows all over, [but] never actually did a show in New York."

Hopping between the Big Apple, L.A., and eventually Chicago where she lived with her now- husband, Malynda was able to expand her career in TV, film, and commercial, and found a new love for music again, specifically in Chicago. "A lot of the projects I was involved in, I got to offer music up for those," the singer said. "I started doing gigs around there as well. It was such a different culture in Chicago, and appreciation for music." Having released several musical projects of her own , Malynda moved back to L.A. after her husband finished law school a few years ago.

This past week, Malynda has released her fourth album, Pieces Of Me, which reflects her broad taste in music. "The album is called Pieces of Me, because it is a very eclectic album," she said. "I have pop stuff, It has some soul [and] R&B. It has some throwback kind of feel stuff." The project features her latest single, "Gray," was released back in September, which Malynda co-wrote with producer Kevin Porter, who produced most of the project. "Gray," is actually an older track that was written a few years back, but then revamped for the album. "The concept behind the lyrics, which I know a lot of people can relate to, is just being in that friend zone, where you're in this kind of gray area with a person," the singer said of the track.

Pieces of Me reflects Malynda's own stories of conquering fears, love and heartbreak, and struggles in the music industry. She poured out her heart, creating a project with a lot of personal messages. "There's so many ups and downs in this album, which is how life kinda is anyway," she admitted. There's a lot of of ambiguous tracks as well, which Malynda wants listeners to interpret in their own way, and use the music to help them with their own personal journeys. "I hope people find that one song or several songs that they can connect to, that they can play over and over," the artist said. "Or hear those lyrics, and say, 'Wow, I really felt that way,' or 'Wow, I really see what Malynda was going through.'"

Malynda balances her music career with a bunch of hosting, spokesperson, and acting opportunities, which definitely keeps her on the move. "I always say that I would rather be busy than bored," she said with a laugh. She has appeared in several television series, films, and commercials, and co-hosts after-show programs on The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries.  Malynda is also the proud spokeswoman of Valana Minerals makeup and MASI Shop clothing. Though it keeps her really busy, Malynda wouldn't have it any other way! "I just love being a part of the entertainment industry," she stated. "If I can be an influence in the industry by being prominent in different areas, then I'm happy!"

In addition to all of her work in entertainment, Malynda also heads up a great organization called meTOO!, which fights for relationship equality. "It basically talks about the correlation and similarities between same sex relationships and interracial relationships, and how both groups face adversity," she said. "But we're all kind of going through the same things [in relationships], so you're able to say 'Hey, me too!'" Malynda and her team conduct photo shoots with different couples every few months, and share their unique stories with others. "It's really just based on love, and I think the world needs more of that," said the artist, who is in an interracial relationship herself. Those in interracial and same-sex relationships are still being discriminated against, and Malynda has created an organization that serves as a support system for them.

In terms of what sets her apart, Malynda believes that her classical background gives her voice a different tone. The singer is also very vocal about what she believes in and stands for, even in her music and on social media, and also makes a constant effort to connect and have open discussions with her listeners and others. In the future, Malynda wants to have a theme song written for a TV show, expand the meTOO! campaign, and reach as many people with her music as she can.

You can check out more from Malynda on her official website. as well as Soundcloud and YouTube. You can also follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

The next artist we're spotlighting hails from my hometown of Akron, Oh! Hip hop artist L-Dro was inspired by and grew up listening to artists such as Pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, Scarface, Jadakiss and AZ. These artists, who, in his opinion, were out when rap music was at its most competitive and authentic, influenced him to try out the music he most identified with growing up.

When asked what makes him different from other artists, L-Dro states that it would be a combination of his drive, versatility, beat selection, lyrical content, and determination. He also feels like he goes harder than anybody when it comes to rapping. His new single, "The Life We Live," off of his upcoming Higher Education EP, features two of rap's lyrical veterans in Jadakiss and Beanie Sigel and has garnered Dro a lot of attention on various blogs, mixtapes & and radio shows. He said the track came to be from a collaboration between him, his manager and Aganee Jenkins, who produced the track. He said they reached out to both rappers, who were ready and willing to lend some lyrical firepower to Dro's track. He said the addition of them made the track really feel like hip hop to him. He also has a new track called "Win Or Lose" off of DJ Kay Slay's new album. The track also features New York City upstarts Dave East, Vado, and Fred The Godson. This track, which was created after an invite to be on Kay Slay's radio show, is currently getting a lot of airplay on radio.

Dro is currently preparing his new EP, which is set to include features from Jadakiss, Beanie Sigel and Victoria Monet, as well as production from The Olympicks and Tommy Brown. He's also working on a new mixtape hosted by DJ Kay Slay and another album.

When asked about what singles he would suggest potential new fans to check out, L-Dro said "Immaculate" and "Angels Cry" off his latest mixtape, "In Us We Trust", which was hosted by DJ Drama. He suggested people check out the project in its entirety as well as the previous mixtape DrOHIO, which was hosted by Def Jam VP of A&R and producer DJ Don Cannon. Before the interview was over, I asked L-Dro about what has been his favorite moment of his career so far, and he stated that it would be his trip to SXSW in Austin, TX. "[I] had a great time networking with so many different artists and DJs from all over, and performing in front of big crowds." the artist said. "It was an amazing experience."

Can NOT stop watching Scream Queens! I need answers on everything going on with this crazy show! Picking up from last week, the Kappa girls cast their votes for president, and it's a TIE between Chanel and Zayday, becoming co-presidents! Chanel, of course, is upset, and blames Number 5 for not finding a way for her to president.

When Number 3 and Number 5 go to check on her, Chanel reveals she voted for Zayday and wanted her to win, surprisingly. Chanel didn't want to be the boss in the midst of this huge crisis with a killer on the loose, believing that there would be a bigger target on her back to be killed herself. She has a "Chanel Dies Last" plan, and gives Zayday a key to the storage room, seemingly trying to give the Zayday administration a chance, but really wanting to kill her off.

Zayday's number one goal is to stop the murders. Grace believes that some of the Kappas know more than they are letting on, and Zayday believes that it all may come out if they throw a slumber party.

At the Dollar Scholars' house, the guys have a talk with Chad about him having sex with Dean Munsch and Denise. They all think it's weird, so he pledges to stay committed to Chanel. They also plan a "panty raid" on the Kappas' slumber party. The slumber party starts with Spin The Bottle. Number 3 really wants to kiss Sam to explore her feelings, and, after she does, she believes that it's too dangerous for them to actually have sex thinking when she loves someone, it will drive that person insane because of her father being Charles Manson. Crazy.

Jennifer and Sam reveal that the doors and windows are locked, and they are trapped in the house. Grace thinks it was his father, but Chanel believes it to be the killer. Turns out Chanel turned the whole house into a panic room, and the switch to unlock everything is broken. At that moment, the lights go out! Chanel calls Chad for help, and he admits that he had sex with the Dean and Denise. She still loves him regardless, and the Dollar Scholars run to save them. After Chad break a window to get in, the Red Devil appears! Most of the guys make it up the ladder, except for the armless frat guy Caufield who can't climb fast enough without his arms! The Scholars and Chanel watch as the Red Devil chops off his head!

Grace thinks that maybe they all need to leave school, but Zayday refuses to be afraid! She starts a game of Truth or Dare with the Kappas and Scholars to find out who the killer is. Grace asks Sam what Number 3's deepest, darkest secret and Sam reveals her father is Charles Manson. Now, everyone thinks she may be the killer. In retaliation, Number 3 angrily dares Sam to go into the storage room and take a nap in the bloody bathtub! Of course, the Red Devil appears, and hits her before placing her in the tub. She asks to see his face before he kills her, and deep down, knew the truth about the Red Devil's identity. The Red Devil then suffocates her to death with a plastic bag!

Hester talks to Chad about them being together, but he doesn't think that they would work because she's crazy! However, Hester refuses to be #2 to Chanel or stop til she gets what she wants. After Chanel walks in on Hester trying to hit on Chad, she proposes a game of Seven Minutes of Heaven, angering Hester. Chanel considers taking Chad back, if he will finally be monogamous, which he promises to (I'm sure that will be short lived). Hester screams after finding Sam's body, and Chanel believes that Hester is the one who did it. Chanel wants to lock Hester upstairs until they can find a way out. Meanwhile, while in the closet with Number Three, Roger is shot to death by the Red Devil with a nail gun, who then just walks away!

The Kappas and Scholars find Number 3, where Chad reveals that there are two Red Devils out there. Chanel thinks that Number 3 is the killer, but also brings up an interesting point that Pete isn't there (he's "studying").A secret tunnel is revealed in the closet, which may be how the Red Devil got in the house in the first place. The tunnel has pictures of past Kappa presidents, all of whom were mean girls like Chanel. The Red Devil appears with two axes, managing to grab Zayday and back her into a corner. However, Chanel hits him over the head with a vase before he can kill Zayday.

The next day, the cops makes the decision to keep Kappa House under surveillance around the clock. Wes storms in, wanting to take Grace home, and,of course, she refuses. Afterwards, Number 3 admits to Number 5she was in love with Sam, not seeing herself as a lesbian, but just as someone who wants love, wherever she may find it. The two also make a pact that they will outlive Chanel no matter what.

That night, Chanel gives everyone pink nunchuks, stating that no more Kappas will be lost. Zayday starts a random dance party to finish out their slumber party, and the girls actually. They actually have a good, standard sorority moment, while the Red Devil looks on!

Being Mary Jane is back for a third season, and this is going to be a crazy one! Picking up from last season, last night's two-hour season premiere the Pattersons, Lisa, David, are at the hospital to see about Mary Jane, who was in a terrible accident. Kara is also there, fighting over the phone to protect MJ at SNC and also covering the mirror with paper towels in MJ's hospital room. Mary Jane's face is severely cut and bruised, but she is alive. Another woman named Cecilia (Loretta Devine) was the other driver involved in the accident, but looks to be okay. After Mary Jane gets a CAT scan, she goes off  after seeing David in the hallway, alarming her parents, who try to get an explanation from him. David attempts to tell them that he mistakenly called MJ while he was talking to Lisa about some things in their past. When David refuses to go into detail, Paul punches him!

Back at her room, MJ is adamant about seeing
her face. Though Kara tells her to wait for the doctor, MJ eventually rips the paper towels off the mirror, and looks in shock. The doctor explains to her later that she will have even more bruising and swelling in the next few days. However, he's optimistic that she will heal nicely. While all of this is going on, the higher ups at SNC are trying to see how they can spin this so the network comes out looking good, especially since Mary Jane had some alcohol in her system.

Meanwhile, Lisa talks to Helen about how she wanted David to approve her decision to be honest with Mary Jane about what happened with them. Helen is understandably angry because Lisa could've been with any man! She considers Lisa and David to both be family, and for them to hurt MJ like this is unacceptable. Later, Mary Jane goes to try to apologize to Cecilia, who prefers to be called Cece. Cece seems nice and positive, since they both made it out alive.

When Mary Jane eventually leaves the hospital, reporters swarm trying to get her story. She makes sure to give Cece a check for $3,000 as well. Later, MJ's lawyer meets with her about SNC's pending investigation into the accident and her alcohol level,  and she realizes that the network is low key trying to get rid of her by using this as possible grounds for termination. Helen also comes by to see her afterwards, telling MJ that she needs to accept that David never wanted her, and to move through the pain. MJ can still be happy, and she needs to believe that in her heart.

The next day, Cece meets the SNC executives, getting some hush money. However, she states firmly
that she'll need more since she doesn't have medical insurance. This woman knows the game. She says that, since advertisers pay all of their salaries, they won't want to hear that their star anchor is an alcoholic or drunk driver! After this subtle threat, CeCe manages to snag $100K, with part of the deal being that she will have to sign a confidentiality agreement, which she agrees to.

That night, Mary Jane gets a visit from PJ. In their conversation, he asks what is about David that always gets her riled up? MJ thinks that he reminds her of their father. MJ realizes that she a man who will be there for her, but she put all of her eggs into David's basket, and now finds it too hard to start over. PJ admits that he, along with David, are "silver spoon brothers," stating that when a man's been catered to his whole life, he doesn't know how to work for anything. He also states that she and other women need to learn to say no to guys like that, which is true. David isn't going to fight for her, and she deserves a man who will.

Later that same night, Patrick brings Lisa to talk to Mary Jane. MJ angrily confronts her,  "apologizing" for all of of Lisa's insecurities and that she's so angry and couldn't find a man of her own to love her, She even asks Lisa if they would really be friends if they met today, or have all these years of "friendship" just been out of obligation. Though Lisa wants to address the conversation Mary Jane overheard, MJ wants time and space to deal with the fact that she was betrayed. I understand her anger, I do. However, Mary Jane should've let David go a LONG time ago!

As Mary Jane heals, SNC is still going forward with their internal investigation of Mary Jane's accident. Her lawyer, Arthur, fights for her, though they are trying so hard to depict her as an angry black woman with a drinking problem to try to get rid of her. Cece eventually goes to see MJ, and reveals that she has MJ's lab reports from the hospital, and wants $25,000 from her to keep quiet. Though Cece did sign a non-disclosure agreement, that protects SNC, not Mary Jane herself! I couldn't believe this greedy woman! And here I was thinking Cece was going to be a nice character, I guess like how Loretta's characters typically are. Nope! MJ decide to mull it over, with CeCe planning to come back the next day for an answer.

At the network, Mary Jane's boss Greg reveals that they want a female of color to replace Mary Jane for now, since the ratings dipped a bit. However, SNC won't commit to a time frame for MJ's return. When she talks with Arthur, he argues that the longer the fans wait, the greater the appetite will be for her to come back, especially with her "Ugly, Black Woman" piece still getting a lot of attention. MJ casually asks about the non-disclosure agreement with Cece, without admitting the blackmail. Arthur claims it will protect her regardless, but she isn't so sure. Meanwhile a representative from an agency representing Latinos meet with Greg, stating that Latino staff and reports on Latino staff are basically nonexistent at SNC. He would hate for the network to get an "F" in diversity on their public standings.

Later, Patrick's daughter D'Asia has basketball practice, and her mom Tracy shows up from her stint in jail. When D'Asia notices her mom's house arrest bracelet, Tracy admits to Patrick that she has to be in her half-way house by 7, as well as take a drug counseling class. Clearly against his better judgement, Patrick offers to pick her up so she can make it to D'Asia's game that week.

At MJ's, Kara admits that SNC is trying to hire a temporary replacement that looks like her. MJ is
freaking out, because she worked hard to get her position and doesn't want to lose it. She suggests finding an "ugly, black woman" to fill her spot, which is how SNC sees all women of color apparently. Ugly and interchangeable. If Kara pitches it right, Mary Jane believes the network can get amazing press on this while MJ waits to reclaim her throne. Later on we see though, that, instead of choosing an ugly, black woman (obviously), SNC hires a pretty Latina, Marisol Esparza, as MJ's replacement.

The next day, Tracy and Patrick go to D'Asia's game, along with Paul, Helen and Niecy. Tracy gets upset that people don't recognize her as D'Asia's mom, and feels like she doesn't belong. She starts to make a scene, but eventually leaves, after stating that both she and Patrick were addicts. I guess she feels some type of way now that Patrick is getting his life together.

Later, Cece comes over for her money, but MJ only has $5000, since she's taking care of everybody else. Cece boldly puts her on an installment plan. The two have a talk about the slavery system and discrimination blocking the black man's success. However, MJ feels like sometimes that is used as an excuse for laziness, calling Cece out for her blackmail. At that moment, Marisol's segment comes on, and MJ's bitterness comes out. Cece tells her that she should be worried with the growth of the Latino community in the country, and the fact that, if MJ doesn't make a move, she won't be able to get Marisol out of her chair. Though Cece is an extortionist, she's really got Mary Jane thinking. She's like a harsh life coach that MJ needs!

That night, Patrick finally puts aside his pride to ask Paul to help him find a steady job so that he can be there for D'Asia regularly. Niecy gets upset though, because he wasn't there for her and their other sister like that. Niecy actually admired that independence that kept him away working at all hours, but they could've used the perfect father that he's now trying to be for D'Asia. However, she has to realize that he was in a different place in his life then.

The next day, Mary Jane takes Cece's advice, and boldly walks into the network. All glammed up, she busts into the meeting for PrimeTime ready to discuss the show, even casually moving Marisol from the head of the table! Mary Jane Paul is back!

Got some new music for you all today (be sure to check the blog Tuesdays and Thursdays for new tracks)! Back in June, we featured Mi'das, a great singer/songwriter based in London. Well, the artist is back with a new single "Feels Like Only Yesterday!"

From his upcoming debut album All Inside Your Head, the song features Mi'das' soulful vocals and draws inspiration from Stevie Wonder himself. As you listen, it's like being taken back to the chill vibes of the 70s, which is perfect as the song speaks on the "worry-free innocence of youth," according to a press release sent out by Project Light Agency. The song itself is smooth and easy, perfect for a drive or a day outside. Personally, I'm a very visual person, so I kept picturing myself outside walking and relaxing even as I sit at my desk typing this! It's also a great song for reflecting on the easier days of childhood.

I love the track, and I love that Mi'das uses his gift of music to express real emotions and feelings, creating tracks that have a classic, timeless feel. "My viewpoint is that popular music doesn't have to be throwaway," Mi'das said of the track. "We as musicians, songwriters and earthlings have the opportunity to say something in that 3-4 minute window. If we convey it honestly and concisely it will hopefully then carry to the listener and affect them." Exactly!

Check out the great track below!

Be sure to check out Mi'das' acoustic version of "Feels Like Only Yesterday" on YouTube as well! You can check out more from the singer on his official website, and check out more of his music on YouTube! You can also follow him onFacebookTwitter, and Instagram

Hailing from the West Side of Detroit, we have rapper Young Holley! He got his start in music after his brother-in- law showed him the movie Krush Groove (Hey Uncle Rush!) when he was a kid. The most memorable scene for him was when LL Cool J rushed into an audition when the auditions were already over. They were trying to kick him out but he was so good when he rapped for them that they signed him on the spot. This had such a great impact on Holley as a child that it became one of his favorite movies and birthed his love of rap.

Young Holley said the difference between him and other rappers is that his ability to create real music that will hold the attention of listeners. "I'm not afraid to be myself in my music or speak on very personal situations," the rapper said. "Music is therapy for me and it's the only thing I am passionate about." Young Holly also noted that he was inspired by his doubters and anyone overcoming obstacles and chasing their dreams. This type of passion and inspiration helped create his new single, "Grind For It." He stated that everyone has "to work for what you want. That's the only way you'll get it. Nothing was ever given to me."

Currently, the rapper is working on an untitled project, which features "Grind For It" as the first single. The track is available for purchase now on iTunes. In the meantime, fans and new listeners should check out his latest mixtape GRIP

We ended our interview by asking Holley about any potential work with frequent collaborator, friend and fellow rapper Cash McKenzie. As of now, they are both focused on their individual projects, but he hopes to have some new collaborations with the rapper  in the future.

R&B/soul artist Finnli is back with a new music video for her track, "Sorry!"

Directed by The Last American B-Boy, the video shows Finnli on the streets, struggling to get by. On the song, she sings a tale of regret, genuinely apologizing for the immense hurt and pain caused to another. "Settled into routine, got too comfortable...started looking at you differently" she sings. "Home wasn't my focus or priority. I know it's all my fault." The song itself brings a lot of emotion, and Finnli's vocals shine on the track. The visual, though simple, really does the song justice as well.

Check out the emotional music video below!

Another crazy episode of Scream Queens! Picking up from last week, Chanel is finishing up her intense pumpkin match, complete with a corn maze and performances. She's stressing of course, because this needs this to go well in order for her to be reelected president. Chanel lets the other Chanels know that they will all attends as wives of falls presidents, with Chanel herself as Jackie Kennedy. When Number 5 is assigned Mary Todd Lincoln (for her psychopath behavior, according to Chanel), she goes off the deep end, stating  that she's done with Chanel and storms out. However, Number 5 loves riding on Chanel's coattails, so she never actually is bold enough to leave Kappa.

Later, Dean Munsch and Wes call together the Kappas and Dollar Scholars, who are most likely to be targeted again. Dean Munsch announces she is closing down the campus on Halloween. Chad tries giving a stupid speech to convince her to change her mind, but she is not swayed. The Dean puts them on curfew and cancels all Halloween plans, including the pumpkin patch.  Afterwards, Chanel writes a letter to the student body, inviting everyone to the pumpkin patch at 12:01 am on November 1, when the curfew will technically be over.

After the meeting, Number 5 ends up venting to Hester about Chanel, and the fact that Chanel steals her ideas all of the time. bitter about Chanel stealing her ideas all the time. Hester reveals that she's is a "switch-hitter," switching sides for her own benefit. She and Number 5 o see Jennifer, to try to sway the votes to Zayday, so that Hester can become Vice President (and eventually kill Zayday to become president herself). After seeing high quality candles wasted by Chanel, Jennifer (who's a dedicated candle vlogger, remember) decides to go along with their plan.

Later, while Chanel cheats on a test in class, she is ARRESTED for the murder of Ms. Bean. As she is taken away in the cop car, the other Chanels, Hester, and Jennifer watch, implying they turned her in. In the next scene, we see poor Zayday is stuck in this huge ditch, trapped by the Red Devil!

Back at the Kappa House, Grace and Pete are trying so hard to convince everyone to look for Zayday, but no one seems to care. In fact, they think that she should be able to escape wherever she is to prove herself as a president nominee. Grace and Pete go to find Wes to help them instead. They catch him and Gigi in bed together, though! You can tell that Grace is a little disturbed by it, but plays it off. Meanwhile, Chanel gets bailed out of jail, ready to seek revenge on Number 5.

Dean Munsch and Denise talk about the Dean's sexual encounters with students, especially Chad. Turns out Denise slept with him, too, and it was the best night of her life, though Dean Munsch was less than impressed. At that moment, Grace and Pete, Gigi, and Wes busts in. Denise stresses that the girl can't be dead, still holding on to this notion that Zayday is the killer herself. Dean Munsch has hired Denise to find her, and everyone else decides to go along to come up with a plan.

Later, Number 5 dresses up as Jackie Kennedy for the pumpkin patch, and Chanel busts in on her. It was all a part of Hester's master plan for them to turn on each other like this, of course. Though Chanel, at first, threatens to kill Number 5, she instead states that Number 5's punishment will be to finish setting up the pumpkin patch. Of course, with it being nighttime and the Red Devil still at large, Number 5 refuses. However, Chanel blackmails her, stating she has a video of Number 5 self-loving...while watching Dora The Explorer. These writers are absolutely crazy.

Meanwhile, Wes, Gigi, Grace, Pete, and Denise try to come up with the best plan to find Zayday.
Grace remembers the "Find My Device" app, and is able to find where Zayday probably is!

At the Pumpkin Patch, Number 5 takes Roger and Dodger the Dollar Scholars (twin brothers who are both seeing Number 5) to light the jack-o-lanterns in the patch. Of course, the Red Devil shows up, and there's a wild chase in the corn maze. In the end, a life is lost, with Dodger being cut up by the Red Devil's shears!

Later, Grace and everyone manage to find the cellar where Zayday is being held. Wes, Pete, and Grace find the Red Devil's lair and the hatch where Zayday is...or was. When they open it, it is completely empty. Meanwhile, Denise and Gigi find all of the Red Devil's weapons. The lights mysteriously go out, as the Red Devil uses night goggles and starts up a chain saw Gigi manages to tase him, but, of course, he gets away. Grace thanks Gigi anyway for trying, and they come to a good conclusion about Gigi and Wes' new relationship. However, Denise is now further convinced that Zayday is involved now that neither she nor the Red Devil can be found.

Back at the Kappa House, Chanel tries to start the vote for Kappa President, without Grace and Zayday there. However, Zayday pops back in at that moment! She tells them that she was kidnapped, but the Red Devil actually gave her little treats. He let her out of the ditch, giving her a bouquet of roses, and even made her favorite nachos for her, like he was in love with her or something! Grace comes in, too, corroborating Zayday's story. Looks like this won't be an easy vote after all, Chanel!

At the end of the episode, Gigi herself meets up with the Red Devil, telling him that someone apparently has to go. And it's a "he." Could it be Wes? Or Pete for meddling? Who's next on the chopping block? Guess we'll see nest week!

Today, we have musical artist Genius! Formerly known as V.I.C. and remembered for his hits, "Get Silly" and "Wobble," Genius discussed his start in music, his name change, and fresh start as an artist!

Check out more below!

Born in Queens, NY, the artist moved to Atlanta, GA, at a young age. With Atlanta being such a huge spot for music, Genius began working on music of his own, constantly in the studio creating. "It got to the point when I really believed in myself, and I just knew what I had was good," he said. Inspired by artists like T.I. and Tyga, the artist began performing at open mics and other venues, and opening for different artists to develop a name for himself. He began to actively pursue a contract with Collipark Music, sending his music out literally every week, though he was rejected many times by the label.  "I just kept doing that for years, until the day I put a CD on their desk that I was really, really, really confident about," Genius admitted. That day, he told the executives at Collipark that if they didn't like what he had to offer this time around, he would never come back. That CD, though, landed him a record deal!

Working under the artist name V.I.C. at the time, Genius dropped his debut album, Beast, in August 2008. The album sparked hits "Get Silly" and "Wobble," which many of us know and still dance to! However, due to mismanagement and other business differences, Genius ended that business relationship. He changed his name, and struck out on his own, wanting a new start. "People know you for what you come out with, but they don't really get to know you as an individual," Genius said of being an artist in the industry. "I just wanted a fresh, new start, so that when I come out as Genius, [listeners] don't tie that to my past, and they can accept Genius for all the new forms of art and music that I'm ready to bring forth."

One of Genius' latest tracks, "Murder She Wrote," has been recently released, and was featured on The Spotlight last month. After receiving the track from his business partner, the artist was inspired to create his own feel to the song, and came out with a pretty dope track! Check it out below!

Currently, Genius is working on his new album Versatility, which will showcase his own versatile musical style, not just hip hop and R&B. "I adapt to all styles," he stated. "I'm not really caged in when it comes to music." Genius also plans to release more singles in the near future as well, as well as expand his new label, Miracle Music.

In the future, Genius wants to thrive as an independent artist and head of his label. "Now that I own my own company, I just desire success for my new brand, success for my label, and my own success, when no man can rob me ever again." Genius is definitely coming back with a new attitude, brand, and focus, and I'm excited to hear more from him!

Be sure to check out more from Genius on his official website, as well as SoundCloud and YouTube. You can also follow him on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram!
