Picking up from the last episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Mimi goes to the studio to see K. Michelle. She talks about dropping off Stevie's stuff and wonder if she can really fix things with him through counseling. The purpose is really to work on communication with him. K surprises her with a song that talks about Mimi's struggle, which really goes in, which Mimi appreciates.

Meanwhile, Karlie meets up with her manager Malcolm. Karlie talks about all of the outside work she has going on with makeup, hair, etc. (all of which I have yet to hear about), but Malcolm says all of this is from her recording in the studio. He also asks her about her relationship with Benzino. Because some people have bad blood with him, and he is a little washed up, Malcolm doesn't believe it's a good look for Karlie to be with him. He tells her that she needs to focus on her career, which I agree with. Though I don't see her as a superstar artist (or much of a singer at all honestly), hey, if it's something that she really wants, she needs to work on getting better and furthering her career.

Later, we see Joseline in the studio recording some mess when Stevie J comes in. Apparently Joseline didn't tell him about her recording with Fly Dantoni. He threatens to shut her down, seeing as though he
"gave her everything she has." He says he's not going to sleep with her anymore, though Joseline highly doubts it. Neither one of them can separate business from pleasure, and it's hurting both of them in the long run. Joseline wants to be released from her contract with him, which he refuses. What can I say? Joseline, you should have never got emotionally involved, especially when the dude is your producer and is in a relationship!

Meanwhile, Rasheeda and Kirk talk about their marriage and business relationship. Kirk is still upset about Rasheeda meeting with outside management, but also he misses the "old Rasheeda" and wants more time with her. Rasheeda obviously loves him and appreciates what he has done for her. She believes that he should step down a little bit and let her explore some other options in terms of management for the sake of their marriage. I've been saying this since the beginning. Time to separate business and love.

The episode then zooms over to Benzino's house. Benzino and Karlie have been spending a lot of time together it seems. He surprises her with breakfast in bed, and a special surprise gift--the key to his house!  Karlie tells him about the conversation she had with Malcolm, and it gets Benzino upset. He tells her not to worry about what other people say, and focus on the love that they have for each other. I was texting my friend about this last night (I always have to talk with somebody about my shows!), and she brought this time frame that the show was shot in. I don't know at what week this scene was in terms of their relationship, but I hope it was MONTHS in or something. Because giving somebody a KEY to your HOUSE only two weeks in is undeniably crazy!

That night, K. Michelle has a performance at Park Tavern for ATL Live, and Mimi and Erica went to see her. Stevie J and Benzino also performs. Stevie performs a song for Mimi to try to impress her, but it really just ends up making her laugh. It was wack, talking about how he's sick of the arguing and fighting, which he is responsible for! And never once did he apologize or admit his wrong in the song! HA! Stevie comes over to the table and grabs her hand to talk to her, but he still doesn't want to answer questions or admit his wrongs. Mimi is extremely hurt because he was messing with Joseline while she was at home with a baby, and breaks down in tears. He wants to fix it, and Mimi really thinks they should go to therapy. In spite of her hurt and anger, she leaves with him.

At a pool hall, Shay and Scrappy have a little date. He tells Shay about the conversation he had with Erica about the child support, and he thinks she's using that to hold him still. Scrappy apparently proposed a lump sum and he would have been done with monthly child support payments. The more he said, the more it kind of made sense to me. He got an account set up strictly for Imani, but Erica wanted the money in her account, which is shady. Money could start to be put away now for Imani's college fund, or whatever. Shay thinks it's bogus, but she thinks that the two should work it out without getting lawyers involved, which I agree with. That could get really messy.

K Michelle goes to meet Stevie Baggs for a little date. They have a little connection, and plan to watch the game, and go bowling. However, the date then turns into a makeout session randomly, so I guess that bowling was out.

Later, Karlie goes to a meeting with Vince Herbert (music exec, Lady Gaga's manager, and Tamar Braxton's husband). Benzino set it up to prove to Karlie that he isn't washed up in the game, and still has connections. Supposedly, Vince wants to work with her and get her in the studio. At this point, this show is so obviously scripted it's sad. You mean to tell me, all of the greats that Vince has worked with, and now he would LOVE to work with KARLIE REDD?! Please.

K. Michelle had a conversation with her ex, and reveals she wasn't really feeling Stevie. She doesn't want to settle anymore, and wonders why she can't have a stable relationship with butterflies and all. He wonders if she is giving other guys that people say she should date a true opportunity. He thinks that she picks guys that "are in the same lane" as her, when really she needs to pursue guys that have the attributes that she wants in a long-term relationship. Duh. Makes sense. But a lot of women want the bad boy, or the roughneck, so a lot of times the good guy gets overlooked. However, K seems to want to find true love, so maybe she'll take her friend's advice.

Meanwhile, Mimi and Stevie go to therapy to discuss their issues. The therapist wants Stevie to own up to his mistakes, leading into a talk about Stevie's affair with Joseline. Stevie reveals that he fell out of love with Mimi, but the therapist makes him own up to the fact that he is a liar and a cheater. However, he also tells Mimi that she was wrong in enabling his behavior. Why does a man cheat? Because the woman lets him. The therapist then goes into asking about the couple's relationships with their mothers. Mimi's mom was obsessed with Scientology, and kicked her out at a young age. They didn't really communicate for a long while, and now her mother is gone. Mimi is looking for that love that she didn't get from her mother. Stevie didn't have a relationship with his mom at all. I get asking them about their relationships with their moms a little, but I feel like the therapist should have put the focus on their own relationship. Why, Stevie, did you feel the need to reach out to another woman? Did you feel it was okay because of something that Mimi wasn't doing? Why did you "fall out of love with her?" I had a bunch of questions that I would have rather seen answered, but I guess that's really none of my business anyway. I just know "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me," Mimi.

Another new episode of Hollywood Exes! Picking up from last weekNicole meets with her assistant Sandra to go over plans to move out of her house since Nicole recently sold it. Nicole has to pack up and find a new place in 30 days. Sandra gives her some options, and tells her to narrow them down to a few select ones to check out. Definitely stressful to try to do all of that in a month! Nicole is stressed about the lawsuits she has over her stolen money already, and now this!

That night, Andrea, Jessica, and Mayte go to a singles mixer hoping to find some handsome men. They meet Mark the matchmaker who is facilitating the event. At the mixer, these guys are not attractive at all, and there aren't that many of them either. The ladies go in anyway. The matchmakers Mark and Lynn-Ann introduce some group and couple games to see them interact. They all share embarrassing moments and turn-ons with the Toilet Paper game". Later, they split off into pairs where they play "Marooned" and together the pairs have to think of five things they both want on a deserted island.  The ladies had fun, but of course, they would never actually date those guys and were glad when the night was over.

The next day, Nicole goes to look at a house in Calabasas with another realtor. The house is gorgeous, but it's a little small for her big family (remember she has five kids!). She wants to build a movie theater and a bowling alley in which property she picks, so she needs a bigger house. She calls her realtor Bob and he tells her that he has some other houses in Bel Air to look at that might work for her.

Mayte and Andrea go for a walk and joke about the singles mixer. While walking, Tony gives Drea a call and talks about a barber that works at the shop where Tony gets his hair cut. The barber asked about Andrea and wanted to go out on a date with her. Andrea is very reluctant, which I don't understand, because she's always talking about men (but maybe she's for the swirl a little more than I thought!). Tony and Mayte tell her to call him. Mayte eventually talks her into calling Percy, and he asks her out for a date later on in the week to link up.

Meanwhile, Mayte's mom Nelly is having her 64th birthday and Mayte is giving her a party with a Middle Eastern theme. She plans to do a bellydance performance with the ladies since Mayte has been bellydancing since she was three. In fact, Nelly taught her! The ladies all practice together and do pretty well at their shimmy!

Later, Andrea goes out on a date with Percy. He is FINE!!!! Percy doesn't really know much about her except that she's starting a dance company here. She's nervous about telling him about R. Kelly being her ex. She tells her that she used to dance for her ex-husband, and lays down the bomb about her marriage. He was surprisingly cool with it. All Percy wants is to hang out with her, which really makes Drea feel good. There is definitely potential with these two!

The next day, Drea and Mayte go to the nail salon and get primped for the party. They talk about the date. Andrea tells Mayte that Percy responded well to the "K-bomb," and that she plans to invite him to the party too, with the rest of the ladies sure to grill him.

At the party that night, the ladies showed up in their sexy belly dance outfits. Percy comes through, and the ladies all wonder who he is, since they didn't know that Andrea was seeing anyone. And the grilling begins! We find out that Tony is 32 with two kids, and owns a chain of barbershops. The two kids, however, are by two different women, which of course doesn't sit great with Sheree. However, Percy tells the everyone how amazing he thinks Andrea is, and wants to see where things go.

The girls later do their bellydancing which they do well on. Nelly is very impressed. Mayte does her own solo dance, even balancing a sword on her head! In her eyes, you can see the passion she has for it! Nelly even gets up and does a little shimmy of her own, which is fitting since she first taught Mayte herself. It was just a nice present for Mayte to give her mom.

The next day, Jessica, Nicole and Mayte go out to lunch. Nicole talks about her house situation, stating that she still hasn't found the one for her yet. The conversation quickly switches to Andrea and her new man, which none of them knew about. They are all still kind of skeptical of Percy, but plan to support her. They're just unsure of the relationship right now. I say, Andrea go for it! I mean, it's been three years since her divorce. So what she's new to LA? She needs a little spice in her life! All of the ladies do!

Rasheeda breaks the news to Kirk, and he feels betrayed.Time for another recap of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta! Picking up from last week's episode, we see Joseline at a photoshoot rocking this terrible tribal wear. When Stevie tries to tell her that it's not a good look, she shrugs him off. He also tells her to stay in her place about Mimi with the threatening texts she's been sending. Joseline swears she is in a relationship with him, and just sees Mimi as the baby mama, so she plans on doing whatever she pleases.

Meanwhile, Shay goes to lunch with Momma Dee and they talk about Shay's potential relationship with her son. Right now, Shay explains that there is no official label on them, that they are taking things slow and seeing where they end up. Momma Dee also warns her that Erica and Shay's paths will cross soon enough and Erica will probably not be happy to find out that now Shay's seeing Scrappy.

Later, Mimi meets with Karlie. Karlie feels like her and Mimi's friendship is drifting and that Mimi should have warned her that K Michelle was so angry and planned to fight. When Mimi tells her about the Joseline situation, basically admitting that Karlie was right about them messing around, Karlie says in a confession that she told her so. Karlie also talks about her planned song with Joseline which upsets Mimi a little bit obviously because she doesn't like the girl at all.

Rasheeda later has a launch party for her new project, set up by manager-husband Kirk. The party, unfortunately, has a bad turnout, which Rasheeda instantly blames on him. There are also technical difficulties with playing her new video for "Marry Me," getting her more upset.

The next day, Karlie asks to meet with K Michelle at her photoshoot and they try to hash out their issues with each other. K Michelle of course lost it, and there was almost another altercation, before security promptly escorted her out. My thoughts? Just admit that you don't like each other and don't speak at all. Why waste time and energy when you're not going to get along?

Next, Scrappy meets with Erica to talk about their fight. Erica gets on him about playing with her emotions, breaking up with her and then coming to get back together. She tells him that their relationship is not going to work because he flip flops so much, like the relationship only remains intact when he wants it to. Scrappy somewhat apologizes, but sets it up to see if he can get off of child support. Now riddle me this. How does the "Prince of the South" or whatever he calls himself, have time to go out to clubs, spend money on bottles, but he can't spend money to take care of his child?!!! Erica refuses to take him off! Why should she? If you can make her, you can care for her too.

That night, Karlie goes over to Benzino's house for their first date. Who goes over to somebody's house on the first date, Karlie? Benzino sets up a really romantic dinner for the two of them, and they seem to connect off the bat. Benzino even gets her a book about films, because she's into movies as well. The couple ends dinner with a good night kiss, and potentially something more, though we don't know for sure.

Rasheeda meets with K and discusses her problems with Kirk. She plans to meet with outside management, which is great. For the sake of Rasheeda and Kirk's marriage, the two of them obviously should not be working together. Later on, Rasheeda meets with Deb Antney and tells her that she wants to take her career to the next level. Deb worries about working with her because of all of the people she's connected with especially D-lo, which is Kirk. Rasheeda worries about dropping Kirk as her manager, but Deb is honest with her. She tells Rasheeda that she needs to reevaluate her career and realize that she is the talent. Rasheeda should be worried about elevating her career, and take along those who are going to best be able to do that.

Later, Benzino and Stevie meet up to talk about Karlie. The date of course, went well, with Benzino even planning on meeting her family soon?! What? I feel like they really need to slow down. I mean, I know that the show is pieced together from different weeks or whatever, but all of this going to meet each other's families, going over to each other's houses, it seems like it's too soon. Meanwhile, Stevie tells Benzino about Joseline sending threatening texts to Mimi, and how he doesn't want to lose Mimi off of her. He plans to get Mimi alone with him to work things out.

At lunch, Erica talks her mom about her and Scrappy's break up. Erica also mentions that Scrappy had the nerve to ask to be taken off of child support, and Mingnon does not respond kindly. She tells Erica that by choice or by force, Scrappy will be taking care of that baby! I agree wholeheartedly. Scrappy's doing God-knows-what with the money he gets now, doing what I'm not sure, but he needs to be providing for his daughter.

Later, Rasheeda talks with Kirk about the meeting she had with Deb, and plans to bring in someone else possible to co-manage with him. Of course, Kirk takes it the wrong way, since Rasheeda didn't tell him about the meeting, and it looks like he is getting fired. As I said before, I think it's best for their relationship if they just stop working together. Rasheeda clearly wants mainstream success, but she's not going to get it just working with Kirk, and continuing down the road she is. She's only really relevant to me in Atlanta, and that's where she will remain if she doesn't do something different.

To end the episode, Joseline and Mimi meet up at a coffeehouse, where Joseline apologizes for the texts that she sent Mimi. She also admits that Stevie tells them both different things, getting them mad at each other. Joseline also apologizes for getting pregnant by Stevie, and of course, Mimi refuses to believe any of it. And why should she? Joseline knew that Mimi was in the picture, that she and Stevie were really together, and Joseline went along for the ride with Stevie anyway. All in all, Mimi remained calm about the situation. I can only hope that she doesn't get back with Stevie, and just moves forward with her own life, because she doesn't need this type of drama.

Jessica and Josie go on a bike ride, and Josie shares a secret with her mother.

Time for the recap of Hollywood Exes! Picking up from last week, Nicole and Jessica go for a run on Zuma Beach, and see some gorgeous guys. They talk about Jose, and mention that Jose has not talked to Josie about moving to Boston. Nicole mentions that Jessica should then tell her before she finds out on the internet. It's definitely a terrible move on Jose's part not to talk to his kid, especially for somebody who wanted to "be a part of her life" as much as he claimed to be.

Meanwhile, Andrea calls her best friend Angie who's watching her kids, and catches up on what's going on with them. Even though she wishes she was there herself, she knows that the kids are in good hands. It was hard for her to leave them, as she talks about with Tony, but it's about making a life for her children.

Later, Nicole heads out shopping with her oldest daughter Bria who is shopping for her first apartment. She's a model who also is getting into acting. Bria asks Nicole if she's going to start modeling again, and Nicole mentions an opportunity to do a billboard in Vegas. She started modeling when she was 13 and stopped when she got married at 25, and kind of misses it. She's nervous, but she has no reason to be! She's GORGEOUS!

Jessica goes on a bike ride with Josie, only to find out that Jose hasn't called her daughter at all and now Jessica has to break the news to her that Jose is moving. Josie is used to Jose not being around, but wishes that he told her herself. Josie is mad. She thinks that the only reason that Jose was talking about coming around was because he was trying to get back with Jessica, which I think is on point.  Meanwhile, she talks to Jessica about going on birth control. She wants Josie to wait, and wishes Jose was around to talk about it with them.

Later, Nicole goes to Las Vegas, taking the photoshoot opportunity with Camille Flawless, who has asked her to be the face of her dress company. She's nervous, but her body looks AMAZING in those dresses! Nicole feels confident and sexy, and realizes that at 40, she's learned a lot and grown, and that makes her even more beautiful than in her 30s and 40s.

Andrea goes to teach her first master class at Millenium, and she has a small turnout, which is disappointing. However, she doesn't let that discourage her because she loves teaching. She's great at it too! However, she knows that she has to do something to get the numbers up, else her class probably won't last long.

Later, the girls meet up for dinner. Jessica speaks to them about Josie's thoughts on birth control and Planned Parenthood, and then talk about their great relationships with their kids. Then Nicole drops the news that she's setting Mayte up on a date. Mayte is automatically nervous, especially with all of the input with the girls. Meanwhile, Andrea hasn't really dated since her divorce. All of the girls have had issues with guys being intimidated by their famous exes. A guy definitely has to be strong to deal with that.

The next day, Jessica comes over to Mayte's house to help her get ready for her blind date. She is really nervous. They go through Mayte's closet and finds a cute, sexy, fitted dress that still covers her, but still flaunts the assets a bit.

Meanwhile, Andrea and Sheree go looking for a guy for Andrea at the Farmers' Market. One of the guys got Sheree together saying "I'm here for tomatoes, not you!" DONE!!! They meet a cute single guy with no kids who loves "blackberries," and start talking with him. He's 40, and doesn't look like it at all! Andrea sees now where the place to find her "swirl" is.

That night, Mayte goes on her blind date with Gary, who's dressed in a hoodie after everything she did. He's funny and makes her laugh, but I don't think they really have a connection. They didn't have any chemistry at all haha! Mayte calls Nicole right after to laugh about it, and plans to spill all of the details later.

The next day, everybody heads over to Mayte's house to hear about the date. There was no love connection, but Nicole refuses to give up on her matchmaking! Everyone agrees that the Prince wedding china has to go, but Mayte also reveals that she has some of Prince's stuff. Everybody, even Mayte's mother Nelly, says that they would sell it! Nelly didn't like him at all as a person because he was too controlling. Mayte pulls out Prince's clothes, with Nicole trying on a shirt, and the ladies smelling it and what not! Sheree wonders if she's still holding on the clothes and the china because she's not ready to accept that it's final. Good point.

What do you make of a Karlie and Joseline collaboration?Should've posted the recap of Monday's Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta earlier, but I was feeling sick all day and not really up to much of anything, unfortunately. But I owe it to all of you who read them to put this up.  Picking up from the last episode, Joseline goes over to meet Erica to apologize for her drama last time they met. She realized that Erica is not messing around with Stevie J, though who is she really to fight for another woman's man? Erica clears up the fact that she wasn't messing around with Stevie, but she still doesn't like her and that's it.

Meanwhile, Mimi packs up Stevie's stuff and Ariane come over. Mimi wants it to work but she can't handle Stevie still messing around with Joseline. Ariane wants her to be done for good and believes that she will fall into Stevie's arms again, though Mimi promises she won't.

Later, at Scrappy's house, we find out Scrappy had an asthma attack and Momma Dee goes over to see him. She finds out from him that Erica called somebody else to take him to the hospital, which leaves Scrappy to feel like she doesn't have that affection for him. Dee tells him that he has some decisions to make over who he should be with.

Later Mimi and K Michelle meet for mani/pedis and Mimi reveals that Joseline has been sending her threatening texts, which doesn't make sense because Mimi is the one who should be mad at the situation. K also tells Mimi about her drama with Karlie and tells Mimi that she needs to set up a meeting with her.

At Scrappy's house,Shay goes to visit and was supportive of him during his asthma attack. He asks her if she would want her ex to see her if she was in his situation, but Shay thinks it depends on the extent of the relationship. She personally doesn't believe that Erica had to be there because she was there. They talk about forming a relationship. I personally never saw that spark between Erica and Scrappy anyway, even though they have a child together.

Karlie is finally meeting with Stevie about working on some tracks with her. He's reluctant because she "ratted him out" to Mimi. However, her management is Cash Money and Stevie's mind immediately changes. He tells her that they have to eliminate that drama aka "Karlie, don't run your mouth about what he does."  Then he asks her to do a little performance for him, during which she was ALL the way off key, but a pretty face gets into the industry most times. Joseline comes in during the performance, and Stevie drops the news that he wants them towork together and Joseline is not for it. She asks a good question: If Karlie is signed with Cash Money, why can't she do a song with Nicki Minaj? Or somebody else on the label? However, Joseline does agree to do the song for Stevie.

After leaving the studio, Karlie is approached by Benzino outside and they flirt. Benzino asks Karlie out on a proper date, and they plan to go out soon.

Later, Erica and Momma Dee get in an argument about Scrappy and how Erica should have been there for her. I understand having to work, but when someone close to you is going through something like that, how would you not want to see if he's okay? Scrappy has a talk with Erica and is upset but doesn't wanna waste his time waiting on her to become affectionate. They have a huge fight about Erica not being there during his asthma attack, and the breakup is implied. Meanwhile, Mimi drops Stevie's stuff out at his new spot. He tries to talk to her and wants to go see a therapist, but Mimi drives off, leaving Stevie to pick up his stuff in the driveway.

Later, Erica meets with K Michelle and Rasheeda in the park, and spills about the fight that went down with her and Scrappy. Though it's obvious they aren't together anymore, Erica still doesn't believe that it's about another woman. Little does she know that Shay and Scrappy are semi-together.

Meanwhile, K Michelle, Karlie and Mimi meet for drinks, and to talk about their drama. Mimi is tired of Karlie always saying that Stevie is messing with some woman. However, when Mimi is trying to sort out her issues with Karlie, K brings up the fact that Karlie doesn't need to be running her mouth to other producers saying that they don't need to be working with K. Michelle. The drama ensues when Karlie shakes a table to threaten K. Michelle, who proceeds to throw silverware wrapped up in a napkin at her head. The ladies yell in the restaurant and try to fight, prompting the show's security to grab K and move her into the bathroom in the restaurant. Oh, and side note, how you can officially tell the show is scripted, notice how during these altercations where the "public" is sitting, they don't say a word, move, or even look up? Sigh. It's funny to watch the drama though, which is why people tune in week after week.

Picking up from the last episode of Hollywood Exes, Nicole calls her lawyer who informs her more information about her lawsuit. It's definitely a stressful situation on her, and she's ready for it to be over. However, she's suing a lot of people, so it's going to take a while to be done.

Meanwhile, Mayte and Sheree go to visit Andrea to tell her the drama with Jessica about Jose moving to Boston. Now what does she tell Josie? He's definitely a douchebag for doing this to them. Mayte then makes an announcement that a friend of hers has a vineyard in Napa Valley and she is inviting everyone to go to a wine tasting. They call Nicole to tell her too. It should be a relaxing time for all of the ladies to get away from their stressful lives, especially Nicole and Jessica.

Headed to Napa, the ladies take a private jet, where Andrea is deathly afraid of take off and starts freaking out and crying. Sheree says a quick prayer, while Andrea's motto is "Keep praying, keep drinking. You're talking to a sinner and a saint!" With her drink, she finally calms down. She and Jessica even start talking about being down for interracial dating (aptly titled "The Swirl"). The ladies land in Napa and go straight to the Auberge Winery which is gorgeous!

Later, they go to a restaurant Bottega, with the executive chef even coming out to greet them. Andrea, of course, was looking! She starts talking about sex moves and that she's willing to learn whatever. Jessica brings up...umm woman ejaculation, and it kind of bothers Sheree who's trying to be all holy since she's now a preacher's wife. However, when she doesn't catch herself and says "ass" in a sentence, all of that's kind of out the window! Again, the drama with Jose comes up, and Jessica reveals that he hasn't told Josie about his moving to Boston. She hasn't talked to him since. The ladies recommended that Jose should be the one to tell Josie himself, which I agree with. He is the one that yet again is leaving Josie without her father. It leads into a conversation about men and fathers that they just don't get it sometimes, whereas moms have more of that nurturing nature to pick up the pieces. Even though Jessica wants Jose in Josie's life, it may not be the best move if he's going to be in and out of her life like he is.

The next day, even though Jessica is dreading it, she knows she has to make a call to Jose. She calls him and basically lays out that he needs to be the one to tell Josie that he's moving to Boston. Jose feels like Jessica didn't say anything about him moving in, and that's why he didn't stay. If that was the case, he should have been more persistent. That's your daughter! Jessica, reaching her breaking point, tells him to call Josie and hang up.

Later, the ladies are greeted at Raymond Vineyards by the president Jean-Charles, who offers them great wine to get the day started. He's smooth and handsome to the ladies, and very flirtatious. Andrea calls him a "Tod," a man who can talk you out your drawers! There is a dog winery too called Frenchie Winery, which I'm assuming is just a day kennel. With every word that Jean-Charles says, Mayte is just falling more and more in love with him. You know her main goal is to find a man and get a baby!

Before lunch, the women head to taste some more wines in the barrel room. It's a romantic setting...perfect to be with your all-girl crew haha! Sheree asks a bunch of questions about the wines while the rest of the ladies sip, and Jessica DRINKS. At the beautiful outdoor lunch, they are all reminded of their great lives before they divorced, and how it's different now. They realize how much of a wake up call they had though and they all had to let it go.

For the last night in Napa, the ladies have a special dinner with Jean-Charles and share stories with him.  He does a special toast without glasses, a supposed Burgundian tradition. The ladies all put their hands up and sings with him. They later go to the Red Room, which looks like a private club, for cheese and dessert. Of course, there is more wine too, to the point where Nicole can't take anymore! Jean-Charles reveals that he designed the room inspired a bit by...his wife which quietly shocks the ladies, especially Mayte, since they all thought they were single. Overall, the ladies had a great, great time on their getaway. Every once in a while, you need some time away! Good to see them having fun!

The two go at it.Another Monday gone, another recap of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. Picking up from last week, Ariane, K. Michelle, and Mimi meet up at Ariane's apartment since they didn't get to hang out at K. Michelle's showcase because of the drama going on with Stevie. Mimi tells K. Michelle that Joseline is pregnant by Stevie J, and was even carrying around the girl's pregnancy test in his pocket. Mimi claims that she has had enough and that Stevie is inconsistent. K. Michelle tells Mimi that she can reach out to her, and Ariane thinks it's time she walks away. Mimi wants to move forward for her and her daughter, even claiming on her Twitter that she's done. FINALLY! Good for her. Though I hope she stays true to her word. With love, it's easy to relapse.

Meanwhile, Momma Dee goes over to Scrappy's house, and they talk about his and Erica's relationship. Erica's his baby mama, but he can't see them together anymore. It then comes up that he has a best friend in Shay (Buckey from Flavor of Love 2! When I saw her in the promo last week, I was like Lordddd haha), and that maybe she's the real one for him. Scrappy also tells Momma Dee that Stevie J called Erica out of her name, and she tells him he better handle Stevie, which Scrappy has already planned to do.

Later, we find out that Joseline did go to get her abortion. When Stevie goes over to her apartment, she's still mad that he wouldn't even acknowledge that that's her baby. She asks him has he ever really loved her, to which he replies, "I have a lot of love for you" and a kiss on the cheek. Obviously not the same thing. I kind of felt bad for her for a second, because I know exactly what it feels like to really care about somebody and they're not fully reciprocating. But then I flipped back to reality. This girl is delusional anyway. She's messing with somebody else's man in the hopes that he'll fully become hers. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.

Meanwhile, Erica talks to her mom at her house and thinks everything is oh so great in her and Scrappy's relationship. She wants to be married to him. She has faith that he is not going to mess around anymore even though he's on his own. Her mother is concerned, but Erica tells her that she will be prepared for whatever comes her way, not knowing that, in his mind, Scrappy has already cut her loose.  I honestly think it would have been hilarious if VH1 had edited Erica and Scrappy's scenes with their moms to be playing back and forth to show how they're both thinking COMPLETELY different things about their relationship. I do feel sorry for Erica though.

At Kirk and Rasheeda's house, Rasheeda prepares a romantic dinner for them. She hustles for her career, but she also understands the importance of their marriage and spending quality time together. They have a son together, but Kirk also has four other kids which is a financial strain especially with footing Rasheeda's career bills since she's independent.

Later, Stevie goes to see Mimi, and she goes off on him! He tries to sweet talk her, but Mimi tells him that he was just wrong, point blank period. He asks her how they can fix it, and Mimi can't even deal with it. Stevie tells her that Joseline got an abortion, thinking that makes everything better. Mimi tells him to exit stage left and that she hopes he's happy with Joseline. When Stevie takes a ride with his friend Zino later, Zino gets real with him about his relationship with Mimi. Stevie claims to really want to work things out, but Zino lets him know that if that's true, he needs to learn the word "MONOGAMY," but also focus on his work instead of all of this drama with other women.

Meanwhile, Shay comes over to Scrappy's house, and he tells her about the situation with Stevie J. Shay doesn't think that he should be sticking up for Erica because that's "just his baby mama." So I don't know if he and Erica broke up off camera, an editor missed a scene, or what. I just know Scrappy was really comfortable rubbing Shay down with that sunscreen!

Later, Joseline is doing choreography at the studio (though that had to be dancing she already knew from stripping in my opinion), and Stevie goes over to meet with her. He tells her that she has some studio time for her set up and he's ready to work. Joseline is too, and it seems like they've put everything behind them.  When Scrappy goes to meet Stevie at the studio with Erica, Stevie apologizes before he even opens his mouth. Scrappy tells him how he feels respectfully and Stevie does apologize again. What escalated the situation was Joseline opening her big mouth not knowing what in the world is going in, thinking that Erica's messing with Stevie. Here again, I don't understand this girl. How do you fight so hard for somebody who's not even yours and nowhere close to it?! This causes a fight between the couples, Stevie vs. Scrappy, Erica vs. Joseline. Scrappy and Erica go crazy while Joseline still talks trash and Stevie tries to push her in the car to get away.

Rasheeda, Mimi, and K. Michelle meet up with Erica two days after the fight. Of course, the other ladies already have heard about the fight, and Erica gives them the play by play. Erica plans to meet up with Joseline and go off on her again. Meanwhile, at Joseline's apartment, Stevie talks with her about the situation, telling her basically that if she hadn't jumped in, all of that wouldn't have happened, which is true! I don't understand why Joseline is going so hard for him! Crazy.

Jessica reveals to the women about Jose's new move.

Another week of Hollywood Exes! I'm really loving this show! Picking up from last episode, Nicole and Jessica go get some frozen yogurt and discuss Jessica's situation with Jose possibly moving in. Jessica is determined to put him to work to make him make up for the past seven years that he has not been in Josie's life. Nicole doesn't think she should do it, but supports her regardless.

Meanwhile, Sheree meets with her chemist to work on her product Whoop Ash, which is a body butter/moisturizer that Sheree made in her kitchen to get rid of ash. However, she finds that the smell is off and the substance leaves skin greasy. She wants the formula to be exactly right so she can go into production.

Later, Nicole and Sheree meet up with Mayte and talk about the matchmaker. They don't really think that she needs one, but decide that maybe the matchmaker sees things that we don't really see in terms of dating other people. However, Nicole does say that she is going to think of someone who she could set Mayte up with!

We all know that Andrea wants to get started in dance over in L.A., so she goes over with Mayte to ballet class to get a feel for the dance community here. She wants to start teaching some burlesque type dances. She closed down her studio in Chicago, and wants to get a place here. Mayte encourages her to go to Millennium, which is where all the celebs go to learn choreography.

Meanwhile, Sheree drives every weekend to see her husband Terrell in San Diego. She doesn't consider moving to San Diego an option right now because her business and her son is in L.A. Even though the traveling is taking a toll, Sheree is determined to make this work. However, Terrell feels that her place is with him, though she feels like he can preach anywhere and wants him to come to L.A. I have to say, it's weird that she only sees her husband two or three days out of the week. I can see that for a boyfriend, but that man is your husband, and you don't live with him? And she made the choice not to? I can see that tearing up their relationship.

Later, we find that Nicole has her jewelry line "FLP by Nicole Murphy." She, Mayte, and Mayte's friend Big Sexy (who plays security for them) go to for an African man who sells great African beads. Only hitch is that he sells them out of a van, and is liable to be anywhere in L.A. Eventually, she finds him on the side of the road in a sketchy neighborhood, but it's worth it to get the beads. She mixes the beads with gems to get an earthy feel that celeb customers likeTrey Songz, Snoop Dogg, Russell Brand, and more love!

Mayte and Sheree go for a hike with her pregnant dog Boogie. Mayte talks with her about still being scarred from losing her baby so long ago. She wants to try to have another baby, but is scared that she will get the same result. Meanwhile, Tony and Andrea work to get Andrea a spot in the Millennium studio.

Later, Nicole and Jessica meet at a bar to have some girl talk. After seeing some jewelry Eddie gave Nicole a long time ago, Jessica asks how did Eddie propose to her. The proposal was apparently wack. Eddie came into their bedroom, sat on the bed, and gave her the ring box and said "Let's get married." However, Jessica's story was definitely worse. Jose apparently had his pinky ring made into a ring for her (can we say CHEAP) and just gave it to her like, "Here. Let's do this." Where was the romance, gentlemen?! Geez...

The next day, Andrea and Tony go to meet the owner of Millennium, Robert,  to see about Andrea teaching a master class at the studio. Because Millennium doesn't offer burlesque classes, Andrea has something new to offer. They want to work on marketing and public relation strategies to get the class out to the public, with Tony promising to work with Robert side by side to make Andrea's dream a reality.

Later, Jessica goes to meet a therapist Dr. Michelle about moving in with Jose. Jessica admits she always get sucked in by him because he was her first love, but ended it because she caught Jose cheating a lot. Dr. Michelle says that it's unfair the position that he puts her in regularly, and asks why does she let him in? Jessica thinks that maybe she might be in love with him still. Dr. Michelle doesn't want her to put herself in a compromising position like that, which gets Jessica really rethinking them moving in together.

Later that day, Nicole and her business partner Yolanda have a public showing of the jewelry at Church Boutique and invited the girls out. All of the ladies are impressed with the fabulous jewels, which were stunning! The showcase turned out to be a great success.

The next day, Mayte and Andrea go for a walk on the beach. Andrea is stressed about her dance class because she is afraid of failure. She doesn't want to be known as R. Kelly's wife for the rest of her life, but just wants to dance. However, she is afraid that she won't make it here. Mayte eventually talks again about her baby that passed, and said that one day it clicked for her that she can't be angry anymore about her situation, which gets Andrea thinking about her own bitterness towards being just R. Kelly's ex-wife. She has to get up and do something about it, and really make a name all her own.

Later, Jessica meets with Mayte and Sheree. She shares some bad news about a phone call she got from Jose. Jose says he got a job in Boston and that's where he's going, which is going to be a huge disappointment to Josie. He got everybody's hopes up that he was going to be a great father, and really be there for his daughter, and now he's going full on across the country? Douchebag. It's like he's not even trying to make things work!

Make sure you check out Hollywood Exes every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET only on VH1!

Earlier in the week, rumors surfaced that Frank Ocean was gay from a blogger that had heard Frank’s upcoming Channel Orange album. Apparently he had used the word "him" instead of "her" on a few tracks in reference to his own love story.

Early this morning, Frank posted a letter to his Tumblr titled, ‘Thank You’s’ basically saying that there was some truth in the reports. The letter, which was written in December 2011, details Frank's story of meeting a guy when he was 19 and eventually falling in love. It was his very first love and that love is what inspired the lyrics of quite a few of his songs.  Check out the letter below!

"Whoever you are, wherever you are… I’m starting to think we are a lot alike. Human beings spinning on blackness. All wanting to be seen, touched, heard, paid attention to. My loved ones are everything to me here. In the last year or 3, I’ve screamed at my creator. Screamed at clouds in the sky. For some explanation. Mercy maybe. For peace of mind to rain like manna somehow. 4 Summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that Summer and the Summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile. I’d hear his conversation and his silence.. Until it was time to sleep. Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping. No negotiating with the feeling. No choice. It was my first love. It changed my life. Back then, my mind would wander to the women I had been with. The ones I cared for and thought I was in love with. I reminisced about the sentimental songs I enjoyed when I was a teenager. The ones I played when I experienced a girl too quickly. Imagine being thrown from a plane. I wasn’t in a plane though. I was in a Nissan Maxima. The same car I packed up with bags and drove to Los Angeles in. I sat there and told my friend how I felt. I wept as the words left my mouth. I grieved for them, know I could never take them back for myself. He patted my back. He said kind things. He did his best, but he wouldn’t admit the same. He had to go back inside soon. I was late and his girlfriend was waiting for him upstairs. He wouldn’t tell me the truth about his feelings for me for another 3 years. I felt like I’d only imagined reciprocity for years. Now imagine being thrown from a cliff. No. I wasn’t on a cliff. I was still in my car telling myself it was gonna be fine and to take deep breaths. I took the breaths and carried on. I kept up a peculiar friendship with him because I couldn’t imagine keeping up my life without him. I struggled to master myself and my emotions. I wasn’t always successful.

The dance went on.. I kept the rhythm for several Summers after. It’s Winter now. I’m typing this on a plane back to Los Angeles from New Orleans. I flew home for another marred Christmas. I have a windowseat. It’s December 27, 2011. By now, I’ve written two albums. This being the second. I wrote to keep myself busy and sane. I wanted to create worlds that were rosier than mine. I tried to channel overwhelming emotions. I’m surprised at how far all of it has taken me. Before writing this, I’d told some people my story. I’m sure these people kept me alive. Kept me safe… sincerely. These are the folks I wanna thank from the floor of my heart. Everyone of you knows who you are.. Great humans. Probably angels. I don’t know what happens now, and that’s alright. I don’t have any secrets I need kept anymore. There’s probably some small sh*t still, but you know what I mean. I was never alone, as much as I felt like it..As much as I still do sometimes. I never was. I don’t think I ever could be. Thanks. To my first love, I’m grateful for you. Grateful that even though it wasn’t what I had hoped for and even though it was never enough, it was. Some things never are…And we were. I won’t forget you. I won’t forget the Summer..I’ll remember who I was when I met you. I’ll remember who you were and how we both changed and stayed the same. I’ve never had more respect for life and living than I have right now. Maybe it takes a near death experience to feel alive. Thanks. To my mother, you raised me strong. I know I’m only brave because you were first…So thank you. All of you. For everything good. I feel like a free man. If I listen closely, I can hear the sky falling too.
-Frank

Good for him! I know that must've been a hard, hard thing to do, especially being a part of not only the black community, but also the R&B and hip hop arena. As a whole, we aren't as accepting as other cultures, at least what I've personally seen and read (I've already had to unfollow people for blatantly rude comments on him on my timeline...we can agree to disagree but no need to be ignorant). It was a brave thing for him to admit his feelings. Hopefully this opens the door for other rappers and singers to possibly do the same! But I also hope that people don't treat him differently either. Point blank period, Frank Ocean is one of the top singers-songwriters that is breaking into this industry. His music has a message, and tells beautiful stories, and I'm hoping that people see that instead of just his sexuality.

Another week of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta! Picking up from last week, Joseline and Stevie contiinue their conversation about the fact that she's pregnant and that it's probably Stevie's kid. Stevie doubt it's his, and Joseline plans to get money from him for the baby just for not believing her. She supposedly sees who he is really is now, and doesn't want him anymore just that quick. Whatever.

Meanwhile, K Michelle meets with producer B. Cox about her upcoming music showcase, which is important to her brand as it will be a way of reintroducing her to record executives and others. Industry people think that she's crazy after hearing how she yelled and screamed at Jive Records over spent money with no new music for her. However, B. Cox tells her she has to get past the past. People are terrified that she is going to go crazy on them if things don't go her way, but she has to prove to them that she is an amazing artist that is willing to work to better her career.

At Momma Dee's house, Scrappy talks to her about moving out from Erica's house. He's still tripping about Erica not being affectionate enough with him. Momma Dee wonders if he still is going to be with her, and he says he'll try, but he's leaving if things don't work out. Apparently the logic is that he should be with other chicks who will give him what he wants than to be with one chick who doesn't give him that affection (though I think you want to work on finding one chick that will give you that affection, but that's just me).

The next day, Rasheeda meets with Kirk and they talk about her being so late to the video. Rasheeda did it purposely, apparently because she feels shortchanged as an artist, but all that did was cut into the already small budget. As I've said from the beginning, I don't think that them being husband and wife and then manager and artist is really working for them. Rasheeda should probably think about finding new management, management that will not only be willing to work with her budget and try to get her more support, but also management who she doesn't have to fight with at home over her career.

That night, Erica is having second thoughts about Scrappy moving out, and she surprises him with a romantic night with flowers, candles, champagne, the works to try to convince him to stay. However he still wants to go, but also work on their relationship. It was cute that Erica did that for him, though.

The next night, K. Michelle invites all of the ladies (minus Joseline of course) to her showcase. She sings a new song "Bury My Heart." She is very talented and impresses the audience. During the showcase, Karlie drops the bomb that there is another girl that Stevie's been messing with at the party. Mimi is beyond tired of hearing about all of these different girls, and brushes Stevie off when he approaches her. When Erica started mocking Stevie's advances, especially because she thought that he was just some random dude, the two got into an argument with Stevie getting disrespectful, calling her a b*tch.

The next day, Mimi talks to Stevie about going off on Erica, and he says he wants to apologize because he was drunk and heated. He talks about her ladies spreading rumors that he was cheating with this woman at the showcase, but, of course, doesn't admit that he's messed with other women. Just to clear things up, Stevie J and Mimi have not been together for 15 years. They've known each other for that long, but have been together for six, though the time that they were together doesn't justify his behavior. Point blank period, if you are committed to someone, you are committed to that one person. Mimi doesn't want artists or other women to come in between their relationship, but I think that it's time she just let it go.

Back at her apartment, Joseline meets up with her neighbor and best friend Reuben to talk about the baby. She feels that if it wasn't for Stevie, she would still be in her old life in the strip club. Apparently, Stevie has repeatedly threatened her career if she told anyone that they were messing with each other. Reuben advises her to talk to Mimi and Stevie about all of this, and asks her what she'll do about the baby. "I'm just gonna have to do what I have to do," she responds, implying that she's going to get an abortion.

Later, Erica tells Scrappy about the incident that went down with Stevie J. Scrappy automatically gets mad for him getting out of line like that, and makes plans to approach Stevie later on. TROUBLE! Meanwhile, K. Michelle goes to visit Ariane to get her opinion on the showcase. She also reveals that Miss Karlie went up to B. Cox and said he signed the wrong artist, and that he should sign her. What I want to know is, what does Karlie Redd do?! We saw her rap in...I forgot what language she was rapping to Stevie J in. However, she hasn't done anything substantial. At least I and others have heard of K. Michelle before this show and listened to her. Who are you to go up to anyone's producer and tell them they're working with the wrong artist, like you're somebody? Girl, sit!

K. Michelle meets with Jeff about possibly managing her She still books shows, but it's not enough. She asks him to manage her, because she knows he knows what to do. He tells him that if they do decide to work together, she has to take responsibility for herself and her brand.

Later on in the night, Joseline meets with Mimi and she tells her that she's pregnant by Stevie. Mimi's dingbat behind doesn't want to believe that it's his baby, saying that Joseline has probably been messing with other dudes. When Stevie texts Joseline, Mimi tells her to tell him to come up here, which he does. Stevie's dumb behind was carrying the pregnancy test in her pocket, and surprisingly admits that he had sex with her a month ago. Mimi walks away, though a little too calmly for my liking. She leaves Joseline and Stevie to get into their own little argument about Joseline running to Mimi about the situation without him. This entire pregnancy situation is a mess and a half!

Every year since I started Spotlight, I have been recapping the BET Awards, giving my two cents on BET's biggest event of the year. So, of course, I had to keep up the tradition!

Last year's 2011 BET Awards, hosted by Kevin Hart, was pretty good, at least to me. I have come not to expect jaw-dropping amazing shows from BET, but they do good. This show was good too. Not amazing, but good. From the different performances to special appearances to the Whitney tribute, the show was good to watch. I have my negatives, of course, but the good ultimately outweighed the bad. Check out my review of the BET Awards 2012 below!

As always the pre-show kicked things off. Hosted by Rocsi and Terrence J (their last since they're leaving 106 & Park), along with Big Tigger and Tamar Braxton, we got to see celebs hit the red carpet, as well as different performances from artists who haven't quite reached the main stage (some for good reason). There were performances from MGK, the OMG Girlz, and others. It's just the pre-show, so I didn't pay too too much attention. I wasn't interested in most of the music, just the celebrities that the hosts talked to.

Common Centric Award BET Awards Pre ShowThe first award of the night, the Centric Award, was given to Common. There was also a premiere of Willow Smith's new video for her song, "I Am Me," which she said symbolizes who she is as a person and an artist, and how she doesn't look to others to validate her and her decisions. While I'm not feeling her overall look, she's experimenting with different styles and finding herself I guess, so all power to her.

Now on to the main show. Now, throughout the ENTIRE pre-show, they kept hyping up this opening performance, saying that it was one that we didn't want to miss. I figured it would be Kanye West and it was with the rest of GOOD Music. From the way they talked about it, I was expecting something MAJOR. "Mercy" is a good song, but the performance itself didn't get me hype like that. Kanye also performed "Too Cold," but again, it wasn't live to me.

Next, the show's host Samuel L. Jackson came out with his own mix to "Ni**as In Paris" with Spike Lee. Spike FREAKING Lee. They were a hot mess with that! And Spike, you don't ever get to say anything to Tyler Perry about coonery and buffoonery ever again, because that's exactly what you gave tonight. Sam, overall as a host, did not impress me. He's a legend in film, I felt like he was invisible the entire night. He wasn't memorable.

Meanwhile Best Group went to Jay-Z and Kanye for obvious reasons. Though I wasn't in love with the performance, their album was great. Usher then took the stage with "Climax." A little pitchy, but I love that song! Next, Taraji P. Henson announced Best Actor is Kevin Hart . Congrats to him! After,
it was announced that Serena Williams and Kevin Durant took Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year.

Next, Cedric the Entertainer announced Best New Artist which went to Big Sean who brought his mom out as his date, and shouted her out on stage.

BET had the gospel segment earlier than usual, with Amber Bullock, Yolanda Adams, Y'anna Crawley, and Jessica Reedy performing the gospel hit "You Brought the Sunshine." These ladies KILLED! Nothing like a gospel song! Afterwards, newlywed Meagan Good presented Best Male R&B Artist to Chris Brown, who kept his speech short, sweet, and to the point! Definitely was afraid that he was going to say something smart, especially with this diss track about Drake coming out, but he humbly accepted it and kept it moving.

After a performance from Charles Perry, a part of BET's Music Matters program, Nicki Minaj hit the stage with "Champion" and "Beez In The Trap." No "Starships." Guess she had to get hard since it is BET, but she did a good job. Then one of the greatest moments of the night for me as a fan was when Slaughterhouse announced the Best Collaboration Award which went to WALE AND MIGUEL for "Lotus Flower Bomb!" I've been a major fan since 2008, and I've seen him go higher and higher every year. For him to win a BET Award was a major moment in his career! Now of course, many said that he shouldn't have won, since BeyoncĂ© was nominated, and Jay and Kanye, among others. But people don't realize that even though I'm sure they're grateful to be recognized for their work, they no longer really need a BET Award to validate their careers! If they get it, they get it. If they don't, they don't.  So let my man have his moment!

The funniest part was when BET came back with the famous Real Husbands of Hollywood skit from last year! This year it featured Kevin Hart again, along with Faizon Love, Anthony Anderson, Fabolous, and Samuel L. Jackson. This was the funniest thing that Sam Jackson was a part of all night! And I found out that the skit is actually going to be a show on BET next spring!

After, LaLa Anthony presented Yolanda Adams the Best Gospel Artist Award, where Yolanda made a good point to tell all of the people in the room to "use their gift responsibly!" We were then blessed by a classic performance from D'Angelo, who killed it! Mindless Behavior and Mike Epps then presented Best Female R&B Artist to BeyoncĂ©!!! When BET slipped Mindless Behavior a terrible and tacky Lauryn Hill joke about her tax evasion charges, Bey quickly got that in check quickly and politely, saying that it was artists like her that are the reasons why she can be in R&B. Sometimes I want to hit whoever is in charge of the lines at these awards.

Kevin Hart did a little stand up, and presented Maybach Music, who performed Wale's "Bag Of Money" and Meek Mill's "Black Magic!"

After, Busta Rhymes presented Best Female Hip Hop Artist which of course, goes to Nicki Minaj. For the THIRD year in a row. Now, I'm not saying that the girl doesn't deserve an award. She is very talented, and, no matter if you like her or not, she is the biggest female rapper out right now. However, for the past three years, BET has been handing her this award and throwing in people who we haven't heard of, or haven't put out anything, JUST so this girl can get this award. She hasn't had viable competition. I want Missy, Eve, hell, Azealia Banks, and other people who get really make this award a competition rather than just a giveaway. I feel like I say this every year, so I'm done saying it, but I had to get that out.

Tyler Perry later presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Maze feat. Frankie Beverly whose career spans over four decades! Joe, Tyrese, and Faith Evans did a medley of the group's hits, and were amazing! Best performances of the night! Frankie and the band busted out with classics "We Are One" and "Before I Let Go." As I was watching everybody jam in the audience, I was thinking to myself, "Who is going to be getting lifetime achievement awards when I'm in my 40s?" We have some greats, but not enough. Not as many as in the decades before us. And artists coming after 2010? Slacking. Just my opinion.

After the performance, Kerry Washington and Jamie Foxx presented Video of the Year to Jay and Kanye for "Otis." We found out that apparently Jay was supposed to perform with the group, but he and Bey were held up in traffic, which is why they didn't walk the red carpet either. Kerry and Jamie also presented a clip of their new movie "D'Jango Unchained" which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson

Chris Brown, who did not get arrested for gun possession in spite of the rumors, performed "Don't Wake Me Up" and "Turn Up The Music." I was not feeling that spray paint on his body, but he sang live and danced. It wasn't his best performance, but it's Chris! I still love when he takes the stage.

The Humanitarian Award was presented to Rev. Al Sharpton presented by Debra Lee. We may joke about his finger wave or whatever, but he has definitely worked hard over the decades to stand against injustice throughout the country.

BET show photoThroughout the night, there were small tributes to legends like Donna Summer, Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys, Etta James, and more who we lost since last year's Awards. The biggest one of the night--the tribute to Whitney Houston! It was amazing! Mariah Carey spoke on Whitney's vocals and performances, as well as their friend. Monica sang Whitney's hit from The Preacher's Wife, "I Love The Lord,' while Brandy hit the stage singing "I'm Your Baby Tonight" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody". BET got it right. I said to myself, if Brandy and Monica aren't a part of this, as big a role as Whitney played in their lives, it would be a problem. But they got it right!  Her brother Gary Houston performed "Where You Are" and mother Cissy Houston sang "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and I had to break out tissue, especially when cameras flashed to Pat and Bobbi Kristina crying on each other's shoulders. The cast of Waiting To Exhale, Angela Bassett, Lela Rochon, and Loretta Devine, said a few words before Chaka Khan ripped the stage with "I'm Every Woman" which Whitney covered. It was a great tribute to me! As always, you can't please everybody, with many saying on Twitter that they wanted

Terrence J and Rocsi and a fan presented the Viewer's Choice Award to Mindless Behavior which was a shock and a half because they beat out Wale, Jay and Kanye, and Beyoncé. But I stick to what I said before. Jay, Kanye, and Bey are not pressed over a BET Award. So let the babies have it and feel on top of the world. Everybody wants that.

Brandy and Lauren London and announced that Lauryn is on The Game as it goes into its six season. I don't see the show without Melanie and Derwin, but get your paycheck Lauren. Still think this should be the last season, though. The pair announced Video Director of the Year went to BeyoncĂ© and Alan Ferguson (Solange's boyfriend).

Tyga performed with Cash Out for the final performance before going into his hit "Rack City" to end the night. The final award went to Chris Brown, who won the Fandemonium Award for the third year in a row! And thus, the end of the awards! Overall, it was a pretty good show. I had my issues, but BET did well. In my mind, no award will ever be worse than the 2009 one, so I've been pretty good with BET since. I liked this show...a lot of exciting moments! What did you think of the BET Awards 2012?
