Happy New Year's Eve everyone! HUGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS TO END 2012! Just last night, Kanye West announced that he and Kim Kardashian are expecting a baby! Yes, you read right! Kim is pregnant with the couple's first child!

Kanye revealed the news onstage during a show in Atlantic City Sunday night, asking the crowd to
"make some noise" for his "baby mama." Of course, the news spread (and continues to spread) throughout Twitter, even from members of the Kardashian clan as well. Kim's sister, Kourtney Kardashian, said she wanted to "shout from the rooftops with joy," mom Kris Jenner tweeted a  simple, "Oh BABY BABY BABY!" and Kim's younger sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom retweeted her hubby Lamar Odom who said, "I'm excited for Kanye and my sister! There's nothing like bringing life into this world! Let's keep Gods blessings coming!"

The reality star is reportedly 12 weeks along, so she should have the baby around late spring/early summer! It's definitely clear that Kimye Baby Watch will be the main focus for 2013 (maybe even beating out William and Kate?)! Though Kim is technically still married to Kris Humphries, she is moving on with life. I think that she and Kanye are genuinely happy, so why not start a family? I would say Kanye should also put a ring on it, but she kinda has to wait to get the other one legally off first. Congrats to them and the whole Kardashian-Jenner, G.O.O.D. Music clan!

What do you think of Kim and Kanye having a kid?

Can't believe that last night was the last Jerzday ever! I've been watching this show from the very beginning, and, as stupid as many people think it is, I'm gonna miss it! Picking up from last week, The house plans a bonfire party on the beach to say goodbye to the Shore. Vinny and Pauly go get a bunch of wood Vinny pushes the wood all the way to the beach, while Pauly follows him in the truck! The house brings chairs, preps drinks, and finally gets ready to party! With friends and foods, the cast has an amazing time to end their time. Roger and Jionni eventually get there, and give flowers to their girls! The guys play football and Jionni covers Mike who is in "the best shape of his life." However, little short Jionni ends up intercepting the ball from him!

During the bonfire, Sammi talks to her parents about her relationship with Ronnie, and how far they have come. Her mom asks what's next for them, and she tells them that they plan to move in together which brings out laughter from both of her parents. They are both unsure of their relationship, but hope that they can pull through. Ronnie's dad tells him to enjoy it, but is kind of skeptical about everything too. And they have a right to be! Sammi and Ronnie's relationship hasn't exactly been a walk in the park, but hopefully they stick together.

The next day, the house head to the Shore Store for their last shift ever. During their shift, they talk over their memories on the boardwalk and working there. Later, when Jenni and Sam go tanning, they find that Paula left some cakes for Mike for his birthday. Why are you doing this Paula? He don't want you! The girls take it home for Mike, but it's just a little weird that Paula has this planned for him. Pauly jokes that Paula might have poisoned the cakes, but ends up eating a piece with Mike.

That night, after the girls go out, Pauly and Vinny plan to prank Sam for her little stunt locking them out on the balcony a few weeks back. Vinny steals her and Ronnie's air bed, but manages to pop a hole in it! They put it back in their room like nothing happened, but, of course, However, Ronnie tries to inflate the bed and can't because there's a whole in it! But then he gets mad at Sam for pulling a prank on the guys in the first place, which is stupid, but okay.

The next day, Sammi is over the whole thing and plans for Mike and Pauly's birthday. However, Ronnie is still clearly pissed off, and it's super awkward. She's busy making cakes and cookies, and Ronnie feels like she should have apologized to him. For what, I don't exactly know. However, the house goes up to enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks for the birthdays and enjoy themselves.

That night, Sammi and Ronnie have a conversation about the day. Ronnie is upset for something that Sammi had nothing to do with honestly. Pauly and Vinny planned the prank. The rest of the house watch the drama from the living room. Sammi tells him that if he feels that way, they should break up. Ronnie thinks that she should have sucked it up and apologized. For once, Sammi is actually in the right! She's over this whole thing, and walks away, saying good night and that she loves him with no response. However, later, he apologizes and they make up.

The last day, the house plans to GTL for the last time. At the tanning salon, an employee tells Sammi, Ronnie, and Vinny that some dude's balls were on the cake, and they shouldn't have eaten it! She even shows them a picture, which shocks everybody! I mean, who knows what else happened to the cake?! They tell Mike in the car, and he just can't believe that Paula would do that! They tell Pauly at the house, and he's just in shock, gets mad and wants retaliation! Even Deena had a piece, the one time she decides to splurge in the house! I don't care what happens, you don't mess with people's food! Mike calls her up to see what was what, and she acts like she couldn't hear him. It was all fake, and Mike ends up breaking the duck phone! RIP.

That night, the house sits on the deck just sharing memories about their time in the house. Everybody thought what did they get into from the first day!  They bring Snooki's goofiness and isolation from the beginning, and a dude punching her in the face, which actually ended up bringing them closer! And Deena's entrance in the house and getting naked in front of Mike the first night! And the time when Pauly and Jenni used to flirt, and then she revealed she had a boyfriend! I forgot about some of this! It's clear that Jersey Shore has impacted them in a way that nobody will ever get, and they are a family for life.

The next day, Pauly wakes them up with a nice bang, banginig pots and pans to get everybody up, even next door at Snooki's! Mike and Jenni make breakfast for them all. It's very emotional for them clearly. After breakfast, they start the packing process for the last time. They leave every summer, but this time they're not coming back. After they load up their cars, they stand together in the front of the house and cry and hug together, and then go their separate ways. All good things must come to end, but we all know that we will see them plenty in the future! Shoot Snooki and Jenni's show comes back in a couple of weeks! No word if Pauly's spinoff is coming back, but Vinny has his own show where he's bringing celebrities over to his family house to talk, eat, and chill! I will definitely miss Jersey Shore, but excited to see what happens with the cast in the future.

Finally, the Final Challenge for Battle of the Seasons! Picking up from last week, after weeks of challenges, the final teams (San Diego, Brooklyn, and the two-member team of Las Vegas) start the final by jumping out of a plane! It's definitely adrenaline-pumping! All of the teams have to run to a checkpoint, and already Devyn and Sam are struggling to run. Of course, everybody's yelling at their slowest members, because it's not a great way to start for any of them.

The first checkpoint is to align numbers on rocks in a grid so that, when added in every direction, you will always get the number 15. The time limit is 20 minutes. San Diego and Vegas struggle to Brooklyn is last to get into the puzzle, but the puzzle puts them ahead! They run to a helicopter where they race on in first place! San Diego finally got it, placing in second. Las Vegas' time runs out, putting them into third.

The second checkpoint is Rung Out, where you have to toss a ring on a hook. If you miss you have to take a shot of hot, nasty camel's milk. It's harder than it looks! Sarah finally gets it for Team Brooklyn, and they run off. Zach gets it for San Diego, which leaves Vegas to figure it out for themselves. Devyn struggles to run which slows their team down. You're really only as strong as your weakest player, and it's clear that Devyn is messing up Brooklyn's pace. Trishelle and Dustin finally get past Rung Out, but are so far behind

The next checkpoint, Get Tired, requires the teams to build a structure with pipes and ropes to move eight tires (four for the two members of Vegas). Brooklyn takes off with their tires by rolling them on the ground, but San Diego put them on their backs which puts the team right on Brooklyn's heels! San Diego eventually passes them. Trishelle, of course, struggles
Come to find out, the smartest team of the bunch, Brooklyn, was carrying an extra tire! Vegas eventually passes them, putting them in last place. The teams all eventually get to their helicopters where they are flown to the next part of the challenge. It's more running for them to the next check point, but this time it's across sand dunes!

After a long day in the desert, the teams are finished for the night, and get a chance to rest. Only catch is that one person gets to sleep at a time, while the other members stand inside a box holding a leash for a camel. You get a one minute penalty if you step outside the box. While playing tic tac toe in the sand, Devyn's foot accidentally goes over the line, but everybody's so cold, tired, and delirious, they don't even care!

The next morning, TJ rolls through on a four-wheeler to introduce the next day. San Diego gets an 11-minute head start, Vegas gets a 6-minute head start, and Brooklyn gets left in the dust. However, Sam is so slow, there's a chance that the other teams can catch up. The next checkpoint, Hallucination Nation, requires the teams to find numerical values from letters in a list of words to unlock a safe. San Diego has a decent lead, but Vegas is right behind them. Brooklyn is still in third.

In the next point, Sand Shift, the teams use sieves to put sand into their sieves. Sand is blowing everywhere, which makes it hard. Devyn is literally dead in this challenge, so Brooklyn might as well be out. Suddenly, Trishelle and Dustin get a fire under them to race San Diego to the top of a dune. Frank ends up pushing Sam causing her to fall, which pisses her off. However, the thought of $250,000 gets her back on track. San Diego ends up getting to the pole first, which makes me mad a little bit, because they irritated me the whole season, but they killed it, so I can't hate. Trishelle and Dustin wins second place, getting $50,000 for Team Vegas. Brooklyn comes in third, winning $40,000 for their team. Though I wanted and pegged them to win, it's still great that they finished together. Overall, it was a crazy Challenge this season. Just hope that MTV gets a few more veterans for next season!

The final season of Jersey Shore is almost over (*tears*). Picking up from last episode, Roger calls Jenni and tells her that Jionni told him about the guys in the house hanging out with him the night. All the boys apparently pointed the finger at Jenni about her talking about Jionni not being around for Snooki. It causes a quick ruckus with the boys and Jenni, but it's all just he said/she said. She calls Jionni and gets his version and finds out how bad her talking about him offended him. Jionni had been up there a lot to see Snooki apparently without any of them them knowing! Jenni apologizes to him, and they quickly get over the drama.

Later, Mike reveals that he was a stripper through college. The house wants him to show them what he's got sometime before they leave! That night, the house gets ready to go out to Karma. Paula comes out too, wearing a skin right dress perhaps to impress Mike and show him what he's missing! A girl comes up to him and basically invites him to have sex with her, which, of course, Mike is down with. However, Paula sees it and spazzes out on him! She needs to let it go! If a man wants to be with you, he'll be with you. If not, oh well! Move on with your life. Mike goes on about his business and finds another girl. Mike is on high alert with Paula right around the corner. She comes around the corner out of nowhere, making it awkward for Mike. He decides to bring the girl home anyway, but she is obviously sloppy wasted, and Mike sends her on her way. Meanwhile, Pauly goes to his room to get in it in really quick with some girl, and ends up exchanging numbers with her.

The next day, Snooki comes over to hold auditions for Deena's new Meatball. They go to get toys for their auditions and prizes for their winner! They comes up with rules and head to EJ's to ask people to audition, where they find girls crazy enough to do all this stuff! They take tequila shots, as well as body shots off an old man, and wand people and say "MERP!" It's all very hilarious! They end up picking three final girls to be Meatballs for Deena! Meanwhile, Sammi and Ronnie go out on a little date to spend time together. Finally, they're able to truly connect without all this fighting! They plan to move in together, which will be interesting for them. Sammi even talks about having kids! They go to play mini golf and are very competitive with each other. Overall, it was a nice little date, and it's good to see them actually growing up and being a good couple.

Back on the boardwalk, Deena decides to bring home all the Meatballs she picked up. It's all so crazy. Pauly is a little annoyed since it is their last weekend at the house together, and he wants them to just party together. Jenni is irritated too that these Meatballs are using her stuff to get ready! Then there's this Scottish girl that is just off the wall! Finding random Meatballs on the boardwalk may not have been a great thing. Everyone heads out to Merge together. Deena's fake Meatballs eventually go home, which the rest of the house is overjoyed about. They have the best time together for their final weekend at the Jersey Shore!

The next morning, the roommates talk about what to do for their final days at the Shore. It's good to see them all just enjoying themselves. Ron and Sam cook a last Sunday dinner for everyone. Mike plans to do a little strip routine and practices with the guys. He comes up with a ghetto boxer routine with his name being Vito Dorado. The guys do the works on the house, bringing out a smoke machine, Pauly getting on the turntables, and Ron even bringing out handcuffs for Jenni! Pauly announces "Vito," who then does a NUMBER on Jenni! The house plays along throwing fake money at him! Overall, one of the funniest moments of Jersey Shore history!

The SERIES FINALE of Jersey Shore will air this Thursday at 10 p.m. ET followed immediately by the LIVE reunion so be sure to check it out!

I apologize for the serious delay in these recaps! A lot of things going on last week, but here is the recap for last week's episode of Battle of the Seasons (Jersey Shore one will be up soon too).

Picking up from last episode, the remaining four teams (Vegas, Cancun, San Diego and Brooklyn) leaves Turkey behind and heads to Namibia, Africa, to fight to keep their spot in the finale! Two people are for sure going home, so the teams are definitely nervous! The house in Africa is SICK! Later, they all get a clue from TJ saying: "Tomorrow's your last shot to make it into the final! Good luck!" The challenge is definitely important for Brooklyn to win because they know they will be thrown into the Arena if they don't, since Cancun and San Diego are in alliance with each other).

The next day, the teams play "Sling Shot." The game is complete with a four-wheeler, a ramp, and of course, water. The teams all have to assign a driver and a jumper (teams of four will assign two to go twice). The driver will take off with the jumper in tow, who will then be launched off of the ramp into the water, and swim as fast as they can to the dock to ring a bell. Then the jumper will swim back in to swim to shore and cross the finish line. With the teams of four, their times will be averaged.

Vegas surprisingly kills it first, setting the tone for the other competitors. Dustin is extremely winded and sick from swimming, so it's probably going to be harder than anyone thought! It's definitely not the easiest challenge. San Diego's four-wheeler stalls, which makes it a farther swim for Frank, unfortunately. The team that lost with a trip right into the Arena is Cancun, with San Diego falling not too far in front of them. The Power Team going into the finals is Las Vegas, which nobody expected! They win their first challenge, and the most important one to win at that!

The high from Trishelle and Dustin's win is short-lived, however, when TJ makes them pick the second team to head in right there on the spot! No surprise, they pick San Diego to go against Cancun, and pick them to play Strategy. With that decision, Brooklyn also makes it into the finals! It's a great way to break up the Arena. It's clear that Frank and Ashley need to prove themselves in the Arena, so they will most likely be going in. Back at the house, Sam makes fun of Frank's major fail at the Challenge, which, of course, pisses him off.

Surprisingly, Sarah gives Jonna advice for the Arena, hoping that Cancun will send two members of San Diego home so that Brooklyn will be the only team left with four people. Jonna and Derek face Ashley and Frank in "Knot So Fast" for the final Arena. Instead of there being domes, the challenge uses pyramids. First, the teams will tangle their pyramid with rope as best as they can, and then switch pyramids to solve the other team's. It sucks for Zach to watch because he's a part of Team San Diego, but still has feelings for Jonna and wants her to do well too. Vegas and Brooklyn of course are yelling advice at Cancun so they can send home Frank and Ashley. However, San Diego pull it out, sending Jonna and Derek home. TJ congratulates the remaining teams of gaining their spots in the finals.

Back at the house, the teams get new gear for the finals the next day, showing that this challenge is going to be a tough one! Trishelle and Chet talk about their team's weaknesses, and contemplate what will happen in the Challenge. Everyone's nervous, because there's no telling what will happen! The next day, the teams all head out to the desert. There's four planes and three helicopters up ahead, which puts everyone into suspense about what they're getting into! TJ introduces the challengetelling them them that they will be jumping out of those planes from 10,000 feet to start things off, exciting some team members and terrifying others! They will all have to dig deep to make it to the finish line to win any money!

By now, everyone knows of the tragedy that happened in Newtown, Connecticut. A shooting spree by a mentally ill gunman happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School, killing 20 children (ages range from 5-10, though no names have yet been released) as well as 6 adults (including the school principal and psychologist). The gunman also killed his mother beforehand, and apparently took his own life. More details are forthcoming.

I have been struggling with this all day yesterday and now. Even as I type, I am flipping channels to hear more on this tragedy. Forgive me for not getting up the recap posts that I needed to. They will be up hopefully later today, but this is far more important to me right now. Prayers go up to the families of these victims, especially these 20 little babies, as well as the people of Newtown who are struggling to come to grips with this. Prayers to President Obama, Congress, and our other officials who need to take ACTION on developing some type of stricter plan on gun control in this country. This world is highly unpredictable. Shocked, disgusted, and saddened.
I've been blessed to do many spotlights of upcoming artists, producers, designers, etc.,  since the blog started, and will always continue to do so! (Email me for your feature!)

Excited to introduce you all to another great artist! Rapper Hollywood calls his hometown of Brooklyn the "recipe" to his music and life, repping his city to the fullest! He got his start in music at a young age, participating in his school choir, singing for a few groups, and even had a role in A Christmas Carol on Broadway! However, he started getting serious about rapping in about ninth or tenth grade, eventually getting into battling. "Older dudes on my block used to rhyme, and one day, a few of us younger cats were just sucked in," the rapper says. "We chose sides and joined the battles." He battled everyone anywhere from the lunchroom between classes to around his block. "Guess once I started, I just couldn't stop," Hollywood laughs.

Hollywood eventually took his music to the next level, developing East Brook Familia in 2010 to promote his career as well as the careers of several rising artists. The group is made up of close friends of his that have been together since childhood. "As part of a graduation requirement, I had to make a business plan, so I used us," Hollywood says. (The rapper holds a bachelor of science degree from Hampton University, and a master's degree in Business Administration from the Metropolitan College of New York. Everybody should have a Plan B). "A group of dudes pushing to promote what we feel is real rap, [but] nowadays EBF is more than just us. All of our supporters are part of the family." he claims.

Inspired by classic and timeless rappers like Biggie, Jay-Z, Fabolous, and Lupe, Hollywood released his first mixtape, 24:7, in November 2010, which was seemingly effortless from the rapper. "There wasn't really any thought process behind it. I had a bunch of random tracks on my laptop. I picked my favorite seven, came up with a mixtape name, cover art, and there you go!" he admitted.

However, his upcoming mixtape,  HBO Vol. 1: My Eastside Story, is completely different. With "HBO" standing for Hollywood's Brooklynz Own, the mixtape will show growth from 24:7. "I wanted this mixtape to be a story, a movie," Hollywood says of the project. "My goal was for everything from the track names to the transitions from track to track to have a movie feel." The mixtape, the first of a three part series, was recorded at Hall of Fame Studios, the studio were Jam Master Jay was killed back in 2002. Audio engineer Teardropz worked with the rapper on the entire project, giving it a better sound with better equipment than 24:7, Hollywood admits. While there's no vocal features, two tracks ("Who I Be" and "Dutchess and Hennessy") features the talent of musician Lawrence "Strings" Williams, who plays bass and electric guitar on the songs. EBF, of course, has been crucial in this upcoming release, promoting it heavily (A listening party is set for December 21 at Hall of Fame Studios on Merrick and Jamaica Ave. in Queens from 8 p.m. to midnight. If you're in the NY area or can make it up there, definitely check it out!)

In terms of his next steps for a career, Hollywood plans to get on the road, and wants to get into college tours with EBF. What does he think separates him from other rappers? He unapologetically does him, and is not the typical rapper one might expect. "I rap. I'm educated. I smoke weed. I sing in church. I love God. I love music," Hollywood claims. "This is me. I'm comfortable with it." He is clearly using the gifts God gave him to create incredible music for listeners!

You can tell from listening to even one of his songs that Hollywood is not only talented, but HUNGRY for this. I stress hunger in this industry because sometimes it's seriously lacking and you can tell through an artist's lyrics, promotion, and overall growth (or lack thereof). We at JWWWD support him because he's like us: he does and says exactly what he wants with his music. So check him out and support! Hollywood is definitely going to be an artist around for a while!

You can connect with Hollywood on his official website, EBF's website, Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, and YouTube! And be sure to check out his mixtape, available now!

Can't believe that the cast of Jersey Shore is about to close the Shore House down for good! Just a few more episodes left! Picking up from last week, at Snooki's baby shower, Vinny goes outside to talk to Jionni man to man about their issues. Jionni has forgiven Vinny for hooking up with Snooki a day after their breakup, but doesn't like the "I'm the father" jokes that Vinny has made in the past. Vinny sincerely apologizes, and Jionni has more respect for him now that they had that talk. And now Vinny gets an invite to the wedding!

When the guys come back in, the guests play baby games and opens up all of the gifts for Snooki. During the shower, Jenni tells Jionni that he better come around more often for his pregnant fiancee  and take care of her. Snooki is so happy about the whole shower, but when Mike tries to talk to her, of course, she gives him the cold shoulder. He knows that eventually he will have to man up and talk to her about the problem.

The next morning, Mike reflects on his past problems with Snooki, and decides it's time to apologize for the things he said to Jionni and to her. He heads to her house to talk to her, and she lets him in, wanting to hear his story. He expresses his deepest apologies. However, Snooki finds it very hard to forgive him because he hurt their friendship and embarrassed Jionni and Snooki as a couple. He wants to save their friendship, because they're so close in character, and have had a lot of good times together. However, it's a lot of damage done. Snooks accepts his apology. Overall, a pretty good talk for people who haven't in over a year, but it's hard to say if there will ever be a friendship like before.

Sammi locks the guys out on the balcony while they're out talking. The guys plan to jump into pillows, right when Sam unlocks the door. Of course, the guys plan to retaliate secretly!

Later, Ronnie, Mike, and Pauly go GTL. It's kind of awkward because Paula works there still. She leaves Mike a little note. Back at the house, Vinny reads the note out loud to the house. It's clear that writing isn't exactly fundamental to her, but she admits that she misses him, and doesn't want him to give up on her. The note actually kind of touches Mike. The biggest surprise of all? Snooki is actually sitting next to him, and participating in the conversation! She's letting go of the anger towards him, realizing that he's a better person now.

That night, the house plans to go out to Aztec while Vinny, who's sick, and Snooki plan to just hang out together. Jenni stays home and goes straight to bed. Snooki and Vinny go out on their scooters and do old people impressions. Meanwhile, Mike struggles to maintain his sobriety at the bar. Paula comes, and tries to get him to hold a drink for a second, which really pisses Mike off. Paula gets annoyed and walks away, but Mike had a right to be upset. You don't give a drink to somebody who's trying to stay sober, not even for a second!  Mike continues to talk to girls while Paula awkwardly stares on. She even come up to him in the middle of a conversation yet again, which shows Mike that they probably won't be together again any time soon! A little later, Vinny and Snooki ride the scooters into the club for a quick appearance (best entrance ever!), but quickly head home. When they leave, some dude calls Snooki fat on the boardwalk, which prompts Vinny to back his scooter up and yell at the dude! I swear, people hate on this cast TOO much. It's a reality show. It's supposed to be stupid and crazy. It's entertainment!

The next day, Snooki calls up a psychic Zen Jen and calls her to prank Deena! Before though, the girls go with Snooki and Jionni to a sonogram to see little Lorenzo! He's so cute, just a little meatball! They notice that, for a baby, he's has a pretty big penis, and is even giving the middle finger in the womb! Everyone gets a laugh from that, but afterwards, Jionni is defensive when it comes to Jenni's statement at the baby shower of him not coming around enough. It's clear that that comment started a little bit of tension between them, but hey, Jenni's just looking out for her friend!

Back at the house, Pauly and Vinny plan to have a guys' night and include Jionni to get to know him better, and what his intentions are for Snooki and their baby! Snooki questions their intentions and tells them to be nice to him! The girls have their own night together. Zen Jen comes in to "bless the house," to prank Deena, who is afraid of ghosts and the supernatural. Zen Jen walks around to "feel the energy," and says she feels chills like there's a ghost in the house, even going as far to say that the ghost hangs near Deena's bed! She is definitely freaked out now!

At their get together, the guys welcome Jionni into the fold, though it's still awkward since both Vinny and Mike have hooked up with Snooki in the past. Jionni talks about his closeness with his family, and the expansion of his ATM business, which will take care of Nicole and the baby. He then starts to talk about Italy. Of course, Jionni is irritated about Mike telling him that he had sex with Nicole, but Snooki told him about the conversation they had and Mike apologizes to him. Again, Jionni gets defensive when the guys bring up him visiting Snooki more, but vows to try his best while still balancing work. In the end though, it was a good gathering, and the guys, even Mike, snag an invite to Jionni's bachelor party! That's a miracle from up above!

Only TWO (tear) more episodes of Jersey Shore EVER! Check out an all new episode next Thursday at 10 p.m. ET only on MTV!
Battle of the Seasons is starting to get REALLY crazy! Picking up from last week, Dustin has planned to quit after Nany and Alton were eliminated at the Arena. The next morning, Chet tries to talk him out of it, and when Dustin thinks things through, he decides to stay to fight for Team Vegas. Meanwhile, Brooklyn plans to gun for Cancun and know that they need to win the next Challenge in order to stay out of the Arena.

The next day's Challenge is called "Force Field." Two team members will share a huge inner tube in girls' and boys' heats (unless you're only a team of two, then you're by yourself!) The object of the game is to push people off the platform into the water. There is a point system: The 1st team out will receive no points. The 2nd team will get 20 points. 3rd will get 40, 4th will get 60, and the last team standing will get 80 points. If you fall down three times, you'll be disqualified.

In the girls' heat, Marie works with Brooklyn to get Vegas, Cancun and San Diego out! Sarah and Devyn end up winning for Team Brooklyn! In the boys' heat, Chet and JD falls three times disqualifying them from the game, which basically screws up the girls' win for Brooklyn moments before. Zach and Frank are the last team standing, automatically winning the Power Team for San Diego. Vegas heads straight to the Arena after coming in last place with points.

Back at the house, San Diego deliberates who they want to send in to face Vegas. It's abundantly clear that overall, this team doesn't think with their head at all. Sam and Zach want to send in St. Thomas, purely based off the fight that happened last week with Marie accidentally pushing Sam down. Because Frank is friends with Marie, he suggests picking the team that could take Vegas out, which could be Brooklyn. San Diego goes out to talk to Brooklyn and St. Thomas. Marie gets irritated really quick because she realizes that they're all just pawns in San Diego's minds right now.

At deliberation, San Diego chooses St. Thomas to go in against Vegas. They also choose Mental which wasn't the game that St. Thomas wanted to do. It's all stupid because if San Diego was thinking STRATEGICALLY, they would have put Brooklyn up and possibly break up their team. That would leave San Diego as being the only team left with four people, which would be a HUGE advantage to them. But that's okay! Leave my favorite team to make it to the final!

That night, the house go out to party, and Marie is over emotional on the bus. It's a little irritating, because this IS a game, and, at the end of the day, everyone is going to do what they think is best for their team and themselves. We can be friends, but I'm ultimately here for my team and to make some money. Marie GOES OFF on Frank and says that she doesn't want to be friends with him. It's just an extremely sour night. Marie continues to go off on the bus with Robb having to restrain her. Back at the house, Marie gets in Sam's face. She turns quickly to JD which gets Robb into it again. They both were just over emotional about the entire thing. It's a competition people!

That night, Vegas and St. Thomas go head to head in "Water Torture." Though Robb and Marie give it their all, ultimately, Dustin and Trishelle win the game! Back at the house, they get a clue from TJ that says that they have a huge challenge ahead of them! "The first part will be just getting there. Pack your bags you're going to Namibia!" Get your passports! The Challenge is headed to AFRICA!

Beyoncé recently revealed that fans will be able to catch an intimate look behind her life in an upcoming HBO documentary, and has dropped the teaser for the film!

The feature-length film, debuting Feb. 16, 2013, will show BeyoncĂ© at her performances, in the studio, at home, and even gives an up-close shot of BeyoncĂ©'s baby bump when she was pregnant with daughter Blue Ivy! “HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity,” said she said of the film. “Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.”

See the teaser below!

As a proud member of the BeyHive, of course, I'm beyond excited! Since she was with Destiny's Child, Beyoncé has notoriously been a very private artist. It was a smart move to keep private matters private, but fans always want to know as much as they can about their favorite artists! For her to be coming out with this movie is MAJOR. This film is definitely one to watch for in the entertainment biz!

Official news from the St. James Palace! Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting a baby!!!

Though rumored for a few days now, the news was officially announced today by the palace. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," the palace said in a statement. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news." The statement continued: "As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter." The duchess was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital today in central London with hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute morning sickness which requires supplementary hydration and nutrients.

Apparently, the child, whether boy or girl, will eventually be heir to the British throne according to new legislation awaiting final approval.  The baby will also be the queen's third great-grandchild.

Congrats to the Royal Family!!!

I've missed watching Battle of the Seasons these past two weeks (read up on the last episode here)! To start this week's episode, San Diego decides to work out together and give some positive and negative things about each other, all to try to strengthen their bond. Later, T.J. sends a clue to the house for the next day saying, "Don't abandon your teammates if you want to win this challenge."

The next day, the teams play "Abandon Ship." Each team has a line connected to an anchor with buoys at different heights underneath the water. One person jumps off the boat at a time to get a buoy, with everyone having to grab one of his own. When the last buoy is recovered, a lifeboat will appear. The team will then have to row that lifeboat to the finish line on the shore. The team with the fastest time is Power Team and the slowest will head to the Arena.

While Brooklyn and San Diego and even Cancun with only two team members kill it, St. Thomas struggles! Trishelle messes it for Team Vegas as well. She panics and Alton has to go get her buoy, adding a five minute penalty to their time. Of course, they give her mad crap about it, since they end up being one of the last teams to make it to shore. San Diego surprisingly kills the challenge and they all communicate well, winning Power Team! St. Thomas ends up being the last place team, earning themselves a spot in the Arena.

Back at the house, Dustin and Trishelle still go at it about the loss. Honestly, Trishelle should've stepped it up. She didn't even have the farther to go to get her buoy in the first place! Dustin tells her that if they are thrown in (which in all likelihood, they will be) she will be going into the Arena regardless for costing them the win, which she doesn't react well to. At deliberation later, San Diego decides to send in Vegas "based on performance," but we ALL know San Diego doesn't like them. They pick both Vegas and St. Thomas to play an Endurance game in the Arena.

That night, people drink and enjoy themselves. However, Nany randomly goes off on Derek about not being a good friend to her, and Frank gets into it, yelling at Nany in her face. Marie decides to get in it to break up the fight. Robb pushes Derek away from Marie and Derek pushes him to the ground, which causes Marie to push Derek and Sam gets knocked down in the process! This whole fight was a MESS! Everybody was drunk and needed to go to bed, if you ask me! Later, Frank, Nany and Trishelle go to the cabana to try to talk things out which lasts for a total of 20 seconds! Frank ends up going off on her and then starts talking about her sister being a heroin addict, and gets Dustin into it when he talks about his gay porn video. As Frank continues to yell from the balcony at the both of them, Dustin and Nany make fun of him. Frank jumps in Dustin's face, and Dustin pushes his face. Zach calms him down and reminds him about the final. Alton is annoyed with the craziness of this entire season, and I don't blame them. MTV advertised this as the biggest fight in Challenge history. I don't know about all of that, but I definitely know it was the dumbest fight!

At the Arena, Vegas and St. Thomas go head to head in "Balls Out."  Nany decides to step up to compete with Alton, when Trishelle refuses to go. Dustin yells at Trishelle because she definitely copped out. The game is best two out of three. With Robb's long arms, the first round goes to St. Thomas easily, while he second round goes to Vegas by one. It all came down to the final round which was extremely close, but it ended up going to St. Thomas, sending Nany and Alton home! It will leave Dustin to deal with Trishelle unfortunately. Dustin, of course, throws shade at her for not going in the Arena in the first place! Back at the house, Dustin decides that he is going home too, refusing to work with her. God only knows how this is going to end! Guess we'll see next week!

Check out a new episode of Battle of the Seasons next Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET only on MTV!

Another Jerzday, another recap! Picking up from last week, Snooki talks to Jionni, who is into his softball playing, and doesn't really spend a lot of time with Snooki. How your FIANCEE is carrying your CHILD and you don't make time to see her is beyond me! Later, the housemates go to dinner at Jimbos, while Snooki and Deena go out to dinner for their own little meatball date. They talk about how Snooki is never out with them, but then also how Jionni is never around to see her and make sure that she's all right.

Later everyone minus Snooki parties at Karma. Paula is there after her breakup with Mike a few weeks back. Though she looks great, Mike can't get her raunchy ways out of his mind. When she talks to Sammi and Jenni, she seems really heartbroken by the breakup, while Mike goes on about his business! He's grinding all over girls, and Paula's just watching on the sidelines. She later comes over to say bye, right when Mike is about to seal the deal to take a girl home! Unfortunately, the entire MVP gang strikes out for the night, and they all head home to sleep.

The next day, Jionni and Snooki plan to go baby shopping, though Sam and Deena JUST got her a bunch of stuff from the baby store! When Jionni gets here, Sam quietly tells him that he should just take her to dinner. Snooki's feelings are hurt that no one wants to go baby shopping with her, as she hasn't gotten much for the baby. Before the couple heads out to eat, Snooki realizes she has to get an address from the girls, right when they are all showing Jenni the presents. They were able to hide them just in time, due to hearing Snooki's heels! At dinner, Snooki is a little gloomy at dinner, since she really wanted to go baby shopping. However, it's all good when she and Jionni go home and smush!

Later, Jenni tells Vinny that he had better be at the baby shower! However, he's weird about it because he feels that Jionni wouldn't want her there. That night, the house goes to a new club Merge, where Jenni rips her pants while she was dropping it in a dance battle! However, all of a sudden the entire mood changes when they see Angelina (for those who don't know, an original cast member from seasons 1-2 of the show!) NONE of them like her, so it's weird! She surprisingly wants to apologize to everybody, but nobody's trying to hear it! She's just keeps hanging around the guys trying to force this apology. Very, very awkward! When the guys strike out again in getting girls to bring back to the house, Pauly and Mike go to get steaks. Vinny decides to walk home alone, and meets some hot girls, deciding that it's cool to break his celibacy for a threesome literally from the street! When he gets back, he realizes that Jenni and Roger are in the smush rooom, so he brings the girls to his room. Since Mike and Pauly are both there, it ends up being very awkward for them all. One girl drops out, and the other doesn't do much for Vinny, so technically his celibacy isn't broken!

The next morning, the girls get up to decorate Rivoli's for Snooki's surprise baby shower. They are all hungover feeling terrible, and struggle to finish, but the room ends up looking great. Back at the house, the roommates plan to tell Snooki that they are going to Rivoli's for Sunday dinner so that the surprise isn't ruined. Vinny doesn't really want to go, but he plans to apologize to Jionni for Snooki. Jenni goes to Rivoli's with Roger to double check everything and meet with Snooki's friends and all. The rest of the house drives Snooki down there and she's so surprised and emotional! It gets awkward quick though, with Jionni being around Vinny and Mike, both of whom hooked up with Snooki (well Mike did allegedly...either way, it's awkward). The episode ends with Vinny going to talk to Jionni outside! I can't wait to see how this turns out!

There are literally only THREE episodes of Jersey Shore ever! Check out a new episode next Thursday at 10 p.m. ET!

Since the start of The Spotlight, I've been able to connect with a lot of talented upcoming artists for features and mixtape releases. It's been an incredible addition to the blog (email me for a feature of your own!).

Rapper 8More released his mixtape only hours ago. Endustry 8 was created based off of this upcoming rapper's serious drive and chase for success. The hunger is blatant in this mixtape, as 8More strives to make a name for himselve in this industry. "The people like my family, friends and even my haters gave me even more inspiration than I could of imagined," he also said.

Read more and listen to the mixtape below!

Endustry 8 gives features from underground artists Freck Billionaire, Ruga Dre Butcher, Sean Christian, and more! While the project has instrumentals, 8More produced 75% of the beats accompanying the mixtape.

The overall message of the project is "life" according to 8More. "It's a fun project about how most people think this industry is worth chasing but it's really not unless you're following your dreams and not the fame!" the rapper said. The track that he really thinks everyone should check out? "Track 15, 'We Up In Dis.' It's very electrifying and spry...[a] club mover!" he said.

Even though the mixtape just dropped, 8More is making plans for his newest project World's Favorite Number Megawatts 1.8 to be released in March of next year. He also has three new music videos coming out in December and January.

Endustry 8 is available online at various websites include DatPiff.com, LiveMixtapes.com, and HipHopReleases.com. Check it out and download it below!

It's official. Kevin Clash, the voice and puppeteer behind Sesame Street’s beloved Elmo (my favorite character of all time), has resigned from his position following the aftermath of the allegations that he had an underage sexual relationship some years ago.

Read up below!

Sesame Workshop released the following statement:

"Sesame Workshop’s mission is to harness the educational power of media to help all children the world over reach their highest potential. Kevin Clash has helped us achieve that mission for 28 years, and none of us, especially Kevin, want anything to divert our attention from our focus on serving as a leading educational organization. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding Kevin’s personal life has become a distraction that none of us want, and he has concluded that he can no longer be effective in his job and has resigned from Sesame Street. This is a sad day for Sesame Street."

The sexual accusations were made public only last Monday, but then later recanted by his 24-year-old accuser. The episode led to Mr. Clash coming out as a gay man, something he had not previously discussed in public. “I have never been ashamed of this or tried to hide it, but felt it was a personal and private matter,” he said in the statement last week.

Apparently, production of the show will not be affected by the resignation. In fact, during his leave of absence, Kevin himself had been helping look for other puppeteers that could play Elmo and some filled in for him while he was away.

It's a sad day for Sesame Street indeed! I understand that with Kevin still on the show, parents might find it controversial. So from that side, I get why he resigned. But still! This man has been playing Elmo longer than most of the people reading this blog have been alive (since 1974!) It's just sad that he is leaving with his name disgraced like this for no reason, when somebody takes back their story like that! I wish him well with his future endeavors, though he could probably just retire from those checks Elmo has been raking in over the years!

How do you feel about Kevin Clash resigning from the show?

Another Jerzday gone, another Jersey Shore recap! First and foremost, I want to encourage the fans of the show to make donations to the Restore The Shore effort, a goal to rebuild Seaside Heights and the surrounding areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. The cast of Jersey Shore and several other cast members of other MTV shows are working diligently to bring light to this disaster and to help families rebuild their homes, businesses, and lives. Support if you can!

Picking up from last week, Snooki, Ronnie and Deena go to work. Danny and Ronnie go play games while the Meatballs who wanted to take a break themselves. Suddenly a huge storm hits, which freaks Deena out but it eventually calms down. My first thought was that they shouldn't have included that scene due to the hurricane, especially since it didn't add or take away from that part of the show, but whatever. Back at the house, Mike calls his sister Melissa and talks about his issues with Paula. Mike wants a classy girl and gets advice from Melissa to voice his problems to Paula. He liked her for who she was, and now, after three summers, Paula's done a complete 180 on him!

Mike tells Vinny and Pauly how he feels and they admit that Paula has changed. Pauly never did see them being together that long anyway. Now Mike has to figure out how to break up with her, though he still wants to be romantically connected (aka he wants to smush!). On the boardwalk, Vinny and Pauly are already telling people that Mike is single with plans to break up with Paula, which scares Mike because Seaside is small and there's the possibility of it getting back to her.

The next day, the house heads to the beach. Mike and Deena talk about breaking up with Paula. It might be best for both of them. Mike honestly doesn't seem ready to settle down anyway, though he's 30! Time for him to get his life together! Later, the guys plan to be there to see Mike break up with Paula. Mike also talks about sticking to his commitment to not drink or smoke and thanks his roommates for their support. Sammi brings up Snooki and tells Mike that he should try to settle things with her. Vinny feels like Snooki is trying to forget her past and that's why she doesn't hang out with him much or bring Jionni around. I don't know if Snooki will ever fix things with Mike, but she and Vinny have been cool for a long time, and I think this awkwardness between him and Jionni should be fixed for her sake.

Back at the house, Sammi asks Snooki if she will invite Vinny or Mike to the wedding. She wants Jionni and Vinny to patch things up but definitely doesn't want Mike to be there. She doesn't think that she will ever really forgive Mike for trying to mess with her relationship. Even if she did, she doesn't want to be friends.

The next morning, Snooki is so tired and doesn't want to go to work with Pauly and Jenni. However, she pushes through, even with severe pains in her side. Jenni takes her outside to talk. Snooki feels like she can't talk to anybody but Jenni because she doesn't want to be a buzzkill or annoying to the roommates. However, Jenni feels like they are family and will understand. After work, Jenni plans to throw Snooki a surprise Shore Shower to cheer her up. She recruits Sam and Deena to help her plan the baby shower at Rivoli's, and calls Jionni to tell him about it. She wants it all to be perfect. The girls even go to get Snooki real baby gifts for Lorenzo! Definitely a cute and thoughtful idea!

Later, Paula calls Mike and reveals that she has heard that he wants to break up with her. He plans to go see her at work but she's emotional which tears at his heart a little bit. It just makes this all harder. Later, Pauly tells Vinny to make Mike a "Let's Make It Unofficial" tshirt after work to mess with him. At the house, the guys plan to have a front row seat to the breakup!

The next day, Jenni and Mike go to tan, while Ronnie, Pauly and Vinny are simply there just to watch the drama! Mike goes to talk to Paula after his tan. He admits that he cares about her but thinks that maybe they're moving too fast, and they should go back to how things were. He was actually really smooth about it and Paula's cool with it. It was no drama at all, and they even got some kisses in too! Definitely the easiest breakup ever, which was disappointing to the other guys since they expected more! I guess since Paula had already heard it, she expected it. Not surprised that they broke up. The Situation is obviously not ready to be tied down for real!

There are only FOUR episodes left of the FINAL SEASON of Jersey Shore! Can't believe it! New episodes will return in two weeks after Thanksgiving!

Image via MTV
Another grueling episode of Battle of the Seasons! Picking up from last week, there are five teams left in the game (Brooklyn, Las Vegas, Cancun, San Diego, and St. Thomas barely)! The game is dwindling down, so it's more important than ever for these teams to fight hard to solidify their spot in the finals!

The teams go out to let loose. However, there is still a lot of tension between Frank and Zach. Of course, everybody has their opinion on the drama among Team San Diego. Later, Jonna reveals that she lost everything due to a crazy ex who got rid of all of her stuff. She is trying to get her life together and hopes that The Challenge will give her some start over funds.

At the next day's challenge, the set up is a 70s game show called "The Hunger Games." TJ even dresses up like an old school host (slick back hair and all!). It turns out to be an eating contest. The teams will bet how much they can eat in a designated time. The team that bets the highest will have to try to eat that amount. If you win, you will get to put a team into the losers' round. If you bet the most, and don't eat it or throw up, you will go straight to the losers' round. The first two teams are the losers.

For a game that typically has the most disgusting things for these people to eat, it's actually pretty decent food at first, with the first two items being baklava and grape leaves. When Cancun misses their goal of baklava by 2, they automatically get put into the losers' round! Brooklyn takes on the grape leaves, betting 35, but ending up eating 47! They choose San Diego obviously to go into the losers' round with Cancun. The next food is chilies. St. Thomas bets 18 of those, though it's only 2 of them. However, Marie loves peppers so she got 25! It comes down to St. Thomas and Brooklyn for the Power Team, eating as much COW LIVER as they can in two minutes. St. Thomas is disqualified for throwing up, which gives Brooklyn the coveted title of Power Team AGAIN! The losers' round with Cancun and San Diego has them all eating COW INTESTINES AND TESTICLES in two minutes. The teams struggle to hold it down, and who can blame them?! It was very close, but San Diego loses, heading straight into the Arena!

Back at the house, San Diego tries to work through their problems. Zach doesn't think he should go in, but doesn't trust Frank to stick to his word to go in. Brooklyn discusses their options of who will face San Diego. Later, at deliberations, Brooklyn picks Cancun because they haven't gone into the Arena yet (though it's still strategic because San Diego and Cancun are in an alliance together).

Since the only game left is Physical, CJ plans to go in but wants Jonna to go in with him. Jonna is the stronger between her and Jasmine. However, she doesn't want to go into the Arena because she doesn't want to risk getting sent home. She really needs the money, which is understandable, but everybody has to face the Arena sooner or later. She ends up walking out of the room, leaving her team upset.

At the Arena, San Diego chooses Sam and Zach, while Cancun offers CJ and Jasmine. The teams play "Hall Brawl," which has the girls and guys going against each other. There is a narrow hallway to run through each other to get to a bell on the opposite side. Unfortunately for Jasmine's little behind, she got the complete air smashed out of her by Sam! In the boys' heat, even though CJ is little, he outsmarts and outruns Zach, beating him in the first heat. Since the game is tied, it's decided by a coin toss that the guys will go again. CJ wins the first round, but Zach kills it to win the last two! Unfortunately, that leaves Derek and Jonna to fight for Cancun! The win definitely boosts team morale with San Diego. Let's see if they get it together!

Battle of the Seasons will return in two weeks after Thanksgiving!

Image via MTV
Another Jerzday, another recap! Picking up from last episode, Deena is a true blue drunken mess still! Vinny tries to comfort her, but it doesn't help much. She misses home and her boyfriend, plus she's drunk. She wants to go home, but Vinny tells her to make that decision when she has calmed down. Even though they love Deena, the rest of the house is annoyed with her, especially Sammi. Ronnie decides to call her mom and tells her that she doesn't need to go home. Afterwards, everyone goes out to Karma without her.

Later, Deena's parents get to the house, which calms Deena down. Her mom tells her that she needs to stop drinking so much and that she's scared that she will be arrested again. Deena doesn't want her to keep calling to check up on her, but if she wasn't drunk ALL THE TIME, her mom wouldn't do that. She keeps talking about having all these "Meatball Days," but she needs a break from all that!

At Karma, Mike continues to pull what the guys call "Sneaky Dickens" moves by talking and feeling on other girls, though he is now in a relationship with Paula. Jenni CALLS HIM OUT in front of some of the girls talking to him. If you didn't want to be in a relationship, Mike, you shouldn't have asked her out in the first place! Meanwhile, Vinny is being tempted to give up his celibacy by some girl he met. However, the girl is mad shy once she gets back to the house, and Vinny just ends up going to sleep next to her.

In the morning, the guys pick up food for a family barbecue in the house. They bring up Mike grinding on other girls, and everyone tells her that that's not allowed now that he's with Paula. Surprisingly, Deena herself takes a day to not drink. Sammi expresses her frustration and annoyance with Deena's drinking and anxiety. Deena wants everyone to just let her be her, and thinks Sammi's making a bigger deal of it than it is. However, Sam lets her know straight up that since she got a boyfriend, her whole life is about Chris and being away from him is changing her. However, Deena can't see or admit that, leaving her angry at Sam.

The next morning, Sam, Jenni and Snooki get to work late, pissing off Danny. Jenni makes a deal with him saying that if she sells a case of shot glasses, she gets out of work early. Of course, she sells them because she's J WOWW! Hell, I'd buy a shot glass and then take a pic with her, Instagram it, and say she sold it to me haha! Easy bet! Afterwards, the girls head to an arcade, where Snooki steals a stuffed leopard, though she could very easily just buy it! Only Nicole...

Back at the house, Mike gets a call from Paula, and invites her to go on a double date with Chris and Deena. When Chris gets there, Deena expresses her frustration to him, and asks him if she's clingy. Chris is fine with Deena just as she is, though he does need her to stop calling him in the middle of the night! At the Boardwalk, it's clear that Mike is a little bit embarrassed by Paula. She acts a little like a Meatball, which turns Mike off. He's in an adjustment period with her in the first place, and it seems like this all is just making it worse. Of course, he wants her to be herself, but she's too comfortable. Meanwhile, the girls have a naive conversation about everybody being open and honest in their relationship.

Once at home, Mike is making references like he is about to dump Paula. Paula has no filter, especially about sex in the bedroom. He then tells her that she doesn't have a filter, and at times, he chalks it up to that just being who Paula is, but that when she sits there quietly, he's good. Awkward moment. Overall, she's a good girl, but Paula can be a little too much to handle. While they're out, Mike leaves Paula to go chill with Mike and Vinny. Paula hangs out with the girls, and they even dance with this old lady who does some crazy gymnast moves! It was the best Jersey Turnpike ever!

Back at the house, Paula reveals that she's wearing butt pads, and Vinny has a ball with them! She acts like one of the boys, telling a bunch of raunchy jokes, and it's embarrassing Mike to death! At the end of the day, guys ultimately get serious about real ladies, not trashy girls! Not saying that Paula is trashy, but if she keeps giving off this type of behavior, Mike is probably going to dump her!

"We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky."

Rihanna's anticipated video for her lead single "Diamonds" just premiered on MTV moments ago! The vid, directed by Anthony Mandler, had plenty of diamonds, of course (Ri Ri even smoked a few!). It has a lot of different scenes from Rihanna singing in the desert alongside a black stallion and its mare, running down a road like she's been chased, and ends with calamity of a war in the streets and a man on fire walking through the scene.

Check out the video after the jump!

Overall, I love the song! I think, compared to what fans and the Rihanna Navy are used to, it's very calm and mellow. Emotional and relaxing to me, with Rihanna even calling Unapologetic itself a "stoner's album" haha! Though it's not my favorite Rihanna video ("We Found Love" still takes the cake!), this video is filled with great imagery and symbols seemingly reflective of her past (MTV does a good job of breaking it down here) While I don't always connect to abstract videos like this, I respected the editing and design put into this one! It fits her!

Make sure you cop Rihanna's seventh album Unapologetic on November 19!

Things are definitely heating up on The Challenge! Picking up from the last episode (due to Halloween, the Challenge was cancelled for last week), Team Brooklyn hosts an Insane Games House Edition to ease tension around the house and have fun, something this Challenge has been seriously missing! Afterwards, they all get a clue from TJ: "Tomorrow's challenge is not going to be easy but it will be memorable," showing that they will probably be playing a memory game. Meanwhile CJ is connecting to Ashley from San Diego, though it's still up in the air if she likes him back.

Next day at the Challenge, the teams gear up to play "Logged Out." The goal is pretty simple: solve a puzzle. The means? Not so simple. The teams will go through three check points. The first is the answer key to memorize a complicated puzzle. The second checkpoint is to carry logs the carry the puzzle pieces up a hill, with the teams all having to stick together. At the third checkpoint, you have to solve the puzzle.

Once the game starts, it's seriously a test of endurance for everyone. The logs are extremely heavy, and it's difficult for them to travel up and down this hill, trying to make sure they have the right logs and the right puzzle in their minds! Brooklyn is very strategic, figuring out the puzzle before heading up the hill with their logs unlike the other teams who wait until they get up the hill to do so.
However, that hike up the mountain is grueling. Everyone is struggling, especially San Diego surprisingly! Sam is having a hard time making it up the mountain with her logs, and it doesn't help that the guys on her team are yelling at her.

In the end, Brooklyn takes the win! One by one, the rest of the teams figure the puzzle out. It ends up being St. Thomas and New Orleans, who both only have two people left on their teams, fighting against each other to not go to the Arena. St Thomas pulls it out, sending Jemmye and Knight into elimination.

Back at the house, the deliberation is the easiest I want to say in Challenge history for Brooklyn. At deliberation, they choose San Diego to go into a mental challenge, simply based on the fact that San Diego has been the head of their separate alliance, sending all of these other teams in, especially Brooklyn. Afterwards, Frank mentions that he wants to go in with Ashley. It turns out that Zach and Frank had made a pact that if their team went into the Arena, Frank would take the mental and strategic games, with Zach, with his strength, would take physical or endurance. When Sam speaks up, saying that she feels she should go in, Frank quickly backs out, scared to go in with her because of her lack of performance lately. It starts a huge fight because Zach feels that Frank is going back on his word. Neither one of them wants to go in for different reasons.

That night at the Arena, Jemmye and Knight take their place for the elimination round. Though Sam steps in to fight for her team, Zach and Frank didn't come to a decision about who will go in, leaving that power in Brooklyn's hands. Brooklyn quickly chooses Zach to go in, though the mental game is "Water Torture" (the game that Camila and Eric failed miserably at a few weeks ago!) Though the game is mental, it's also about strength and endurance, with the guys having to pull themselves down into a tank of water and holding themselves under for their teammates to solve a puzzle. I honestly would have actually put Frank into this one, because he's definitely weaker in those categories. When Zach starts struggling to get to the bottom of the tank, Sam surprisingly lights a fire under his ass and gets him to dig deeper! They end up winning the challenge, sending Jemmye and Knight home and leaving five teams left in the game.

Back at the house, it's obviously awkward between Frank and Zach. Frank thanks him for his work in the Arena, but Zach walks away from him, seeing what kind of competitor he really is. The game will only heat up from here, so we'll see what happens next week!

Check out an all new episode of Battle of the Seasons next Wednesday at 10 p.m. only on MTV!

Another Jerzday gone, meaning another recap from yours truly!

First and foremost, I want to send my condolences to all those who have lost others, homes, cars, etc., due to Hurricane Sandy. While the DMV area got hit with a little rain and wind, New Jersey and New York received the brunt of it. Seaside Heights was hit hard as well, with much of the Boardwalk being destroyed, and even the Shore Store took a big hit! The cast of the show offered statements of love and support to the place that has been their home for the past four years.

Picking up from last week, Jenni and Roger are still on the phone. She doesn't want to lose his relationship with him. Roger is not breaking up with her for the moment, but is still rather cold towards her. But they'll be fine! (As we all know, they're now ENGAGED!)

Later, Mike talks about Paula's changing because of her new relationship status. He doesn't like to be confined, but he's determined to make it work. However, he thinks she needs a little sprucing up, so he plans to shell out some funds to make her a 10 (Who says that??? The Situation.). Then we look up, and here's Paula at the Shore Store. SHE'S NEVER THERE! Seems like she's a little too excited about this relationship, and I can see that Mike is getting a little doubtful about their status and it's only been a day! The employees at the store even do a pool to see how long their relationship will last! Meanwhile, Danny gets Deena a prison jumpsuit to wear at work (appropriate yet inappropriate at the same time haha!)

The next day, Vinny and Pauly plan to prank Deena, because it's so fun for them to mess with her. After Sam and Deena go out to run errands, the guys go down to the Boardwalk and take beautiful pictures reenacting her relationship with Chris. The pictures are HILARIOUS! Then, they replace their pictures in her frames. They get back to the house, only to find out that Deena and Sam got back home early. Deena notices her pictures are missing, and goes to look for them. Pauly distracts her while Vinny puts their pictures in her room. She goes back to see them there, and everyone dies of laughter! Another perfect prank from Vinny and Pauly!

Later, Ronnie and Deena go play on the Boardwalk and drink (though Deena JUST got arrested for drunk dancing in the street last week). Drunk after a while, Deena starts talking about her and Chris, and their sex life, annoying Ronnie. Then the girl walks UP to a policeman and asks for a hug! However, she holds herself together until she gets back to the house. When they get back, everybody heads out to Karma. There, Roger surprises Jenni with all of her close friends from Rhode Island, and Jionni comes back to be with Snooki.

Meanwhile, Mike isn't acting like he has a girlfriend, as he's talking, flirting, and grinding with other chicks! A friend of Paula's walks up to him and calls him out! Later, a few more friends come up to him too! That girl has a good amount of spies out tonight! In the taxi, Ronnie tells Deena that she talks about herself too much and it's annoying him. That pisses Deena off, but the next morning, she's nice and sober, and gives Ronnie a hug for being a drunk mess.

Paula calls Mike that morning, and he doesn't tell her that anything happened. MVP go out for breakfast and Pauly and Vinny tell Mike that now that he's in a relationship, he can't do everything he used to do. It's different now that he has a title on him. Meanwhile, Pauly's stalker Vanessa is BACK! She's very, very creepy! She's been following him at least the past two years on the Shore, and it's getting kind of scary!

Meanwhile, Snooki tries to cook for Jionni. It's a major fail, with her calling her dad for advice. It doesn't help though. When Jionni comes over, he tells her that the meal tastes good, though it obviously doesn't. You don't want to upset your soon to be wifey/baby mom though! Jionni knows the game.

Back at the house, Ronnie, Sammi, and Deena go down to EJs and drink. Sammi and Ronnie end up leaving Deena at EJs to go home to get ready for Karma later. Later, Deena's mom calls and asks about her. Her mom is upset that Deena is down there drinking by herself. Deena enjoys herself and manages to make it home without getting arrested. She gets a call from her mother, who proceeds to yell at her for getting so drunk. She tells Deena to pack her bags because she's coming to get her. Deena calls her and tells her that she wants to go home. Through it all, she is crazy drunk, so who knows what she'll remember. Everybody tells her instead of coming to Karma, she needs to sleep it off. Ronnie and the guys make fun of her wanting to go home and crying all the time. The episode ends with Deena cussing out Ronnie for making fun of her, with her still seemingly being undecided about going home. This girl and her emotions are KILLING me!

Bad news for Anderson Live fans! It was announced today that Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show will not be renewed for a third season.

Telepictures, which is part of Warner Bros., announced today that due to soft ratings, despite a live reworking of the show for its second season, the show will not be renewed, but will continue to air through the summer of 2013.

A statement came from Warner Bros. saying, "We are extremely proud of Anderson and the show that he and the entire production team have produced. While we made significant changes to the format, set and produced it live in its second season, the series will not be coming back for a third season in a marketplace that has become increasingly difficult to break through. We will continue to deliver top-quality shows throughout next summer."

Anderson himself released a statement, saying, "I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I'm sorry we won't be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it."

I didn't watch the show very much but definitely caught some episodes. It was a very intriguing show for sure! Daytime tv is definitely hard to break into with all of the different shows already out there. However, Anderson did a pretty good job holding his own! On to the next...

According to several reports from other blogs and friends on Twitter, Natina Reed (the rapper from 90s group Blaque) passed away last night.

She was unfortunately killed in a hit and run after trying to cross the street. She would've celebrated her 33rd birthday tomorrow. She leaves a son Tren with rapper Korupt.

This is crazy to me! I loved Blaque! Matter of fact, I was having an impromptu 90s music session the other day and of course Blaque was featured. It's so sad to know that Natina is gone. Thoughts and prayers go to her son, her group members, and the rest of her family and friends.
Another Jerzday, another recap! Picking up from last episode, Deena is arrested for dancing in the street and is going to the Drunk Tank to sober her up. Ronnie is very nonchalant about the arrest, and suggests that they keep on drinking and chill. There's nothing really that they can do, so Sammi and Ron go on about their day.

Later, MVP goes tanning, and, of course, Mike goes to see her boo Paula and thanks her for the strawberries. He invites her out to dinner after. His plan is to ask her out officially at Rivoli's. Then they head to the sporting goods store to get some things to do after Sunday dinners. Mike also gets Snooki a stroller as a nice gesture to try to turn things around for them. She definitely won't forgive him, but it's a nice gesture I guess.

Back at the house, Ronnie and Sam reveal to Jenni and Snooki that Deena was arrested. They all head over to get her. However, Deena's parents showed up after she called them. They are definitely not happy. A rule of thumb on the Jersey Shore, if you're ever in trouble, don't call the parents, call your roommates! Her parents bail her out, and take her back at the house to have a nice long talk with her. It's public intoxication, and there's no real reason to be that drunk that early in the day! They tell her to watch herself and make better decisions.

Everybody gets back to the house, and welcomes Deena home. Snooki and Ron even get her a card for "graduating" to real Meatball status by getting arrested! Mike tries to get Snooki up on the porch to show her the stroller. Snooki, of course, is extremely cold towards him. She eventually goes up to see it with Ronnie, and loves the stroller. However, she really just wants a real apology from him instead of being flooded with gifts and small talk, which is understandable.

Later that night, the house has Sunday dinner. Mike talks about his plan to make things official with Paula. He wants to ask her to be his girlfriend...on his t-shirt! Kind of corny, but still cute. After dinner, the infamous flasher chick from last episode, Morgan, comes back to see Pauly and Vinny, and of course, flashes her boobs! The girls talk to Jenni about Roger. She's upset because she still hasn't heard from him.

The next day, Jenni and Snooki go to the doctor's to see if Jenni will need a cast or surgery for her ankle. On the way, the two disabled buddies check out motorized wheelchairs and actually buy them, the crazies! At the orthopedic surgeon, Jenni goes to get a final diagnosis. There's no broken bone, or even a fracture! It's not something that she needs a cast for! Snooki, of course, is sad because she doesn't have a cripple to hang out with for the summer.

Vinny, Deena, and Mike go to the Shore Store for their shift. Mike makes a t-shirt saying 'Let's Make It Official!" to wear it for Paula. After he leaves for an early break, Danny puts "I Like Men" on the back of the shirt. Mike sees the back of the shirt on the way out and makes a new one! But it was definitely funny for the moment!

At Rivoli's, the whole house goes to support Mike as he asks Paula out. Mike and Paula sit away from the roommates for their private moment. The roommates steadily watch Mike nervously ask her out. He shows Paula the t-shirt, and she SWOONS! The roommates clap it up as the Situation finally gets taken off the market! However, then Paula starts talking about plans for the future, like marriage and kids, and kind of turns Mike off. Later, Paula asks the house for the Smush Room. She's a little too excited and has no filter about their new relationship status!

The next day, Jenni decides to call Roger to end the silence between them. She leaves him a message after he doesn't answer his phone. She is obviously upset. Meanwhile, Mike talks to his boxing coach about his decision to make things official with Paula. Then, he tells him about the lack of filter on her mouth last night. It was definitely weird and awkward. It was like the girl was just waiting to get snatched up!

Jenni talks to the girls about being unsure about the status of her relationship. She's wondering what she did wrong. They get Vinny's point of view, and he's honest that this might be one too many fights for their relationship. Jenni calls Roger again, and this time he answers. He goes off on her, saying that she's using her ankle as an attention grabber. They argue about the fight. He tells her that maybe she should just have her summer, and the status of their relationship is still up in the air!

Picking up from last week, we have six teams...well five and a half, with Knight and Jemmye holding on for New Orleans.

Alton and Frank get into a little altercation in the gym. Frank keeps trying to antagonize him, but Alton keeps his cool. Later, Alton makes a decision not to go to the beach with the rest of the house.
It's a rule on the show that if one of them doesn't go out, nobody goes out. That pisses Sarah off as well as the rest of the house. Of course, Frank gets into it. Then Frank starts a fight with Dustin when Dustin comes to Alton's defense. Frank is quite the little annoying instigator!

Later, a clue from TJ comes in: "If you think your opponents in the house are crazy, just wait until you see the challenge tomorrow!" The next day, everyone heads to play "The Insane Games," a series of events, where one team will be eliminated each event. The teams that lose the first two events will go head to head in the Losers' Round. The first game, Chariot Race, requires one person to pull his entire team on a chariot, while wearing a horse mask. It's hot and the mask is suffocating to all of the teams. Brooklyn comes in dead last, meaning that they will be the first team to head to the Losers' Round.

The next game is Egg Drop. One person is throwing eggs over a 10 foot wall and the other is supposed to catch it...with a dog collar around their neck. The first team to catch 6 eggs will win. St. Thomas is the last team to catch their eggs, putting them in the Loser's Round with Brooklyn. In the next game, Ear Pull, opponents sit on a long, with a two foot string around each opponent's ears and you're trying to get the string off their ear using your face. Absolute insanity!

In the Winner's playoffs , the two remaining teams end up being Vegas and New Orleans. Two members charge at each other with a chariot, with one other person hitting them with a mallet trying to knock them off. New Orleans ends up winning the power team after Trishelle accidentally stepped back from her chariot.

During the loser's round, Brooklyn goes against St. Thomas to play "Fish Head." The goal is to knock your opponent off of their platform...using a 15 pound FISH! It's two out of three, boys then girls.Marie gets heated when Laura wants to go for her team, because she doesn't feel like Laura is stronger than her in competition. While Trey wins the heat for his team against Chet, Sarah annihilates Laura in theirs.  In a coin toss, the girls ends up going again. And down goes Laura again! St. Thomas is making a trip to the Arena, and New Orleans will deliberate to decide who will go against them.

Back at the house, Alton talks to Zach about putting Vegas in. He plans to lose so he can get away from these people and tells his team. Of course, his team members are pissed and tell him that they  refuse to throw the challenge in the Arena. It's definitely selfish of him to do that. I understand his frustration, because there are a lot of young rookies at this Challenge. However, it's still a game, and they're playing it to their advantage, especially if they can get you to quit like that!

At the deliberation that night, of course, New Orleans chooses Las Vegas to go against St. Thomas and picks Strategy for their game. One guy and one girl will go in to represent their team. Nany says that she will go in, but she would rather go in with Dustin, who she knows will put up more of a fight than Alton.

At the Arena, TJ reintroduces "Knot So Fast," the game with the jungle gym and the 100 foot ropes that the players tangle up and leave for their opponents to solve. Nany and Dustin go against Trey and Laura. On the sidelines, Alton gets into it with Zach and CJ about his not going into the Arena. During the challenge, Nany and Dustin are struggling with communication, while Laura and Trey are doing pretty well. Nany and Dustin seem like they didn't tangle as much, leaving Laura and Trey with a pretty easy puzzle to solve. However's it's about endurance as well, because those ropes are extremely heavy. Vegas ends up pulling it out, eliminating Trey and Laura, leaving Robb and Marie to fight for Team St. Thomas!

Back at the house, Zach and the rest of the alliance is annoyed with Vegas coming back to the house. The others are annoyed with the alliance, and Trishelle's not sure what to do about Alton. Who knows if he'll try to really throw a challenge to go home or not! Just another day on Battle of the Seasons!
