Ok, so I thought about it and there's honestly no way that I can keep up with Spotlight while I'm in Australia. The time difference is too much between here and back in the states, and I'm studying ALL THE TIME it seems lol plus going different places, exploring the area. So I'm too out and about. I tried :( I have a few spotlights I promised some folks, as well as a huge music festival coming to Melbourne in about 3 weeks (SupaFest with Snoop, Ciara, T-Pain, Timbaland, Keri Hilson, and more!!!), and I probably will be going to see Chris Brown here on April 23. So I will definitely do those posts. As far as entertainment news, that's on hold for now. Just until around June-ish, when I'm back in the U.S. of A. Can't keep doing a bunch of posts one day, and then a bunch of nothing for weeks.

So Spotlight will be back for real for real in JUNE!!!! I'm definitely going to be more focused that ever with this. Gonna see about making some changes...maybe change the layout, bring back the music, etc. etc. Can't wait to get back to what I love. In the meantime, check out my Aussie adventures at The Melbourne Takeover!

PEACE.

Morning yall. Well it's about 11:15 at night on Monday night in Aussieland. I'm bone tired, but I owe yall way more blog posts than I can probably even manage right now. As always forgive me. My host university requires a lot of independent study. Well not really requires, but I'm so afraid of doing bad over here I make it like a requirement lol Plus the teachers aren't as in-depth on material as I would like, and I fear they will put stuff on the exam that we never went over so I do it myself. ANYWAYS LOL.... I have to press every now and again, because this blog is more than a side project for me. It's my dream.

So after that long spiel haha, here's a post. Have you heard this? With songwriting, singing, and acting under his belt, Ne-Yo is branching out into his artistic side, creating a cartoon series for Cartoon Network, according to 24HourHipHop.com. First time I'm seeing it. Thought it was interesting....

The show, created for his sister, is called I Heart Tuesday and is expected to begin production soon. The storyline is about "a 16-year-old girl that inherits the curse of her bloodline and she's forced to save the world from the unknown evil every Tuesday for the rest of her life," according to the singer. Haha sounds fun. Definitely something kids might like. Shoot, I might tune in for the heck of it. Such a big kid. I would at least have to see one just to see his skills. Will you check it out?

PEACE.

So I'm blogging and I should be getting ready for class....priorities? Ehhhhh...I've been gone from the blog way too long. I have to put a bit more time into it. I'll get to class on time though :-)

Not long after I did the Charlie Sheen piece, I saw this haha. Joey Crack is getting a cooking show. That's right, Fat Joe is gonna be talking about food, with Chef Mark actually preparing it. Haha check this interview he did on NBC Nitecap (around the 4:55 mark) where he talks a bit about the show, which will have a band, studio audience, and celeb guests. Lil Wayne might be one of the first??? I don't know about this though lol but all the best....

Oh and by the way, if you watch a little before that mark, he talks about some new girl on his team being the new Beyoncé or Rihanna? Rihanna maybe. Beyoncé NEVER. Just had to put that out there haha.

PEACE.

Access Hollywood has confirmed that Charlie Sheen has been officially fired by "Two & A Half Men." He was fired this afternoon.

Warner Bros. Television, which produces the hit CBS sitcom, confirmed the news in a statement. “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ effective immediately,” the statement read. The production of the current season of the show had been put on hold after Charlie's public rants on radio.

What's even funnier, but kind of foul at the same time, was that Charlie got the news via text? A text though, saying that you don't have a job anymore? Yeah, he was super pissed. Charlie just had an interview with Access' Billy Bush and had this to say: "I got a text or something. Here’s another thing — these guys are such yellow cockroaches that they didn’t even have the decency to call me," Charlie said. "I put 5 bill[ion] in their cheap suit pockets and another half a bil’ in what’s-his-cheese’s pockets and this is the f***ing respect I get? It's just deplorable and they should be ashamed of themselves!”

Now, while I agreeing that firing by text is really messed up, I mean, he can't be surprised that he got fired. I'm not. With the domestic violence controversy, his rehab stint, and all of the public rants he's been doing, it's a lot of negative publicity for the show and the network. Not surprised at all. But by text though? Really? Well if it's true...can't say that I really trust his word all that much right now haha.

PEACE.

As we all have probably heard by now, Demi Lovato of Disney Channel fame recently left rehab after a 90 day stay, dealing with her issues with eating disorders and cutting. She released a short message to her fans, thanking them for their support and love during her difficult journey. Watch the video below!

When I first heard about her struggles with her body image, I was in shock. Out of all of the Disney show stars who have attempted a singing career, she is by far in my top two. She and Raven take it. Seriously google some of her music if you haven't heard. (I personally suggest "World of Chances" and "Two Worlds Collide", but there's much more). Anyways, she's a beautiful young woman, with a bright future. However, even the brightest and most talented stars have their demons. We all do. I'm glad that she is doing better, and I wish her all the best :-)

PEACE.

Hey hey all. Hope everything is well. Ok, so haven't blogged in almost 3 weeks :-( A lot going on in Australia, so don't be surprised if you don't hear from me every now and again. I'll still be tweeting though so at least you'll know I'm alive :-) So go follow! And now some news!

Beyoncé has officially joined First Lady Michelle Obama's effort to fight child obesity, according to SingersRoom. The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation is also a part of the campaign, titled "Let's Move!" The campaign encourages kids to get out and get moving to better their health.

“I am excited to be part of this effort that addresses a public health crisis,” Bey said in a statement. “First Lady Michelle Obama deserves credit for tackling this issue directly, and I applaud the NAB Education Foundation for trying to make a positive difference in the lives of our schoolchildren.”

Bey revamped and re-recorded one of her songs for middle school students across the States to perform a pre-choreographed dance exercise at 1:42 p.m. on May 3. She also has personally recorded an instructional video demonstrating the dance routine for students.

I think it's a great idea for the two to join together. I also applaud First Lady Michelle on starting this effort. Child obesity is a major issue across the United States, with kids being glued to TV and video games, instead of being active. Why not have two of the most powerful women in the world join up for a great cause? Definitely a good venture. Go Bey!
