Check out this alternative R&B track from Serbian artist Eeva entitled "11 Weeks!"

In a statement, the song was explained as follows:
"According to popular science, 11 weeks is the estimated period of time that it takes to get over the end of a long-term relationship. Whether this is really true or not, this is Eeva's attempt to acknowledge and embrace all the emotions and phases that it takes to get over the loss so she can find courage and strength to move on. She describes her healing process in this song as 'digesting a goodbye' over this amazing instrumental by Flying Lotus feat Thundercat - "Between Friends."

On her debut project, Know-It-All, singer Alessia Cara shows her great potential for a long career in the industry!

The album, officially released today, November 13, is a great blend of alternative pop and soul, and is perfectly mellow! Alessia is a talented singer, and her vocals are pretty impressive on the album. However, her material stands out even more. Throughout the project, Alessia shows that she has a lot of wisdom beyond just her 19 years. She's a calm, cool, and collected rebel who has no problem doing her own thing, which separates her from the pack of generic pop singers scrambling for a spot in the industry.

Check out the rest of my review below!

The album is an extension of Alessia's Four Pink Walls, as the first five tracks come directly from that EP ("Seventeen," "Here," "Outlaws," "I'm Yours," and "Four Pink Walls"). From the beginning, she shows that, even at her young age, she's learned a good deal about how to navigate life, crediting her parents in "Seventeen." The singer refuses to forget where she's come from, She also discusses moving past dreaming passively in "Four Pink Walls." Through her talent and hard work, she's now here in the limelight, living her dream!

"Here" is Alessia's breakout hit that could be seen as every introvert or wallflower's life story. Attending a party with her friends, the singer is not impressed at all, and can't wait to leave. "Really, I would rather be at home all by myself, not in this room of people who don't even care about my well being," she sings nonchalantly. She''s way more laid back and has different ideas of fun than the majority of her generation,  so all the craziness at parties don't interest her. She just tolerates it for her friends. From the moment I heard it, I thought to myself, "This is my life to the T!" This is a track where it's clear that she knows she's different from the pack, and that suits her just fine. She talks about being a chill nonconformist again in "Wild Things," perfectly content with not being a part of the "in crowd."

Alessia also sings of her experiences of love on the album, and it's clearly been a crazy rollercoaster ride. On "I'm Yours," the singer opens up about not looking for love, but getting sucked in by a special someone. ""I'm mad at you for being so cute, and changing my mood, and altering my route...what's wrong with you?" she jokes. She reveals she's been hurt before, but has opened her heart to make room for love once again, so she asks if that person could proceed with caution when it comes to her. The ride of love is crazy beautiful, as we all know. Alessia touches on it several times on tracks "Stone," (which is a beautiful, acoustic ballad that stands out on the track," "Stars," and "Outlaws," where she connects her experience with her love as being them being ride or die rebels, there for each other no matter what. On "Outlaws," she sings confidently, "You'll never face a judge without me...you'll never battle the gavel alone. And if they lock us away then I'll be still here probably waiting to kill more time with you."  In love, it feels like you can take on the world as long as you have that one person by your side. However, "Overdose," can be seen the unfortunate end of her high off of love, as she eventually realizes she's in over her head. I loved all of these tracks because I could connect my own personal life to each of them in some way.

The standard version of Know It All ends with the moving, standout song "Scars to Your Beautiful," where Alessia recounts the story of a girl struggling with her self-esteem. "Oh, she don't see the light that's shining deeper than the eyes can find it...maybe we have made her blind," the artist sings. "So she tries to cover up her pain and cut her woes away, cuz covergirls don't cry after their face is made. Alessia encourages the ladies specifically to see the unique beauty within themselves, and not look to society's own standards.

The deluxe version of the album also holds great tracks "River of Tears," "My Song," and a really cool piano version of "Here," the 2:00 AM version

I love the peaceful feel of the album overall. Alessia and her production team did a great job in creating a well-rounded, mellow project that listeners can identify with. As I said before, the singer's talent is undeniable, but what's great about this album is how confident she is in herself throughout this album. For her to be young and new to this industry, that's important to maintain who she is in spite of all the craziness that goes down. Alessia's connecting her life to her music is sure to help and motivate others to be themselves as well. I look forward to what's to come from her!

Another great episode of Being Mary Jane last night! Picking up from last week, Mary Jane is
adamant about getting her spot back on the show. However, Greg refuses to pull Marisol from the chair. MJ then decides to make some moves of her own, and makes a donation and call to the Rainbow Coalition. A representative comes in to question Greg, wondering if race is the reason why Mary Jane hasn't been brought back on the show. Greg offers the Coalition time to speak on their organization to avoid this accusation going public, but the rep demands that MJ be put back on the air within 3-6 weeks or the Coalition will hit the press. Mary Jane doesn't feel like the rep pressed hard enough, but, for the coalition, there is a process to getting this to happen. Yet again, Mary Jane takes things into her own hands, and announces to the intrigued reporters outside that she'll be back on the air on Monday, forcing SNC's hand herself.

Back at her house, Mary Jane calls to cancel her donation to the Coalition,  since she went on a limb making the announcement that she'll be back. Mark disagrees with her move, though understanding Mary Jane felt backed into a corner. She realizes that she went a little too far, but what's done is done.

At the Pattersons, Helen is clearly still struggling with her lupus, but manages to shake it off as Patrick walks in to drop off samples as he is now a salesman for different soft drinks. When he tries to offer Niecy a sample, she gets upset and storms off, clearly still mad that he's now deciding to put forth effort in his life, and trying to be a better parent to D'Asia. Patrick calls her out for being rude and ungrateful. Afterwards, Niecy calls her mother, who promises that she's coming to see Niecy.

Later, Kara calls MJ on speaker with Greg, who wants her in the office now. When MJ gets there, he plays the video of her statement to the reporters. Irritated, he states that he is the one constantly advocating for her. Contrary to her belief, his decisions about her has nothing to do with her black. He's taken note of her constant tardiness, as well as her never taking proper time to prepare beforehand for her shows. Hearing that truly shakes MJ up a little bit, but Greg lets her know that she is set to be back on air on Monday, as she announced, but she better be prepared.

Niecy's mom Jackie (played by Jill Scott) comes in toting gifts for her daughter. As they talk, Niecy admits that she wants her kids to know their grandmother, who is always busy working, doing hair for Nicki Minaj on tour. Jackie states that Niecy could work in hair herself,  if she gets a portfolio together. Niecy can have a real career that takes her around the world, using her skills. It's actually not a bad idea, if Niecy actually could follow through. She's so used to people taking care of her, though.

That night, after calling her stylist for a new look, Mary Jane shows off her new short hair cut at the club with Mark. She admits that she's nervous about going back on air, but Mark states confidently that she will do well. Mary Jane talks about her cutty buddy, Brandon, and believes that he could maybe be the right one. However, Mark thinks she needs to keep Brandon as a scratch for her sex itch. That's really what she likes him for. Mark encourages her to take the rest of the free time she has for herself, and let love come to her.

On her first night back on Primetime, it's clear that MJ took Greg's words to heart, and prepped very well for her show. The teleprompter even breaks on her, and the girl doesn't miss a beat on her topic! She needed that kick in the butt!

Meanwhile Jackie and Niecy walk in late from dinner, and Patrick confronts Niecy, who left the kids with their grandparents yet again. She should've been back at a certain time, which upsets Jackie, who had no idea. Jackie even tells her that being late isn't cute, and that Niecy is not a kid anymore. She needs to be on time, and stick to her word, especially when it comes to her kids. Of course, Niecy gets mad and storms off. Jackie lets her go, but then invites Patrick out to dinner with her the next night.

After her show, Mary Jane and Kara have a brief celebration. When Mary Jane gets home, she sees all of her fans giving her praise on social media, and also gets love from her family and friends, and she's happy. However, Greg's words haunt her as she tries to sleep, and she comes into the office to work. She has another great show the next night, though still self-conscious about how she's really doing.

Later, Jackie and Patrick spend time together at his apartment. She looks at a picture of their
daughters, and says kindly that Patrick needs to stop babying Niecy. All it's going to do is stunt her growth. He then states that she really needs to come around more. At the end of the day, Niecy is mad at both of them, but takes it out on Patrick since he's the only one really around. Jackie reveals that she actually doesn't do Nicki's hair, but the dancers' hair. Though that's still great and Jackie loves what she does, she spends most of her time in airports and always being on call. That part of it sucks. Because of it, she thinks she messed her daughters up. Patrick comforts her with a kiss, and they end up making out and having sex. The next day, Jackie says goodbye to Niecy, and promises to stay in better contact with her.

After MJ hits the club again at the end of the episode, she finds a handsome, white guy to keep her company. They talk, dance, and eventually make out in the club. At work the next day, Mary Jane happily tells Mark how she kissed her first white boy. Kara comes in with news about the show, stating that they came in last place, which always happens, but they maintained their numbers. MJ is clearly not satisfied with that. However, at the end of the day she still won by getting her spot back. That night, she sits by the pool, smokes a cigar and has a drink, as Brandon suggested in the last episode, and smiles.

Another crazy episode of Scream Queens! Picking up from last week, Grace goes to talk to Dean Munsch about the Kappa baby, though the Dean dismisses the conversation, stating that Feather is the Red Devil. Therefore, Grace's theory about someone seeking revenge for the death of the Kappa sister is incorrect. Grace warns the Dean that if she keeps ignoring what's going on at the university, the Red Devil will eventually sneak attack the Dean and stab her in the heart. That night, as she showers, Dean Munsch is almost attacked by the Red Devil, but manages to beat him up before he could stab her. When he comes to, they have a brief fight, followed by the other Red Devil coming in, as well as someone dressed as Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia! The Dean handles herself pretty well though, able to beat up all of them pretty good! The killers eventually run off, surprisingly, and Dean Munsch is unscathed.

Meanwhile at the Kappa House, Chanel is convinced that Zayday is the killer and that Grace is helping her. The rest of the Chanels and Hester come up with terrible motives and clues to convict the duo, so Chanel decides to just hire somebody to investigate into them being involved. Later, we discover that Denise has gotten permission to live at the Kappa House from the Dean. Number 3 offers her $3 million to prove that Zayday is the Red Devil, which, of course, Denise accepts. She already thinks that Zayday is the killer, anyway. Now she just has to actually prove it.

Later, Grace goes to see Dean Munsch again. Not wanting to talk too much and implicate herself in the cover up at Kappa back in '95, the Dean just gives Grace the name of the girl who died: Sophia Doyle. Grace truly wants to stop the murders, but she also wants to know if she's the baby and the reason all of this is happening. Dean Munsch warns her that this could get really dirty if Grace keeps digging.

Denise goes to talk to Jennifer about Zayday possibly being the killer. Though Jennifer thinks
Zayday's nice, she reflects on a time when Zayday told her about being bullied in high school. That day, Zayday decided she would get real revenge on little rich girls everywhere. At that moment, Zayday busts in, having heard everything. She tells both Jennifer and Zayday to stay away from her. That night, as Jennifer is recording a candle vlog, the Red Devil comes up behind her and kills her on camera!!!

Denise later admits to the Chanels that she has nothing on Zayday, and she needs an advance to "help the investigation." Of course, Chanel stupidly agrees. At that moment, they all smell something burning, and find Jennifer's body sitting upright on the dining room table. The girl is covered in candle wax, with her legs crossed, holding burning candles! These killers are so morbid! Afterwards, Grace admits to Pete that she feels deep down that she is the Kappa baby, feeling like there was unfinished business here for her mom. Pete suggests trying to find the Hag of Shady Lane, believing she might be in the insane asylum or someone might have known her. Picasso (the mute lady who paints) shows them paintings of Gigi, and reveals that there was actually two babies - a boy and a girl! The plot thickens!

That night, Dean Munsch announces that Wallace University would be closed indefinitely. There is a candle vigil for Jennifer, as well. Chanel freaks out at the announcement, believing that now Kappa House is shut down, there will be no more parties, which means she can't be popular, and Chad will be break up with her. She wants to see both Grace and Zayday go down for all of this, and hires two cops from the UK to help her!

The next day, Grace confronts Gigi with the painting of Gigi holding two babies. Gigi calmly denies it, but Grace found her resume and discovered that she was a student here, and mysteriously dropped out during her sophomore year. Gigi rips Grace's theory to shreds, stating that this doesn't mean she was involved, and the painting could really be anyone. She then announces that she and Wes are engaged, and believes that Grace could just be doing all of this to remain the only girl in her father's life. Though we all know that Gigi is involved, Grace is going to have a hard time proving it without making herself look crazy.

Of course, Grace confronts Wes about the engagement. Apparently, Gigi just randomly came home with an engagement ring after suggesting Wes decorate his apartment, and he just decided to play along. Though Grace tries to tell him that Gigi is crazy, Wes admits he wants happiness, especially after all this time alone. Grace then realizes that Gigi must have known her mother as fellow Kappas ,and so Wes must have known Gigi from before! She quickly leaves, and goes back to the Kappa House. Chanel has learned from the British police that Grace's mother has a LONG criminal record, and calls Grace out on it. Apparently, after hooking up with Wes and getting pregnant, Grace's mom changed her name, and was arrested for larceny, shoplifting, DUIs (with Grace in the car), and more! Wes sued for custody and won, and her mother died in a car crash after drunk driving. Chanel calls Grace's mother a drunk, degenerate slut. Grace slaps her, and rightfully so!

Later, Denise decides to change things around the Kappa House, becoming House Mother. Chanel tries to shut her down, but Denise drags her into the bathroom to talk. Denise heard about what Chanel said about Grace's mother, and calls her out on it. She tells Chanel to apologize and change the way she treats everyone, or Denise will make Chad her full-time man!

Grace finds a picture of her mother, and asks Wes about everything. He admits that most of the things that Chanel stated were true. Turns out he burned the house to burn any evidence she might find against her mother. Wes was trying to protect her by hiding all of this from her, but Grace feels like he should stay far away from her for his own protection. Gigi comes in, and states that Grace has been slowly falling apart since she got here with the murders. Grace has a 1.4 GPA and is failing out of school. Gigi thinks that maybe he needs to take real action, like committing her! That idea is very harsh, but Wes actually looks like he's considering it.

Later, Chanel actually apologizes to Grace, though we know she probably doesn't really mean it. Chanel thinks that maybe the two of them balance each other out, with Grace maybe helping her to be a better person, and Chanel being upfront with her about her own mother.

At the end of the episode, we see Boone in disguise at the gym. He gets a call from, I assume, the other Red Devil, and they plan to take out Gigi out and continuing on with the murders!

Another spotlight for y'all today! As always, if you or your client is interested in being featured on The Spotlight, please visit our Features/Submissions page for more information!

Today, we have Rady Onabanjo, owner and designer of Saviwear Brands! The designer always had a love of style and fashion, and would receive compliments on her outfits and color coordination. Though she was into rapping and then law for a while, her journey eventually shifted to a career in fashion.

The designer officially started sewing a year ago, back in 2014, during a sewing course in college. After receiving a bad grade in class, Rady began watching YouTube videos to help her learn, and she began to pick it up faster than she did in class. This allowed her to strengthen her sewing skills, and she officially started Saviwear Brands. Saviwear is a brand that caters to all women, helping them to exude confidence and style with the brand's clothing. "In a comfortable and classic way, we show women how to be versatile," Rady said. "With just one piece you can style [our clothing] so many ways, [from] a nice stylish lunch date to a nice casual school day." Though she has started off with no business experience, and admits the work can be overwhelming, Rady loves that she is able to learn more about and grow in her field with her own designs.

In terms of what makes Saviwear different, Rady believes it is her technical and designing skills that sets the brand apart. "I can see Saviwear expanding to contemporary celebrities and developing a great name," she said confidently. In addition to growing her line, the designer is creating a documentary about black culture as a whole, looking at various issues within the black community.

Rady's advice to anyone with a dream? "Don't ever limit yourself to anything! You are never to unskilled to do anything!" she said. "We have to have faith in ourselves to accomplish whatever we want to make possible."

You can shop Saviwear on the brand's official website. You can also follow the line on Instagram, as well as Rady herself!
